Chapter 314: Just Say It Aloud

Chapter 314: Just Say It Aloud
Pierre Bronsnic's POV:

"Just say it aloud," I told her as I was still kneeling down at the side of her on the massage table.

I did the best I could to maintain a firm yet subtle tone when I spoke just then. I was not considered to be an emotional man. Never before have I been viewed as one. I didn't want to let that stop me now.

No matter what, I wanted to know if it was the same. If she had the same ability that I had. Well, maybe not exactly, but I wanted to know if she could tell how I was feeling in that precise moment, or if she just saw my demeanor and assumed I would be sad for refusing to look at her.

"You just..." Celia said as she started to speak whenever I looked up at her. "You just seem sad, that's all."

"Did you feel anything?" I asked, looking deep into her eyes.

To my surprise, I was pleased that she allowed me to look as long as I did, especially with her looking back at mine.

"That's all?" I asked in return. I wanted to be absolutely sure that she didn't feel a bit of sadness coming from me. "You are certain that is all. You looked into my eyes, and I appeared sad."

"Well..." She started to say, but then she broke eye contact with me, and I looked down for a moment, giving her an opportunity to continue to look without me having to stare back at her.

I was still looking down when I responded, asking, "Well? Was there something else you were going to say?"

"No," she said plainly as I looked back at her again. This time she looked at me for a brief moment before turning her face to look back down inside the headrest of the massage table.

"All right," I said as I stood up to my feet once more. "I'm going to finish with your massage, then I want you to get some rest."

All of a sudden, I felt a massive rush of unease that flowed through her as I immediately knelt down beside her, placing my arm on top of her shoulders and grabbing hold of her opposite elbow as she attempted to set up again.

This time I allowed her to turn her head to where she could face me. And it was her eyes. Her eyes said it all.

You could see tears starting to build. That was followed by another wave of intense unease that flowed through her.

"All I want you to do is rest," I told her as she looked at me, blinking several times, allowing several tears to be shed from her eyes. "You have nothing to be sad about."

"But..." She attempted to say when I cut her off.

"No butts," I said as I turned to look back towards her lower asset. Then, when our eyes met again, I added, "You are to lie on yours and rest once I finish with your massage. You have been through enough as of late. You need to get some rest. Once you wait, I will ensure that you have a sufficient meal."

She seemed a bit reluctant in that moment but did seem to calm down. I watched her swallow as I could feel the unease starting to wash away.

Once I stood on my feet, I spoke. I walked over and grabbed the massage oil, pouring another decent amount into my hands before setting the bottle back down on the floor in front of her. I then walked back, rubbing my hands together before lightly running my fingertips up and down her backbone.

I liked that it gave her. It tickled in a way, as I could tell by the way she moved from side to side as I dragged my fingers lightly across her skin. There's nothing I wanted more than to be intimate with her. However, knowing everything that had previously happened to her, all of that was going to have to wait.

I wanted to ensure that she couldn't read my mind. Seeing that someone was sad and then thinking that is a visual response. It doesn't necessarily give them the gift of telepathy. It's not hard to look at someone and see they have a frown on their face and then assume that they are sad in a melancholy kind of way.

As I began to massage her shoulders, rubbing my hands up and down the sides of her arms, I could tell that she was finally relaxing under the weight of my hands, as I could hear her moan every now and then. I was pleased with that result.

No matter what, there was still something else weighing heavily on the back of my mind. I needed to go deal with the individuals who placed her into this position in the first place. One thing is about it is, only one individual would be held higher than the rest.

I heard her groan in slight pain as I didn't intend to squeeze the back of her calves in a harder manner at the moment the image of his face came to the forefront of my mind.

"Are you all right?" I asked her right then. "I didn't intend to squeeze your legs that hard."

She sniffled slightly before lifting her head and again laying it on the side of her arm when she responded, saying, "I'm all right. I just didn't anticipate it. You did squeeze a little hard."

"I will try to be gentle," I said back to her.

This time, I was careful when I ran Donovan's image through my mind. He was supposed to be my esteemed colleague. One who worked for the same company as I did, only in different parts of the world.

Never would I have thought that about him. He was her father after all. You would have thought that a parent would be a caring individual, but not in her case. Although I highly doubt she would consider him to be in any relation anymore. Donovan Bennett. You have met your match this time.

Suddenly, there was a knock just outside the bedroom door, causing both me and the lovely Miss Celia to turn towards the open doorway. She immediately got nervous when I placed my hand on the lower portion of her back.

"You're all right," I told her, my tone firm and reassuring. "They will come in here."

Then, in a louder tone, I spoke again, saying...
