Lila said honestly, "The diamond is a bit too big, not suitable for everyday wear."

She paused, pointing at his slender fingers with her right hand, reminding him, "You... aren't wearing a ring either."
Alexander let out a light scoff and asked back, "Do I have a ring?"
"You don't have a ring but you have money, you can buy one. Anyway, if we're going to wear rings, both of us have to wear them. I can't be the only one wearing one."
"Both of us?"
He laughed coldly, "Is Mrs. Sinclair trying to announce our relationship to everyone at the Sinclair Group?"
She said in a low voice, "No one would notice a small driver like me. But if you wore a wedding ring, they'd definitely know you're married. Are you willing to wear one?"
Watching Lila question him back, he suddenly leaned in close to her.
Lila instinctively pulled back, but Alexander reached out to support her waist, pulling her toward him. His deep eyes were complex and dark, "Mrs. Sinclair, you're getting bolder and bolder now, actually daring to ask me to wear matching rings with you. Why don't you tell me, where does this confidence come from?"
"Normal couples are supposed to wear matching rings. That's common sense."
"Are we a normal couple?"

Alexander stared at her for a few seconds, then continued, "Talking back to me again and again, you really have some nerve."
Lila didn't know how to argue with Alexander anymore.
He would always say so much, and as soon as she opened her mouth to argue back even once, it was "talking back," and then he'd bring up that marriage agreement to settle scores with her.
Why was Alexander so terrible?
She protested unhappily, "Boss, I should at least have some basic right to speak, shouldn't I? Or do you prefer that no matter what you say, I just keep my mouth shut and nod without making a sound?"
"Did I say that?"
"But you say I'm talking back whenever I say one thing..."
Alexander glanced at her sideways, "Now you're not just talking back, you're making complaints too. Your nerve has really grown compared to before."
Lila muttered quietly, "You were the one who said you wanted to get along well with me, and even sent me flowers. I'm just trying to get along well with you now. If you don't like it, I'll just be mute from now on, but then don't complain that I'm boring."
Listening to her speak up, Alexander felt an inexplicable pain in his chest that he couldn't release no matter what.
Lila was really good with words.
He slowly raised his hand, his fingertips landing on Lila's right cheek, gently brushing aside the stray hair on her forehead, and spoke in a low voice, "Didn't you just ask me if I was willing to wear a ring? I'm answering you now."
At his words, Lila glanced at him and guessed, "Not willing?"
"Why wouldn't I be willing?"
"If you wore one, a lot of girls who like you would be heartbroken."

Lila said "Oh," then asked, "So you are willing?"
