"I'm right outside love" Axel said kissing my cheek.
"don't worry" I gave him a smile.
"Bryce don't you think that it's better if you do not go in?" Renee asked.
"I want to go in, mom should know that I don't want her" Bryce said.
"You sure buddy?" Axel asked kneeling next to him.
"Yeah" Bryce nodded.
Antonio opened the door and gave me a nod as we both followed him inside.
mom was a seat on the fancy couch of Antonio's office.
poor couch, it's looking unfancy to me now.
"Kids" mom smiled as she stood up "baby boy" she walked and kneeled in front of Bryce making me tighten my grasp around him and pulling him back slowly.
"It's okay" Antonio whispered placing a hand on my shoulder I let go from Bryce slowly as mom wrapped her arms around him, but he took a step back and looked up to me.
I know you need that hug Bryce; I know.
"Oh" mom's face fell "Amelia, thank you for agreeing to see me".
"I only did it because you've been annoying Antonio nonstop, and that's not something I want to happen" I said.
"you act different" mom said "you changed".
"you changed us".
"You abused us mom" Bryce spoke quietly.
"I'm sorry, I got what I deserve" she said.
"You think that's what you deserve? Being in jail for few years? No woman, you deserve to go through what we went! You deserve to be abused the same way you did to us" I said.
"I wasn't a good mother I know".
"Is that what mothers do? Abuse their children?”
"I said I'm sorry".
"you think saying sorry will fix anything?" I asked "you ruined our life's, for years me and Bryce were in and out of foster homes and mostly abusive ones, so we didn't get abused only by you, we did from others and it's all because of you too" I laughed bitterly.
"I lost my husband" mom said.
"We lost our father" Bryce said Shutting her up.
"In the end it's all because of you" I said "and nothing will change that".
"I want to make things good again, why are you making things harder than it already is?" She asked.
"There are no things you need to make right because we're great without you. we both have loving family's, non-abusive one, ones who won't turn their back against us".
"So, you want me out of your life?" Mom asked.
"Yeah" Bryce answered.
"that's what we both want, better without you" I said.
"Amelia please let's fix this" she said.
"There is nothing left to me fixed" I shook my head.
"I think that's enough, you heard what both of them wanted to say, you heard it from them so don't ask again to see them, does any one of you want to see her again?" Antonio said.
"No, she scares me" Bryce said.
"Of course, no".
"You heard them saying it, never again or police will be involved" Antonio said "Malek, escort her out of the house".
Mom looks at us with tears in her eyes "I'm sorry kids, I hope one day you do forgive me".
"Let's go" the security said as he opened the door and left with her.
I let out a loud breath that I didn't knew I was keeping; I saw Renee and Axel by the door as I kneeled in front of Bryce.
"I'm so proud of you baby, you handled this very well. I'm proud" I hugged him.
"I just don't want to see her again" Bryce said "I want to go back to mom".
"I'll call her right now okay?" Renee said "come with me, you could tell her to come. She and your dad will be very proud of you as much as we are" Renee said as Bryce looked at me waiting for an approval.
I gave him a nod making him hug me again before he walked into Renee's way.
"Good job buddy" Axel whispered fist bumping Bryce’s before Bryce left with Renee.
"you did great" Antonio said patting my back.
"Thank you so much" I gave him a small smile hugging him.
"you're my daughter, of course" he smiled as me and Axel exited the room and as soon as Axel closed the door.
I sighed loudly.
"oh god that was horrible" I whispered "that was so fucking horrible".
"I think you and Bryce handled the situation really well, you both were strong" Axel said pulling me to him slowly as I rested my head on his chest.
"I'm incredibly proud of you baby, you're strong baby" he said kissing the top of my head.
"thank you but that was just.....— I just don't want to ever go through this again" I said.
"You won't, let's forget about what happened, how about what you wanna do?" Axel asked.
"I just need some cuddles" I pouted as he grinned.
"of course! Coming right away" he picked me up making a gasp escape my lips before I started laughing.
"Cuddles! Here we come!!" Axel said excitedly.
he's a sucker for cuddles.
