The Contracted Mayoress

Betrayal and hurt from her long-term lover drove Wendy Ford into an unplanned, pleasurable night with a stranger who later turned out to be the billionaire mayor of Green Bay. When the mayor accidentally learns of the outcome of what was supposed to be their one-night stand, he unknowingly makes Wendy an offer that would give her a fresh start in life. Wendy was, however, still plagued by the betrayal of her past lover and was not willing to give companionship a chance. But to escape painful memories of her previous relationship that would always linger in Madison City, where she has lived all her life, she agrees to be the contracted mayoress of Green Bay and to be bound to the mayor only through the child. But what was only meant to be a way to escape the humiliation of a betrayal and leave her shattered love life behind begins to blossom into an unwavering love between two people from different worlds. Wendy discovers that she is reshaping the mayor's dispersed world, exposing his hidden adversaries, igniting jealousy, and helping him erect sturdy walls of power. She rises above her fears and becomes a force to be reckoned with. But this life that Wendy has found seems to be short-lived. What happens when her former lover shows up again in a life she has restructured to dim the rekindling fire of love gradually growing in her?
