Chapter 7

Chapter 7

No, why is this happening?

Lila looked at Alexander. "Mr. Sinclair, if you're really afraid I'll complain about you, you shouldn't be so bossy and unreasonable."

Alexander's eyes instantly turned cold and threatening.

He stepped closer to Lila, and even the air became filled with danger. "Say that again?"

Lila trembled. "I got it, I won't say bad things about you."

"About sleeping in separate rooms - don't mention a single word."

"Okay."

"And no more staying out all night."

"Okay."

Is this ever going to end?

Besides, whose fault was it that she stayed out last night?

Lila finally saw it clearly - Alexander was really afraid of Gaia and needed to play the role of a good husband in front of her. He needed her cooperation, but instead of friendly discussion, he was ordering her around like some high and mighty king.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Lila lifted her foot to walk into the Sinclair Manor.

Suddenly, her hand was grabbed.

Lila turned around in surprise and found that Alexander was actually holding her hand!

This was Lila's first time holding hands with a man!

Alexander's broad, dry palm was very warm. That warm sensation spread wildly across her entire hand, striking straight to her heart and stirring up ripples.

Lila looked at him in a daze, even her words becoming stuttered. "What... what are you doing?"

"Acting. Understand?" Alexander's steady but cold voice was like a bucket of cold water pouring down from the top of Lila's head.

Lila came back to her senses and replied in an equally indifferent tone. "I know, you should have said so earlier."

Although Alexander was holding her hand, he walked with extremely large strides, completely ignoring the fact that she was shorter than him, had shorter legs, and took smaller steps.

Lila had to jog to keep up with his pace.

The Sinclair Family Manor covered 25,000 square feet with complete facilities. Besides the dedicated back garden, other green spaces covered nearly 600 square feet, because Gaia had once said she liked living in places with good environments.

Even though Alexander took large, fast steps, it still took them ten minutes to reach the main living room.

When Lila entered, several pairs of eyes in the spacious, bright living room all turned to look at her at once, making her body tremble in fright.

So many people!

Seeing Lila and Alexander holding hands, Gaia smiled meaningfully.

She bragged to her friends. "See, I told you Lila is a good girl and Alex would definitely like her. Look, they just got their marriage certificate yesterday, and today they're already holding hands."

"You're so blessed. My grandson is still single and just knows how to fool around outside all day," said one elderly lady.

Another elderly lady chimed in. "Young people's feelings heat up so fast, maybe in a few months there'll be a baby too."

Gaia beamed with joy. "If that really happens, that would be wonderful."

Then she waved to Lila and introduced the elderly people around her. "Lila, come, let me introduce you. These are all grandma's friends of several decades, just like family."

Lila greeted them politely. "Hello, hello."

"And this is your aunt, this is your second uncle and second aunt."

Lila greeted them one by one. "Hello."

"This is your sister Isadora Sinclair, and this is your second uncle's daughter, also your sister, Arabella Sinclair. Alex's parents are abroad and won't be back for a while, so you won't meet them today."

"Hello Isadora, hello Arabella..."

Aunt Vivienne Sinclair looked at Lila. "Mom, the wife you found for Alex is quite pretty."

"Lila's good qualities aren't just her looks. In time, you'll all discover them and come to like her."

Second Aunt Linda Sinclair smiled. "Mom, whether we like her isn't important. What matters is whether Alex likes her. Didn't Alex just recently look for Celeste? How did he get married so quickly?"
