Chapter 25 A Bad Fate
Kelsey Lieven was silent all the way to her house with her mind wandering everywhere. She was very afraid that Weylin suspected her.
She wouldn't be able to bear it if Weylin found out and instead took her child. She would never let that happen.
Aiden Lieven didn't dare to ask his mother about his mother's brush which he thought was very strange. The little boy chose to stay silent and ends up sleeping in his car. Kelsey's life was not too luxurious but not too miserable either.
She could still buy a car at a fairly friendly price. She was determined to buy the car too for the sake of her beloved Son.
Moreover, she was self-aware that Gerald's working hours and also the hours her son went to school were slightly different.
So, to stop making Gerald sacrificed again, Kelsey bought a car a month after Aiden started school.
When Kelsey arrived at her residence which was located in a housing complex that she had shared with her aunt since she set foot in Leeds, she immediately turned towards the chair beside her.
"Aiden," she called.
The Boy didn't answer and when she turned Aiden's face to the opposite direction, she noticed the little boy had fallen asleep. Kelsey felt guilty because after leaving the supermarket, she didn't even talk to Aiden.
She was sure that her son was bored and eventually fell asleep. Kelsey immediately picked her up and ran into her aunt who had just come out of the kitchen.
"He fell asleep?" she asked.
"Yes, Auntie," Kelsey replied.
"Let me carry you. You clean yourself first and then go to the dining room, okay? We'll eat," said Adriana, taking Aiden from Kelsey's arms.
"Thank you, Auntie," Kelsey said sincerely.
Adriana just shook her head slowly, "Stop saying thank you. Aren't you bored? You're already taking a shower. Auntie is hungry."
Kelsey nodded in emotion. That's Adriana Lieven, who Kelsey always considers as her guardian angel. Only Adriana understood her. And only to Adriana did Kelsey tell anything about anything.
After she finished cleaning herself, she went straight to the kitchen and joined her Aunt in the middle of preparing their dinner. The house they lived in was not too big but not too small either.
However, for Kelsey the house was very comfortable. Kelsey felt comfortable living there, especially Adriana, who never allowed herself to be lonely.
Maybe this could be said if both, Adriana and Kelsey seem to have found similarities between their stories and finally strengthen each other. Until Kelsey slowly got up and considered her past as past.
"What happened?" she asked.
"What do you mean Aunt?" Kelsey asked back.
Adriana stopped her eating action and replied, "Kels, you seem to be daydreaming. Just tell me, what's bothering you?"
Kelsey took a deep breath. I don't think I can hide anything from Aunty."
Adriana smiled, "Of course. So what? About Gerald? He proposed to you again?"
Kelsey chuckled, "When it comes to Gerald, I won't be bothered, Auntie. It's about ...."
"What?" Adriana asked curiously.
"Aiden's father," Kelsey said.
Adriana's eyes widened, "Aiden's father? That Malachy? What's up with that jerk?"
Kelsey bit her lip, "I saw him here. In Leeds earlier at the supermarket."
Adriana was even more surprised, "What is he doing here? Does he know you're here? Then Aiden? How about Aiden? He doesn't know Aiden is his son, does he?”
Kelsey shook her head, “I don't know what he's doing here. Yes, he recognized me. And unfortunately, he even had a chance to meet Aiden. They had a chat, Ms. Auntie, my heart almost stopped when I found out he was there. Look at me and Aiden. I'm scared, Auntie."
Kelsey could no longer hide her anxiety. In front of her Aunt, she could spill everything without covering it up. Adriana was still silent because she was too shocked.
"How is this, Auntie?" Kelsey asked desperately.
Adriana immediately replied, "Take it easy, Kels. Not sure you will meet again. Leeds is not a small town. After all, it's not certain that Weylin has been here long, right? He is the CEO of Malachy Hotel, his responsibility there. Not here. Surely
he's just having an event here."
Kelsey also hoped so but her heart still couldn't calm down.
Adriana continued, "About Aiden. He's an idiot, there's no way he'd know right away if Aiden was his son. He just can't recognize you who have spent the night with him. How could he know you had a child with him?"
At this Kelsey immediately disagreed, "Auntie. He did that to me when I was in the hospital, Bi. Aunt forgot? And he knew perfectly well then that he had no security."
Kelsey hated remembering that horrific incident, but the facts about it couldn't be ignored. The possibility that Weylin would suspect it was quite high.
"Uh, yes. Yes However, I'm sure he won't think that way because he's too stupid. Never mind, don't think about it anymore, it's better for you to just focus on your relationship with Gerald," Adriana said, who did agree with Kelsey and Gerald's relationship.
The next morning, It was reported at Ans Bank that Rowen Grace would step down from her position as CEO and would be replaced by the son of the original owner of the largest private bank in Leeds.
"Kels, come on!" Angel asked.
"Let's go where?" Kelsey asked confusedly still concentrating on her computer screen.
Selena now closed the monitor screen and successfully annoyed Kelsey, "What the hell?"
"What's wrong with you, Kels? Didn't you hear that you were ordered to join us upstairs? Mr. Grace will introduce a replacement," Selena said angrily.
Kelsey scowled in annoyance, "Should we go there? At least they wouldn't notice if we weren't there either."
Angel said, "Of course I do. Hey I want to see the new CEO anyway. Deena said he was young."
To be honest, Kelsey really didn't care whether the CEO was young or old. However, without being able to rebel, Kelsey had already been dragged up to the top floor and unfortunately it was full of people.
Apparently everyone was so very curious about the new CEO. Selena managed to get them to move forward and Kelsey finally got a shock that almost knocked her to her feet.
Even her ears couldn't catch Rowen's voice.
Kelsey's ears could only catch Rowen's final words, "Weylin Malachy."
With about ten meters, Weylin stepped forward and Kelsey who had regained consciousness turned around but unluckily she slipped the ballpoint pen and fell to the floor.
Everyone immediately turned to Kelsey.
Shit! Kelsey cursed inside.
"Kels, are you okay?" Angel asked anxiously.
Weylin, who had seen Kelsey's face, smiled crookedly. He then walked over, holding out his hand to help Kelsey up.
Kelsey turned her head and her face immediately went pale with shock.
Selena and Angel even stared in disbelief that the handsome CEO intended to help them. Both of them couldn't help but smile.
"Let me help you up!" Weylin said, his hands still faithfully waiting for Kelsey's welcome.
