....your daughter alone in the house with your white boy?
....your daughter alone in the house with your white boy?
Dominic woke up to the soft sound of the bedroom door clicking shut. He looked over at the door, then glanced at the spot where Aria had been. The girl looked pathetic earlier, standing there all nervous. No wonder. After what she did, making him stand there hard with no way to finish, then just walking off like nothing happened. Leaving him hanging when he literally asked her to take care of it.
He sat up in bed, then swung his legs off the mattress and headed for the bathroom. He needed to take care of this tension himself this morning, thanks to her.
He slammed the bathroom door shut. Turned on the shower. Grabbed the soap. Yeah. You know what he was doing in there.
Fifteen minutes later, he was done. He did not like staying in that small room longer than he had to. Never been a fan of tight spaces. Even baths, he barely took them.
Once he was clean and dressed, he grabbed his phone and tried calling Helena. She was probably not even in Bali yet. He did a video call, but it did not even ring. She must be on the plane already, he thought.
He put the phone down on the bed and walked out of the room. Heading to the kitchen, he rubbed his stomach. Hungry. When he got there, his eyes met Aria's.
He kept his face calm. Like nothing happened. Aria, though. She looked shocked to see him there.
Dominic understood exactly why she looked like that. And he did not want to make her more uncomfortable than she already was.
"What are you doing?" he asked, giving her a nice smile.
"Morning. Drinking," she said, nervous. Stumbling over her words.
"You okay? You sick?" He faked some concern.
He already knew exactly why she was acting so awkward.
"What? I am fine." She shook her head hard. "I am fine."
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked. "Your mom told me to make sure you eat. I do not want my future wife coming home mad because her kid lost weight." He walked to the fridge as he talked.
Aria did not answer. Not even when he pulled out a bottle of orange juice and closed the fridge door.
"Why are you not answering? Are you really sick?" he asked again.
Instead of answering, she just stood there, frozen, staring at nothing.
Dominic walked over and smacked her shoulder lightly. She jumped.
"What?" she said fast.
"Do not zone out first thing in the morning. You might get possessed or something." He grinned, teasing her, then walked to the sofa in the TV room, leaving her there looking stupid.
She stood there confused about why she was even nervous. Because here is the thing. Dominic did not know she heard him moaning her mom's name in his sleep last night. He did not know she heard him having a wet dream about Helena.
So why was she panicking? She should not be panicking. If she acted weird, he would get suspicious. And she did not want him thinking she was some pervy girl. She was just curious, okay? Her curiosity was just completely insane.
Somewhere else, at that same time, Helena sat on the plane with her friend Tika. Tika worked as her IT manager at the company. She was good with software, and Helena liked having her around.
Helena was reading a magazine when Tika tapped her arm.
"You sure it is smart leaving your daughter alone in the house with your white boy?" Tika asked.
Helena frowned. "What do you mean?" she asked, confused.
"You do not suspect anything with him?" Tika said.
"What are you trying to say?" Helena still did not get it.
"I am saying, your man is single. Your daughter is a virgin. You do not think they might end up doing something alone in your house?" Hearing that, Helena got annoyed.
"What are you implying? That Aria would try to steal my fiance? Oh no. Listen, Tika. Dominic is my future husband. That means he will be her father. Do not be weird."
"I am not accusing your kid. I am just saying. She is pretty. She is young. And that white guy is not bad looking. Girls go for guys like that. So..."
"So what? Because Dominic is hot, my daughter would just take him from me? Are you insane? What kind of thinking is that?" Helena was getting really angry now.
Tika clicked her tongue, annoyed.
"Come on, Helena. You are so sensitive. I am being serious and you get mad at me. It is normal to be suspicious…"
"Hello. Kids these days see a white guy and they go crazy. I am not trying to scare you. I just want you to be careful."
"Careful of what? My daughter is not like that, Tika."
"Fine. If you think everything will be fine. But you should know, and this is a fact, kids now do not care about losing their virginity. Look at Adira. Remember how proud she was showing off her white guy to us? And we all knew that guy was Ririn's boyfriend that she stole. And you know what she bragged about? She said his dick was amazing. She was not even embarrassed telling us that. People want white guys because they are supposedly bigger.."
"Your own daughter could be thinking the same thing." Tika went on and on. She did not hold back at all.
Helena did not respond. She tried to ignore it. She was sure Aria was not like that.
And Dominic. She trusted him. She believed he would protect Aria like his own daughter, even though he had never been married and never had kids before.
"Whatever. Believe what you want. I am just warning you." After making Helena completely stressed out, Tika closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Helena, though. She could not rest at all. Not even for a second. Her brain kept replaying everything Tika said.
No way Dominic would do that. And Aria was not that kind of girl. She was polite. She would not be interested in things like that. Not now at least.
But for some reason, her head was spinning. All she wanted now was for this plane to land in Bali so she could call Dominic immediately.
Was she suspicious? If not, why did she want the plane to hurry up so she could check on him and Aria?
Did she not trust her own fiance? Did she think her own daughter would do something that crazy?
God, Helena. You can not be like this. You have to trust your man. You have to trust your daughter. They will not do anything wrong, she told herself, trying to calm down.
She took a breath and forced herself to focus on the magazine again. Everything would be fine.
"Why do you have to be with mom? You have never been married before, so why look for a widow? There are so many single girls out there..."
"Like you?"
Her heart stopped.
