Chapter 64: Struck On Abdomen
**The Demon’s Love**
*Chapter 64: Struck On Abdomen*
Amari’s
We stood in front of the mountain. I lifted my head, attempting to look at the peak of the mountain but all I could see was the clouds and it embark of journey. No one knew how high this mountain was – it was full of wonders, indeed. I glanced at Rymond who wore a mask around his face. He seemed to be way of my Uncle, who was a little bit versed in Royal Blood.
On the other hand, my Uncle didn’t seem interested in him, at least that’s what I thought. His well-behaved attitude for the past days was uncomfortable but it was better than having him messing around. Of course, it felt like calm before the storm, so I seized this moment to my heart’s content. I spent most of my time training and with Zaren, who is alternately my trainer and husband. He was just strict as the knights complained.
Maybe he was a little bit soft on me. Anyway, his way of training was just harder than I assumed. At first, I was anticipating since I have read from fiction books that training with your partner, of course not intimately, could be romantic. Hell, I didn’t feel that way. Rather, it was annoying and unfair. He made me exercised for all I care, ran for who-knows-how-long and how much laps I did. As a result, I built up muscles and I have more stamina than ever. It felt refreshing. I guess all my complains went to nothing.
“This is where Dakrness reside, should we barge in?”
My Uncle skeptically asked, and I frowned. “We have a plan, remember?”
He giggled, “You look out of it, I just had to make sure you can lead”, He shrugged his shoulders, resuming. “Because it’d be a shame to be killed midway.”
“Don’t say such vulgar things lest you want your head to roll down before you get to see Darkness.”
Zaren became impatient and blurted thoughtlessly. I would have been taken aback if he had done that before we professed our love to each other but right now, I felt protected and secured in his arms. I smiled at his words, not minding hearing my Uncle’s swearing words.
Zaren pointed his sword at the entrance while I darkened my gaze and tightened my grip on my sword. This is a battle. Battle, Yula! Do your best!
“Kill Darkness!”
We then marched towards the entrance as Rymond transported from here to the back and some of the knights went along with him. Adding to that, my Uncle went with us as to make sure nothing would be missed and would be thoroughly defeated. I disliked him being with us, but I also don’t have a choice since this is the best option we have. If we keep him out of the picture, no one knows what kind of evil thought he may have in his mind while being alone.
I braced myself for what was about to come and released a deep sigh. I must defeat my emotions this time! I clenched my fists, then put my Light Power into my sword, attacking the stone which blocked us while Zaren put it away with his power.
I heard a laughter, a female at that. It sounded just like mine when I was still Yula. It was shivering to hear your own voice no matter how hard I try not to be surprised about it. I closed my eyes, feeling the Dark Magic again and then I grunted.
“You came here without learning your lesson? Alright, I shall grant your desperate wish!” Dark Magic randomly swirled around then we jumped high, while the knights guarded us to the front, and we gave them our mana to have a stronger foundation of the barrier.
My Uncle surprisingly gave his Mana to us. Indeed, his power was from the Pills he was making, and it was actually funny how he could stay calm when he was the one who seemed suspicious at this moment. Although it was clear he was also doing his best, I just couldn’t tear off the fact that he may be hiding something. Therefore, we must be tightly secured to whatever we do.
We landed on the ground. Zaren led the fight, fighting the souls which went out of Darkness body. I lifted my hand, attempting to control the Dark Magic. It was challenging but I managed to get the trick of it and I effortlessly do so. I could feel my Uncle’s gaze on me but I couldn’t care for that now. He is surprised that I could control Dark Magic when I supposedly don’t have that ability. I grunted, wiping the blood from my mouth.
This is the first time I regulated Darkness so the impact was great. It even almost dominates me but I braced myself and didn’t want to be weak right now. I am strong and powerful.
“Bend down!” I said to one of the knights then I swung my sword to the soul, which vanished as soon as it contacted my sword. I spiraled around, tapping the knight’s shoulder. I cheered him up, “You did well! Keep doing so.”
He vigorously nodded his head, resuming fighting and then I looked at my Uncle, who was guarded by his own people. I told him that I wouldn’t be able to protect him at all times and I definitely didn’t want people who’d make this work a troublesome but he was just so annoying.
I approached them, swinging and attacking the souls with my Fire Power in between. I yelled at his knights, “What are you doing? Fight if you don’t want to die!”
The knights fearfully looked at me and I snickered. What kind of knights gets scared in this mission? Do they not know the danger they will give to themselves? It was ironic.
“W-we will!”
They responded thus I didn’t focus on them. I averted my eyes from them, stabbing the knight who was corrupted with the Dark Magic. Even if these knights live, they will be a bother so might as well just kill them. Their blood splattered on my armor and clothes but I merely clicked my tongue.
I turned around, striking the unknown people controlled by Dark Magic. Oh, this is risky.
I groaned, swayed my sword and thumped them with my Light Power.
“Amari!”
I heard a desperate voice from my side. I wasn’t supposed to turn around but I guess I should. Which was a mistake.
I found a sword struck into my abdomen and I instantly coughed up blood from my mouth. W-what did just happen?
