Chapter 38 Where? I’m not exactly sure..
Amara POV
“Fck, stick her again!” The man who was carrying me shouted. Wherever we went.. It’s not a good place. I can sense the death.. I can smell the blood. My goddess it truly reeks of blood down here..
Vampires.. that’s why they smell different.
“I can’t! The little brat is quick!” The one trying to pour liquid into my mouth from a vial shouted. He used his knee to push my arms down, and then he pinched my cheeks inward with one strong hand so hard I couldn’t keep my mouth closed.
I felt a warmth flow through my entire body as I began to choke on the liquid, my nerves instantly relaxing. I could just.. sleep..
NO! Do not sleep.. stay awake..
“Now do what we need to do so we can go. I have better things to do.”
The smell of human blood filled my nose as he lifted a glass cup to my lips.
“Drink.” He said, but I shook my head. He grunted impatiently and held my nose, waiting for me to need to breathe. I tried to hold out as long as I could..
My mouth opened as I sucked in the sweet air around me, and he took that moment to dump the blood into my mouth. Warm and metallic.. I cringed as he pulled the cup away and forced my mouth closed and held it.
“Swallow.” He snapped.
I held back tears as I swallowed the blood in one gulp, my stomach turning and nausea completely taking over. Vomiting that back up is not something I look forward to doing.
“How is she STILL awake? Are you sure you got the dosage right?” I heard the first man ask, just as I felt a clink at my wrist, accompanied by a searing pain. Hmm..
I looked to see shackles, and that’s when I realized. I won’t be able to free myself if I’m shackled in silver. But I can already feel the effects of whatever that liquid was.. and my reflexes are not likely going to be terrible and entirely off.
I looked at the men, the faint light behind them not helping me get a good look at them. Whatever they’d given me had definitely weakened my sight.. along with my hearing, and shifting is definitely out of the question..
“Yes, I’m certain. I gave her twice the amount.” The one shackling my left hand spoke.
He isn’t finished locking it..
I grabbed a handful of dirt from my right and did a silent prayer to the moon goddess. If I die here, at least I’ll die fighting.
I tossed the dirt into the man’s eye, stunning him long enough to free my wrist and stand.
“Ah! You little Btch!” He hissed in pain as he tried to reach for me but couldn’t quite see me.
The other man lunged at me but I dodged-just barely- and grabbed the first thing I could off the little table of what I’m only going to assume are torture devices- and held it between us.
“Come now, we don’t want to hurt you.” The first man spoke, his hands raised in a half-mock surrender. I held what seemed to be a small blade, I guess that’s not the worst thing to grab.
“W-where am..” I swallowed what little saliva I had and took a breath. “Where a-am I? And who are y-you?”
The other had fully recovered now, but he had a devilish look in his eyes. I could see the anger as well as his hunger. I’d heard that vampires had a taste for werewolf blood. And that.. That I feel is a dangerous combo.
Tongue clicks moved my focus back to the other one.
“You’re not really in the position to ask questions now, wolf queen. Just be a good pup and get back over here.” He spoke, his voice calm and steady.
“Why do you want me?” I pushed further, trying to get any sort of answer for this.
“Oh, it’s not us who want you. Though I do find the smell of your blood irresistible, you’re untouchable to us.” He spoke, I could feel he wasn’t lying.. but who then?
“W-who?” I asked.
“Just grab the dmn brat.” The one I threw dirt at snapped. He lunged forward impatiently and tried to grab me.
He caught hold of my nightgown shoulder and it ripped, and I sliced the blade around to get him off. The stench of his blood filled the air as he let out a yelp.
“Ah, Fck,” he hissed. Within seconds he was in front of me, his sliced cheek slowly healing and his hands on my throat, shoving me into the cold, wet ground.
If only they hadn’t given me whatever was in that vial.. I could truly defend myself.
“Stupid btch.” He hissed, my eyesight started going black, and so I did what any sane person would do in such a time. I remembered I still have the blade.
So, I stabbed. And goddess did I stab hard. Where? I’m not exactly sure.. my sight just keeps getting worse, and now I can barely see.
Though.. that doesn’t stop me from stabbing.. not even as everything around me falls blank and I’m just staring into emptiness.

Unknown POV
“The Wolf Queen has been captured just like you asked, sir.” My second in command spoke as he stood beside me, arms crossed as he watched the men and women within the parlor drink and mingle.
“That’s good news,” I said, a tinge of excitement hitting like a small wave. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I wonder how that went. I want details.
“And?” I asked, I heard a shriek to my left, it would appear one of the vampires is getting carried away with their food. I took a deep breath. I sighed as I awaited an answer.
“I heard they ordered two rounds of herbs to get her to sleep. Whatever they’d originally given her didn’t keep her out long.”
“To be expected. She’s not just any wolf queen. Do your best to remember that, Tomas.” I said, briefly glancing in his direction. “Take me to her.”
With a single nod he waited, I stood and followed him out of the parlor and through the stone hall.
“She hasn’t said much from what I was told, either.” He said. I nodded, though he couldn’t see me.
We walked for several minutes before finally reaching the silver gate that leads to the dungeon. I wanted to put her somewhere more.. sanitary, but if she’s putting up such a fight she can enjoy the stone floor.
Tomas opened the gate and as we stepped in, my eyes widened at the sight before me.
There she is, practically on the shoulders of one of my vampire henchmen, stabbing him in the neck repeatedly. I stood in awe as she placed the blade between her teeth and with her hands, and ripped the vampire's head clean off.
“What is going on.. in here..?” I could barely get out.
With a grunt, she dropped off the man’s body before it fell to the ground, and she turned quickly, her pitch black eyes locking with mine instantly.
Familiarity hit me like a train. She looks so much like..
She apparently heard something because her head snapped to the side and a growl escaped her lips.
“There’s another vampire in there. What would you like me to do?” Tomas asked.
“Ahh, let her finish it. Retrieve me when she’s done, and find something stronger to knock her out. I can’t have her trying to rip off my head just yet.”
