The screaming is endless, but the feeling is more exhilarating.
I want all their blood, their pain, their tears. I want to see them burn to ashes.
They think I am nothing but violence then so be it.
My face twists as a sly smile curves up my lips, my chest is heaving as I watch them scream in horror.
“It's happening!!!”
“Fate is taking place.”
“Pray to the moon goddess. We are all going to die.”
“Oh my goddess.”
“Help us please.”
Their screams, and shouts bring nothing but pleasure to my ears.
“MELANIE STOP!!!” a distant voice screams.
The voice sounds familiar, but I am too dazed, too into my feeling, too into my head to decipher who it actually belongs to.
“Kill them all!!” that familiar voice booms.
“Let me take control, give up the wheels for me.” her voice persists.
“Don't let it control you. Accept it.” my mom's voice penetrates my ears just when I am about to let go.
“Mom?” the demons in me recedes, taking a step back as I my eyes snap around searching for her.
“Don't listen to her. You will always be an abomination.” that crackling voice repeats.
My head squirms as the voices increase, ripping up my skull.
No, no, no.
My hands fly to my ears as I apply pressure, trying to get the voices to stop.
“Let me in.” her voice screeches, a loud ring echoes in my head.
No!! Stop!!
“They don't deserve to live.” she urges, my control slipping as my ears begin to burn.
Ahh!!!
“Let's burn them all.”
No, I don't want to.
“We will never be good enough.”
I am. I AM GOOD ENOUGH!!!!
“You can't make a difference, just bring them to ashes.”
NO!!
“No matter what you do, you will always be seen as an enemy.”
That breaks me, my resolve loosening as I find meaning in those words.
“They never appreciate me.” I murmur.
“WE LOVE YOU MELANIE SPANE!!!! ALWAYS, AND FOREVER!!!”
The voice is so loud it penetrates through my wall, and reaches my soul.
My eyes snap to the person who said that.
Zara.
“Z?” my voice is way too deep as my vision blurs.
My surroundings are filled with different colours that change every second.
“Yes, it's me. You need to take control. Don't let the voices in your head control you.” she screams, placing her palms beside her lips.
“I LOVE YOU NO MATTER THE SHADE YOU BRING.” Bion screams, tears brimming beneath his eyes.
“YOU ARE THE BEST SISTER EVER.” Julie screams, leaping up, and down.
“YOU ARE AN AMAZING FRIEND, AND I AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU.” Kim yells, waging her hands in the air.
“YOU ARE SELFLESS, AND A WONDERFUL SOUL!!” Tios shouts, sending a wink my way.
My breath picks up as the feeling rages on. I feel an invisible shield emitting from my body.
“YOU ARE MY ROLE MODEL, AND MY CHEERLEADER.” Origen jumps up, waving his hands in the air
“When you want to destroy them, think about us.” Aiden adds, a small smile lacing his lips.
My friends.
Memories flashed through my head.
That one time when Origen bribed me to put in good words for him to Z.
The other time we went to the beach, and had a chicken fight.
The first night I ever had in Bion's house, I nearly killed Origen.
When I had my first shift they let me beat them to a pulp.
The memories so much I can't help the tears rushing down.
“Weak, and pathetic.” that voice came again.
“Let me show you how it's done. This is your fate, just surrender.” she growls.
My hand lifts as my eyes burn brighter.
“Ahhhh!!!!”
“Run!!”
“I can't move!!!”
“I don't want to die!!!”
I pull back my hand, refusing to let it move forward to let any harm come to them.
My belly burns as sweat drips down my forehead. I can't let her do this.
“You can only stall for a while, but I will wear you down.
They can't move no matter what, I will fight you till you lose control, and I will burn the world down as you watch.” she growls, a loud laughter bubbling through me.
“Bion!!!” I scream.
A force slams into me, sending my body to the edge of the wall.
A cracking sound fills the air.
My back bends backwards as a scream leaves my lips.
“BION!!!” I yell, tears running down my cheeks as the force causes me to bend my neck.
My body creaks as my gaze tries unrelently to focus my eyes on him.
On Bion.
“Please, you have to do it.” I scream out as pain rakes through my being.
He stalks forward, the dagger gripped firmly in between his palm as he staggers, “No, I can't do it. Please don't make me do it.” he cries out.
“Bion please I can't hold on any longer.” I cry, feeling the crack deepen in my soul as my struggles turn weak.
“I can't. I am so sorry, burn the whole world.” he yells, tugging at his hair harshly.
“Listen to me baby. What is this world without any of you in it? It would just be a punishment.
The torture of reliving everyday without any of you. The memory haunting me every second is not worth it.
One life over billions is a fair trade, please do it.” I plead, a tear running down my cheeks.
“But what would my life be without you? You complete me, you are the reason I want to fight to see another day.
You gave me hope, you gave me a reason to live. Please don't do this to me, don't make me do this.” he cries out, eyes red as his veins pop out causing his his hands tremble.
“You can control this Mel, please!!” his legs buckle as he drops to his knees.
“I can't, baby. One life, over a billion. It's worth it, I love you.” I said.
In a swift motion I fall to my knees, grabbing his hand around the dagger, and plunge it into my belly.
“MEL NO!!!” he screams, trying to plunge it out but it's too late.
“No!!!! How dare you!!!” the voice in my head screams.
“I will always be with you.” I murmur as I feel my essence draining from me.
It's finally over.
“NOOO!!!!”
