Chapter 44 Go, Gerald!
Kelsey was absentmindedly walking down the street holding Aiden's tiny hand. The woman also invited Aiden to sit at the bus stop without knowing the bus was coming.
Little Aiden didn't dare to ask, he only guessed that his mother and Gerald's parents had had a fight. Aiden could even just wipe the tears that fell down his mother's cheeks without asking much.
The little boy, who would be five years old in two days, looked at his mother's face, which was starting to look pale. Dan was even more shocked when he saw his mother's body collapse and fall to the floor. Kelsey was unconscious.
Aiden screamed, "Mom. Mommy, what's wrong? Mom, wake up, Mom. Mom." Aiden looked in all directions and no one happened to be passing by.
Aiden immediately wailed while still trying to wake up his mother.
"Why won't you wake up? Mom, wake up. Aiden is scared, Mom," Aiden said sobbing.
Suddenly, he remembered about Uncle Weylin's message and immediately took the initiative to make a call to Weylin.
Only on the third ringing tone, the phone was immediately picked up, "Aiden, son. What is it? Is there a problem?"
"Dad. Mom, Dad. Mom is fainted," Aiden said in a trembling voice.
Weylin froze in place. 'Dad?'
His son just called him 'Dad'? Was he hallucinating? Weylin was silent for a moment until he again heard Aiden speak,
“Dad. Why are you silent?"
A drop of clear water immediately fell from Weylin's eyes. "Y-yes, I will be there soon. Don't turn off the phone, honey. I am leaving now."
Weylin quickly grabbed his car keys and ignored Darren's calls screaming at him. Weylin drove at a fairly fast speed towards where Kelsey and his son were. It was fortunate that Weylin had GPS installed on the cell phone he had given to
his son.
"Aiden, honey. Do you hear me, son?"
"Yes, Dad," Aiden said still with a sob that made Weylin's heart ache.
"Don't be afraid, honey. Mom is fine, I will be there soon. Don't talk to strangers, Aiden, OK?" Weylin said with extreme anxiety.
"Yes, Dad. I wait," Aiden said obediently.
About five minutes later, Weylin arrived at the scene and immediately carried Kelsey into his car.
"Aiden sits in the front huh?" Weylin said softly.
Little Aiden obeyed. Weylin chose the nearest hospital from there. While waiting for Kelsey to be examined, Weylin also contacted Adriana Lieven to update Kelsey's condition. Aiden never left his hands.
"Dad, Mom, are you okay?" he asked.
Weylin suddenly picked up his son and hugged him tightly, Aiden's small arms wrapped around Weylin's neck.
"Mom is okay, honey. Let's wait for the doctor, okay?" Weylin said.
And before long, Aiden fell asleep in Weylin's arms.
"Did you say that already?" Weylin asked once Kelsey had regained consciousness.
"What did you say?" Kelsey asked back.
Weylin furrowed his brows in confusion but he didn't dare to move since Aiden was still sleeping in his lap right now.
"Telling Aiden about me," Weylin said.
Even Kelsey was shocked.
"I haven't said it, Weylin."
Weylin's eyes widened, "Are you sure? Then how did he know? He already called me 'Dad', Kels."
Kelsey frowned in surprise, Weylin looked radiant as if a beam of light was shining in his eyes.
"I haven't said it yet. Well, Aiden is a smart kid. So maybe he guessed it himself. But I know he can accept you," Kelsey explained without looking at Weylin.
She couldn't stand the sight of Weylin who was currently looking strange in Kelsey's eyes.
"Yes, he accepted me. I-"
Weylin's words were cut off when someone barged in, "Kels, I'm sorry. I didn't know if my parents-"
"Forgive Aunt, Kels. Auntie already tried to prevent it," Adriana said looking regretful.
"It's okay, Aunt," Kelsey said without looking at the Gerald How Adriana meant.
Weylin interrupted "Kels, may I take Aiden back to my apartment first?"
"Yeah, of course," Kelsey said without a moment's hesitation.
"Okay, let's talk," Weylin said, who still refrained from interfering with Kelsey's personal life.
Weylin carried Aiden and left the hospital.
"We broke up, Gerald. Go, Gerald!" Kelsey said calmly.
