FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE.
Leila’s POV.
I quickly rushed out of my room and sat in my car, driving to the designated place I was to meet with my friend.
“Driver, take me to the city hotel.” I said, putting on my seatbelt.
“As you say ma’am.” A voice said.
That voice made my blood run cold.
“Be..Ben?” I stuttered.
“Sit and enjoy the ride, but not to the city’s Hotel.” Ben said and started the car.
“Help! Help! Help me.” I screamed in fear.
“It is useless princess, even if you’d scream your lungs out no one will come to your rescue, and if anyone is stupid enough to do that, I will make sure that person joins your maid.” Ben said, his voice low and threatening.
“The maid, you know about her?” I mumbled in disbelief.
“Princess,what happened? I thought you were so smart all of a sudden. Please do not prove me wrong.” Ben said, mockingly.
“You sent her right? You sent her to kill me!” I snapped at him .
“No, no, no baby. I would not dare do that. I love you too much and need you alive for my next plan. I can not kill you. This genius idea was brought up by my partner, who suggested that we distracted Mr Castor and his beloved wife.” He said, his tone dripping with mockery.
“Who is your partner! Answer me!” I said, reaching out my hand to strangle his neck.
“I would not advise you to do that. I have my men all pointing their guns at Alexander’s head and one wrong move, he is gone.” Ben said, his hands demonstrating what he said.
“Alexander, what did you do to him.” I asked, my voice breaking with tears.
“My poor lover girl is sad? No princess do not be sad. This is not the time.” Ben said and chuckled evilly.
“What are you going to do with Alexander! Tell me you monster! What will you do to him?” I asked, my voice trembling.
“I think you care way too much about Alexander. Don’t you want to know where I am taking you or what I want to do with you?” Ben asked.
“What do you want from me and where are you taking me to? “ I asked,narrowing my eyes.
“Find out.” Ben said and parked the car.
He stepped out of the car and walked to my door, opening it and dragging me inside an old abandoned warehouse.
“Honey, I am home.” Ben said, his grip on my hair tightening.
I winced in pain , but I could not help but wonder who this honey was. Could it be Allison?
“Welcome home my love, I am so glad you could make it. I see you got company. Make her feel comfortable.” Tammy said, stepping forward.
A pair of strong hands grabbed me and flung me across the room. I landed on the floor with a thud, and I felt my ribs crack.
“Tie her up,” Tammy instructed. “Let us see where her lover is and what he is up to.”
“Don’t you dare! Leave my Alexander out of this!” I barked at her and struggled to break free from the ropes that tied me to the chair.
I felt my left cheek sting, Tammy slapped me.
“He is my boyfriend and my Alexander! Not yours.” She spat on my face.
“You can continue with your drama later, for now we need her to lure Alexander here.” Ben said, pulling Tammy away from my face.
“Call him and make sure he comes here.” He added and let go of Tammy.
“Done.” Tammy said and walked away to another corner, talking to Alexander over the phone.
“What do you! Money! I will give it you Ben.” I growled at him.
“Well yes, I need money. But that is not the reason I went through the stress of bringing you here.” Ben said, his face extremely close to mine.
“What do you want!” I snapped at him.
Ben laughed out loud, his laughter filled the room.
“Patience baby, Patience.” Was my reply from Ben.
“If you dare hurt a single hair on his head, I will make sure you do not live to see the light of a new day.”I threatened.
“You are tied up in a chair and you are at my mercy. I do not think you understand what is happening here Leila. You are not in the position to say anything or even make threats. Your life is in my hand, and I can take it away.” Ben said, and his hands reached out to grab my neck.
I was scared to death, I gulped and closed my eyes preparing myself for whatever Ben had in mind for me.
Few minutes later, I slowly opened my eyes. Ben’s face was close to mine and he looked into my eyes.
“Scared ? Do not worry. I will not strangle you to death like I did with your aunt. I have news ways of killing someone.”
My eyes went wide in shock, he knew I was in his room the other day to snoop around and spy on him.
“Surprised? Common Leila you are not the smartest of them all you know. I knew why you were in my room the other day. You read my journal right? You know I killed your aunt and many other people.
Now imagine what I would do to Alexander if you try to act smart.” Ben said, his voice low and dangerous.
I felt a chill run down my spine and my blood ran cold.
I tried to speak but the words were stuck in my dry throat and refused to come out.
“Too shocked to speak?” Ben mocked.
The sound of heels striking the floor stopped me from talking.
“Is he coming?” Ben asked Tammy who just joined us.
“He should be here anytime soon.” Tammy answered, her lips curled up in a smirk.
“Let party begin.” Ben said.
“What party?”
