Chapter 23 Toy Store 2
Kelsey suddenly made a worried face, Aiden quickly added, "Only in this store, Mom. I'll be bored if I wait in line for Mom."
Kelsey clicked her tongue, "ou want the toys and you say you're tired of waiting for Mama to pay for them?"
Aiden giggled with his innocent face. Kelsey could only sigh, "Okay, Young Master. You can wait by the shelf over there. Don't come out of this store, okay?"
Aiden smiled broadly, "Ready, Mommy."
The little boy less than five years old was running around looking at the other types of toys. Kelsey could only shake her head and started to turn towards the long line.
There, Aiden was surprised to see a grown man who looked confused in the girls' toy section not far from him. Aiden shrugged his shoulders indicating he didn't
want to care and instead looked at some toys without intending to buy them.
He knew his promise to his mother so he did too. just having a look.
After five minutes had passed, he was starting to get bored and when he glanced at the girls' play area, the grown man he saw earlier was still standing there.
Reluctantly, Aiden walked over to him.
"What are you looking for?" Aiden asked casually.
Weylin turned his head and then lowered his head.
"You're talking to me?" Weylin asked back.
Aiden shoved his hands into his trouser pockets.
"There's really someone other than Uncle here?" Aiden said staring in surprise at the adult who he thought was strange.
Weylin felt stupid, indeed he was the only one here with that little brat.
"Yeah, you're right," Weylin said nodding.
"Of course I'm right," Aiden said.
Weylin suddenly chuckled, “Okay, okay, I understand.”
"So what are you looking for? You look confused," Aiden said calmly.
Weylin stared at the little boy in front of him, hesitating whether he should ask or not.
"Do you look for a present? For your child?" Aiden guessed.
Weylin was surprised, "Yes, but not for my child. For my friend's grandson."
"Uh, no wonder you are confused," the boy muttered the.
Weylin was amazed by the attitude of the child in front of him so he then tried asking, "Do you have any suggestions for me?"
"I'll try," Aiden replied.
Weylin smiled when he saw Aiden walked over to the girls toys shelf and took out a doll as well as a cooking set.
"Give this, Uncle!" Aiden said.
Weylin saw Aiden's choice and accepted it.
"Yesterday one of my friends liked it when my mom gave it as a birthday present. The cooking toy is said to be a hit," Aiden explained.
Weylin nodded, "Okay, I will choose this. Thank you."
"You're welcome," Aiden answered with a blush, maybe because of embarrassment.
"Oh yeah, may I know your name?" Weylin asked.
"Aiden," Aiden answered happily.
"Weylin. My name. And are you here alone? Where are your parents?" Weylin asked, just realized he should have asked that earlier.
He was afraid that Aiden was lost or something.
"Mom is still in line at the cashier," Aiden answered and he pointed towards the cashier but his mother was gone.
He was surprised when suddenly he heard his mother shout, "Aiden. Aiden. Where are you?"
Weylin turned his body and immediately froze in place when he saw his ex-fiancee standing not far from him. His eyes looked at Kelsey with a questioning look.
Meanwhile, Kelsey herself had not looked at him.
Aiden turned his head and saw his mother who was already glaring at him fiercely. Little Aiden immediately ran to his mother and said, "Sorry, Mom. I was just there to help Uncle find a present."
Kelsey suddenly grumbled, "Gosh, I told you not to talk to strangers. Did you forget? What if that person has bad intentions for you? What if you were kidnapped?"
Aiden immediately looked down, realizing that he was wrong.
"Sorry, Mom. I know I was wrong, I promise I won't do it again."
Kelsey sighed and then immediately took her son's hand, "Okay, now where is the person you were talking to earlier, Aiden?"
Aiden pointed and when Kelsey turned her gaze met Weylin who was looking at her in confusion. The two of them fell silent, unable to speak.
