"That's right, I'm willing," Alexander said.
Lila was momentarily stunned.
When he said "I'm willing," his voice was deep and firm, reminding her of those scenes in TV dramas where the groom says "I do" with determination at the wedding.
But why would he be willing?
Hadn't Alexander always been unhappy about Grandma forcing him to marry her?
