CHAPTER 159
THIRD PERSON'S POV

The night after Kane's visit was sleepless. Elysia lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, her mind replaying the encounter over and over.

The coldness in Kane's eyes, the casual way he had threatened her family, the arrogance of his offer, it all burned in her memory like a brand.

Kieran had stayed awake with her, his presence a steady anchor in the storm. He had made calls to security, arranged for additional protection, and held her when the fear became too much.

But even his reassuring presence couldn't erase the chill that had settled in her bones.

"You need to rest." He said softly, his hand stroking her hair. "Tomorrow is another day in court. You can't afford to be exhausted."

"I can't sleep!" She admitted. "Every time I close my eyes, I see his face. I hear his voice. I think about what he said about Hope, about my parents."

"I know. But we're going to be ready. We're not going to let him win."

She turned to look at him, her eyes filled with a fierce determination. "I know. But I need to do something. I need to fight back."

"Then we'll fight back. Together."

The hours passed, but sleep remained elusive. Elysia tossed and turned, her mind racing with worries.

What if Kane made good on his threats? What if he hurt Hope? What if he hurt her parents? The thoughts circled endlessly, feeding her anxiety.

Kieran watched her struggle, his heart aching. He had never seen her like this, so consumed by fear, so unable to find peace.

He knew she was strong, stronger than anyone he had ever met. But even the strongest needed to let go sometimes.

He reached for her, his hand gentle on her shoulder. "Elysia. Look at me."

She turned to face him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I'm sorry. I can't stop thinking about it. About what he said."

"I know. But you're not alone in this. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."

He pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her. She buried her face in his chest, her body trembling with the effort of holding back her fear. He held her, his hand stroking her hair, his voice a low murmur of reassurance.

"I need you to let go, Elysia. Just for a little while. Let me help you forget."

She looked up at him, her eyes searching his. "How?"

He didn't answer with words. He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a gentle, tender kiss.

It was soft at first, a whisper of touch, a question rather than a demand. She hesitated, then kissed him back, her fingers curling into his shirt.

He deepened the kiss, his hand cradling the back of her head, his thumb tracing gentle circles on her cheek. She melted into him, the tension in her body slowly easing.

"I love you." He murmured against her lips. "And I'm going to take care of you. Let me take care of you."

She nodded, her eyes fluttering closed. "Please."

He laid her back against the pillows, his body covering hers, his lips never leaving her skin. The moonlight streamed through the window, casting silver shadows across the room.

He kissed her forehead, her cheeks, the tip of her nose. He kissed the curve of her neck, the hollow of her throat, the spot just behind her ear that made her shiver.

His hands roamed her body, tracing the lines of her shoulders, the curve of her hips, the softness of her thighs.

She sighed, her fingers tangling in his hair. "Kieran..."

"Shh…" He whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "Just feel. Let yourself feel."

He continued his gentle exploration, his touch slow and deliberate. He kissed the inside of her wrist, the palm of her hand, the sensitive skin of her inner arm. He worshipped every inch of her, his devotion a balm to her frayed nerves.

She felt the tension begin to melt away, replaced by a warmth that spread through her body. The fear, the worry, the endless circling thoughts, they faded into the background, dimmed by the intensity of his focus.

He drew back, his eyes meeting hers. "I love you, Elysia. And I'm going to make you forget everything. At least for tonight."

She smiled, a genuine smile that reached her eyes. "I love you too. And I trust you. Completely.”

He took her then, slowly, gently, with a tenderness that left her breathless. His movements were unhurried, each touch a promise, each kiss a reassurance.

He held her as if she were the most precious thing in the world, and in that moment, she felt like she was.

Their bodies moved together in a rhythm as old as time, a dance of love and trust and surrender. He whispered words of love against her skin, his voice a low murmur of devotion.

She clung to him, her fingers digging into his shoulders, her breath coming in soft gasps.

The world outside ceased to exist. There was only him, only her, only the warmth of their bodies intertwined. The threats, the fear, the weight of the trial, they all fell away, replaced by the simple, profound connection between them.

When it was over, they lay together, their bodies intertwined, their breathing slow and even. He held her close, his lips pressed against her forehead.

"Better?" He asked, his voice soft.

She nodded, her eyes still closed. "Yes. Thank you."

"Always."

She nestled against him, her head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. The fear was still there, lurking in the shadows of her mind. But it was quieter now, dimmed by the warmth of his love.

For the first time in what felt like days, she felt at peace.

The next early morning, Elysia woke to the soft light of dawn filtering through the curtains. She was in Kieran's arms, her body warm and relaxed. She turned to look at him, his face peaceful in sleep, his features softened by the morning light.

She reached out, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. He stirred, his eyes fluttering open, a slow smile spreading across his face.

"Good morning." He murmured, his voice thick with sleep.

"Good morning." She leaned in, pressing a kiss to his lips. "Thank you. For last night. For everything."

"Always." He pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her.n "Whatever you need, I'm here."

She smiled, her heart full. "I know. And I love you."

"I love you too. Now sleep some more, it is still too early.” He murmured softly, hugging her tightly and kissed her forehead.

They fall asleep after sometime, hugging each other and savoring the early morning love and peace.
