Chapter 48.

They had to rush into Ryder's car because of the pouring rain and after twenty minutes they reached his hotel.

By the time they got into his hotel room, they were both drenched from the rain. But they didn't care about it, it was as if they didn't even notice anything else but the presence of one another.

Ryder told Holly everything, from the fact that Jake his best friend stole from his company and was wanted by the law to the extents which Kim's deception ran deep when she partnered with Jake.

Jake was still at large somewhere, the police had been unable to find him. Holly had called Jamie out of excitement and told him to start the bakery's reopening without her. She still very much planned on spending Christmas with her family, that was if Ryder decided he wanted to stay in New Jersey for Christmas. They had spent so much time apart that Holly didn't want to spend a minute away from him.

Ryder was overly excited about the fact that he was going to be a father, his whole face seemed to light up in joy when Holly talked about her cravings and her doctor's appointments.

"We should change out of these clothes."

Holly said as she started taking off her wet shoes, her clothes were mildly drenched but she wasn't as wet as Ryder who had tried to protect her from the rain.

"Yes. We should. I really missed you." Ryder said huskily as he gently touched Holly's cheek. Her body instantly reacted to his touch.

"Me too."

She whispered.

"Come here."

He said, pulling her into him as he ran  his fingers through her hair.  Holly closed her eyes as she leaned into his touch. Their eyes glazed into one another's and butterflies rose up steadily in Holly's stomach.

He traced one of his hands down her neck, to her shoulders as another one moved in front of her dress where her zipper was. He didn't take his eyes off for one second. She felt beautiful and alluring as his eyes pierced her being.

She became lost in his emerald green eyes which promised unalduterated seduction. The dress fell with a soft thud to the floor, leaving Holly in her pink cotton pants and bra.

She was unashamed, despite the recent weight gain from the pregnancy, Ryder looked like he even wanted her more.

Slowly, her fingers moved up his wet shirt, she unbuttoned him until his taut ripped muscles appeared before her. Her hands travelled up as she kissed him up his chest. She heard the sharp intake of breath as her fingers gently massaged him. His hands carressed her softly, savoring every moment. Holly pressed herself closer to him, almost consumed by her own burning desire.

Her hands moved down his belt as she unbuckled them. She kissed her way down his chest down to his stomach as she reached for his manhood. Her hands trembled as it forced its way out. She had worked up so much courage that she had to continue.

She gripped him softly as the beast stared back at her, she swallowed hard, unsure if she could do it, she had little experience.

Ryder quietly stroked the side of her cheek.

"You don't have to do it." He murmured but it only gave her the courage that she could.

She was free to do it, she wanted to please him, she wanted to please Ryder. She worked her way as far as she could and she opened wide. His hands knead her hair as he slowly grazed her cheek.

Slowly, Ryder pulled Holly up and lifted her to him, she wrapped her legs around him. His kiss was demanding as he held her tight, he bent down and laid her on the bed,  his palm slid from her neck down and unhooked the front clasp of her bra.  Her heart pounded widely inside her chest as his eyes roamed her body. He expertly removed her panties as he kissed down her legs.

In an instant, her back arched off the bed as his mouth covered her whole. Her body twisted in pleasure as he held her in place. Her moans were drowned by the heavy downpour of the rain.

He didn't stop as he raised her legs and continued to dive deeper and deeper.  Her cries rose from the depths of her body craving and gasping for more.

"I want more!" Her lips spoke as his tongue was replaced with long fingers. The intensity in his eyes and the corners of his lips told her there was so much more to come. He worked his lips and tongue back to her breasts as he nibbled and pulled. Her hand found his hair as she pulled it, her groans became much more wild as she became lost in the throes of passion.

"I'll give you what you want." He said as he kissed her and entered her in one fluid stroke that rendered Holly speechless. With each precise movement, Holly felt sensations that she had never felt before. The fire was so intense that she could no longer hold out.

"Holly, hold it!" He whispered to her but Holly shook her head. She was trying but she couldn't hold it out any longer.

"Look at me!" He said as his strokes slowed down.

"I want you to feel everything."

She let go and released herself, felt his skin glide against hers as their breathing became one

Her eyes focused on Ryder's as her body rocked to the rhythm of the beat.  Suddenly, Holly felt the overwhelming urge to take over. She flipped Ryder over and began her ride. A passion that burned so hot that it consumed them both. She rocked her body against his as his body rose off the bed.

He held on to her hips as the sound of the rain drowned out their voices. Their orgasms came to a head as they both screamed out in total ecstasy. Her body fell on top of his in a pool of nothing.

She was satisfied.

More than satisfied, she felt pleasantly refreshed.

Their bodies were still connected as he held her in his arms, their legs a tangled mess as their breathing loud and fast.

Holly looked At Ryder and smiled fondly. She would always remember the night long after the years.

Always and always, she thought as Ryder flipped them both over and smiled at her.

"Are you okay?" He asked softly as he removed strands of her hair away from her face.

"Honestly, I've never been better."

"Good."

Ryder said and there was a long pause between the two of them as they both cuddled under the warm covers while listening to the sound of the rain.

"When I heard you left New York, I thkyhyt I'd lost you forever."

Ryder said quietly and Holly tuned to look at him

"I felt stupid for not doing something earlier. I knew there was no way in hell I'd allow it all to end like that. And then, when Charlie told me about our baby, I knew I was going to do everything to get you back."

"And you did. You got me back."

Ryder shook his head.

"Not permanently. I need to find a way of making you mine so you don't move to another state when something happens."

Holly laughed at the statement but Ryder looked like he was dead serious.

"I won't run away again. I promise."

Holly assured him.

Ryder kissed Holly's knuckles.

"I know you won't. But I have been thinking about it on my way here. And I finally found a solution "

Holly furrowed her eyebrows as she wondered what Ryder was talking about.

"What solution? A solution for what?"

"Well, a way to keep us together forever. So that even if we bicker and fight, you'd never have to leave."

"What do you propose?"

Holly asked and Ryder stared into her eyes with an excited grin on his face.

"Marriage."

"Marriage?" Holly blurted out and Ryder nodded.

"Yes. Why don't we get married?"

"Well, because you can't just wake up one day and say you want to get married. It's not like that..."

Holly started but Ryder wasn't listening.

Instead, he reached for the bedside table and pulled out a black velvet box.

Holly gasped as she watched him go on his knees.

What? There was no way in hell this was happening, she thought as he opened up the box to reveal a beautiful ring in the box.

It was perfect.

It was a halo 18 karat vintage engagement ring in a princess cut rose gold fashion. The main diamond was surrounded by dozens and dozens of tiny diamonds and it was one of the most prettiest rings that Holly had ever seen.

Holly was dumfounded.

"I wanted to plan out something elaborate, but I couldn't wait. And I know you'd prefer something more intimate. The truth is, I can't live without you. And every single day without you is a complete mess. The truth is I love you so much it physically hurts. I can't wait to spend every minute with you and I cherish the times I've had with you even more. I can't wait to love you and our baby with all that I have."

"Please, say yes Holly. Don't think about anything else. Just say yes and make me whole."

Ryder pleaded but Holly didn't need any convincing. Her answer was yes.

"Yes, yes yes! Yes, a thousand times!"

She screamed as he fit the ring on her third finger.

"It's a little tight. But I love it either way." Holly said as she hugged and kissed Ryder.

"We'll have it resized." Ryder murmured as he came back into bed and hugged Holly.

He couldn't believe it, he was about to be married to only woman for him. Everything was ridiculously perfect and exciting that he couldn't even contain his excitement.

"We can get married quickly. Because of the baby."

Holly said as she put a hand on her belly.

Ryder nodded in agreement.

"We can get married tomorrow if you want to. I don't like the fuss of large weddings. Besides it'll take me a while to find a best man."

He answered as his mind briefly wandered to Jake.

"We could elope. Have a small wedding somewhere and come back married."

Holly offered and Ryder's eyes widened in agreement.

"Ohhhhh! What about Vegas? We could get married there? What do you think?"

Holly cocked her head in thought. It wasn't a bad idea. She didn't really want the stress of a big wedding, she just wanted a small intimate wedding.

"That sounds wonderful. Vegas it is!"
