Chapter 130
Lila sat on Alexander's lap, nervously looking into his deep, mesmerizing eyes. For a moment, her heart was racing so fast it felt like it was about to jump out of her throat. "What's the most basic thing?"
He didn't say anything, but his left hand lifted up and gently touched her face. His slightly calloused fingertips caressed her right cheek in a dangerous yet lingering way.
Lila could clearly feel the warm touch of his fingertips. She stared at him in a daze, forgetting to speak.
Alexander lowered his head, moving closer to her bit by bit.
Even if she was slow, she knew what he was about to do. Without thinking, she raised her hand and grabbed his large palm, trying to push it away.
But Alexander easily caught her hand instead. His deep, magnetic voice carried a hint of tempting persuasion, "Mrs. Sinclair, some things you can avoid for now, but you can't avoid them forever. If you behave, the process might even be quite pleasant, don't you think?"
"But last time we agreed to build feelings first, and only do that kind of thing after I've fallen for you."
"Did we agree on that? As I recall, I changed my mind that very night, and didn't you hit me with a wireless charger? What, does Mrs. Sinclair only remember the first part and completely forget what happened after?"
Lila had nothing to say.
Alexander's lips curved slightly as he continued what he was doing.
Lila watched him inch closer, biting her teeth hard. Finally, just a second before Alexander's thin lips were about to touch her mouth, she suddenly turned her head away.
His lips landed on her cheek instead.
At the same time, Lila's resistant expression fell into Alexander's eyes.
He immediately frowned, and when he spoke again, his restrained voice carried anger, "Lila, am I really that disgusting to you?"
"It's you who doesn't like me at all. You just want to have a child with me," she dared to argue back.
But Alexander said, "Aren't I trying to like you?"
Lila turned back, looking into his deep blue eyes, her face full of confusion, "Where exactly are you trying?"
Alexander stared at her with deep eyes and said in a low voice, "Don't you know that men can fall in love through physical intimacy? If you won't let me touch you, how can I develop feelings?"
"But I think liking someone shouldn't be so shallow as to just stay at the physical level."
"Then why don't you show me your interesting soul?"
She lowered her innocent eyes, "I need time."
Alexander's scoffing voice came from above her head, "How long do you need? One month, or two months? Don't forget, our marriage contract is only for one year."
"Do you have to push me like this?"
"Push you?"
Alexander laughed coldly, his tone getting heavier, "Lila, this is your duty."
Lila bit her teeth, unconsciously clenching her hands. After a brief mental preparation, she suddenly looked up and took the initiative to kiss his lips, raising her hands to wrap around Alexander's neck.
Alexander's first reaction to being forcefully kissed was shock.
But when he saw her extremely resistant frown, an unknown fire from somewhere ignited the anger in his chest.
Was being intimate with him so painful for her to bear?
Alexander roughly pulled Lila off himself and pushed her aside. Suppressing his about-to-explode anger, he threw one word at her, "Get out."
"But didn't you—"
"I said get out."
Lila stood to the side, biting her lip, "Alexander, if you want to sleep with me, then do it. Why are you acting crazy after I've agreed? This is the last time I'll actively agree. There won't be a next time. Are you sure you don't want to?"
