Drawing of the beast

"Now thats a question I want to ask willingly ask and I hope I get a straightforward answer, what's your name and where are we going?" Carly questioned trying to put on a brave face because if there is any thing that her instincts had just revealed to get, it was the fact that she didn't have time on her side any longer.

And another thing was that if she ever wanted to put up with this man, she had to be very courageous.

"My name is Uthred and where we're going is a place where would give you nightmares if you don't get acquainted with the drawing of the beast so stop avoiding them and love them, Carly." Uthred answered and Carly scoffed.

Of course, what did she expect?

She didn't expect Uthred to tell her anything concerning where they were going.

"Is the place so hidden and so treacherous that you can't even say where we're going straight forwardly. How despicable!!" Carly scoffed clicking her tongue.

"Carly, you want straightforward? All right, here it is...even if I tell you what you want to hear, you would never be able to understand it." Uthred said and no matter how much Carly didn't want to buy it, she knew that Uthred was right.

As she couldn't remember anything apart from her name, there was no way she would be able to comprehend anything that was unknown.

He was right anyway!!!

"Remember to get some rest Carly." He said and the next thing, Carly felt like she was hit with something and darkness seeped into hr vision before she passed out.

And of a truth, she was hit with a glass vase by Ubba to knock her out and stop her chattering while they journeyed to ____________.

The next time Carly woke up, she was in a room different from the one that she was in before.

What was the difference in transportation all about?

"Where am I?" She asked the instant she regained consciousness to no one in particular as a single tear slid out of the corner of her eyes.

"You're in .................., it's just like when some of you say the home of homes." Uthred answered and she yelped, jumping out of the bed immediately.

"Why are you so shocked?" He asked, sipping on a cup of cappuccino as he flipped pages of the book he was reading.

"How do you do it?" Carly asked and he raised a eye brow indicating he had no idea what she was even talking about.

"How do I do what?" He replied with a question as he stared at her.

"Sit there and drink coffee while reading 'heaven knows What' like you deserve it...knowing you just kidnapped a young girl that is totally innocent." Carly said mentally blackmailing him because she hoped that if she could appeal to his emotional side, she couldn't get a shot at escaping from wherever they are.

"The last time I recall, you were not so innocent. But I won't tell, you have to remember that by yourself." Uthred said and closed the book that he was holding.

"Your care time is over. This is where we see how strong willed and hell bent you were on living." Uthred said and began taking slow steps towards Carly.

Walking over to her side, he held both hands and cuffed them together without Carly protesting.

"Let's go." He ordered in a low tone and began walking away while Carly tracked him behind.

The instant they left the room was the instant when Carly realized while she was told to get used to the drawings on the wall.

Everywhere was decorated with the drawing of the beast and only looking at it made her eyes hurt.

"Why are the drawings everywhere? Is it that their designer didnt have a better creative idea because the drawings make this place look more like hell." Carly snickered with both hands behind her back.

"You don't have an idea what hell looks like, Carly. Dont make assumptions." Uthred said smiling.

The one fact about this man that annoyed Carly was the way he always held his smile even when passing a death sentence.

It was weird and creepy at the same time.

"Can I ask you a question?" Carly asked and he heaved a deep sigh before swerving to stare at her.

"If your question is where we are going, please reserve it." He commented and Carly pursed her lips into a straight line.

It didn't take long for Carly to be aware of the fact that they were making her a prisoner when they led her into the dungeon.

She knew that protesting would be a bad idea anyways because nobody would listen to her.

"Stay calm and be a good girl." Uthred said again like he was selling her off and that smile he always held always seemed to make Carly go nuts.

"Just get lost." That was all Carly could say clicking her tongue.

Sitting on the cold, hard floor...Carly stared at other prisoners that the fails permitted her to see and ut made her wonder if the same way she was kidnapped was the same way they had hostages all this innocent people.

That reminded her that when she had tagged herself as innocent, Uthred had rolled his eyes like what she had said had no meaning attached to it.

Due to the stress and pain that had body had been subjected to, in no time she slept off again and somehow when sleep started seeping in, she was grateful for it.

It was better to be asleep and unconscious of the fact that death was coming.

In sleep, death could be less painful.

She was awakened by the scent of bacon and eggs wafting through her nostrils and her staomch growled in response to hunger.

Without the food been close to her, Carly's mouth had already watered and for a split second, she wished she had taken Uthred's advice and eaten all those healthy food that were laid out to her.

But if they served bacon and eggs in the dungeon, then get stay couldn't be too bad for her.

The sound of metal plate rolling to her legs made her aware of the fact that her food had been served and she hurriedly made to eat it but when ahe opened ut, it wasn't bacon and eggs.

She was white sure this was leftover and not freshly cooked beans.

But the fact that it was beans infuriated her the more.

What it the food was poisoned to get rid of ten prisoners somehow?

"Hello, I'm not sure the right food has been served to me." She called out to the old maid who had served her plate and the woman sighed.

"You have t get used to the fact that this isn't your fathers house that you would get what you want all the time, make due with what is offered." The woman scowled as she made to move on to the next prisoner.

"Well then, please take it away from me. I would never eat beans even it meant the end of the world." Carly stated firmly as she threw her eyes away in anger.

"Okay then, please shift the plate to." The woman requested as she returned to Carly's cell.

"Here you go." Carly called out and threw the plate of beans at the woman, "Eat your stupid food for all I care." She yelled.

"What the hell? Are you out of your....what? Carly?" The woman called and when Carly turned to stare at the woman, her head began aching more than ever.
