Chapter 18
Now Alexander had to drive with Lila, who was supposed to be the driver. You can imagine how angry he was!
If he didn't still need her pregnancy to get Celeste back, did she think he would be this easy to deal with?!
Lila sat nervously in the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt.
Alexander drove like a maniac the whole way, speeding and passing cars multiple times, scaring her half to death.
Lila wanted to call the police and report him for breaking traffic rules!
But even though Alexander was driving so fast and constantly passing other cars, he had complete control of the vehicle and it was very stable.
She had to admit, his driving skills were really good.
All she could say to herself was: impressive, truly impressive.
In the Sinclair Group's underground parking garage, Lila watched Alexander park the car and got out with him.
If Lila was the driver, then once Alexander arrived at the office, her job should basically be done.
Even though it was Alexander who drove her to the office.
But considering the driver's job was finished, Lila gathered her courage and asked him: "Boss, now that you're at the office, can I leave?"
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere. My job's done once I get you to the office, right?"
Alexander scoffed coldly, "You think being a driver is that easy?"
Lila asked sincerely, "What do you mean, boss?"
"You need to pick up and drop off clients. When I go out to meet clients, you have to drive too. It's not like you're done just because you got me to the office. Besides, did you even drive me to the office today?"
"But you saw my skill level. I don't think I'm qualified for this job."
Alexander glanced at her coldly. "Come upstairs with me."
Lila didn't dare ask what for, and could only agree obediently. "Okay..."
At the elevator, Lila stood beside Alexander.
When the elevator doors opened, she was about to get in after him, but Alexander said coldly, "Get out."
Lila, "..."
Was he serious?
He told her to come upstairs, and now he's telling her to get out?
And using such rude language too.
Lila gritted her teeth, her tone getting worse, "Didn't you tell me to come upstairs?"
"This is a private elevator. You're not worthy. Take the other one." With that, Alexander closed the elevator doors.
Lila watched the elevator close right in front of her, her expression falling.
Communicating with this high-and-mighty CEO was so difficult. She wasn't sure anymore if she could make it through the full year.
Lila took the staff elevator to the top floor.
To get to Alexander's office, she had to pass through the executive office area. The staff inside saw her and asked, "Miss, who are you looking for?"
"I'm Mr. Sinclair's driver. He told me to come up."
The staff member had heard from Charlie that Mr. Sinclair hired a driver, so hearing this, they didn't doubt her and said politely, "Let me take you to Mr. Sinclair's office."
"Thank you."
After Lila was brought to Alexander's office, the staff member said to him, "Mr. Sinclair, your driver is here."
Alexander responded elegantly to acknowledge this, and the staff member left.
Lila looked at Alexander.
Alexander was already sitting at his desk, absorbed in his work. His expression was serious and focused, and he radiated a unique charm that serious men have - captivating and mesmerizing.
For a moment, she got lost watching him.
"Come here."
Alexander's cool voice reached her ears. Lila snapped back to reality and quickly walked over. "What is it?"
