Chapter 15 A Big Mistake
Kelsey forced a smile when she heard that from Ansgar Malachy but didn't say anything.
To be honest she really wanted to refuse but she realized that it was impossible considering Ansgar's weak condition so she reluctantly agreed.
For now, making her future father-in-law's condition better was far more important than thinking about her troubled heart. If she could, she might have called off the engagement from the start.
However, when she saw her parents as well as her two future future in-laws who were so happy with her wedding plans, she couldn't bear to refuse.
"Kelsey, you don't mind speeding up the wedding, do you?" Zuria asked softly.
The woman fixed Kelsey's slightly messy hair and looked at her gently. Seeing the woman's concern that was like her mother's, Kelsey finally replied, "Of course not, Mom. If that's for the best, I'll go with it."
Ansgar smiled relieved hearing that, "Good girl."
Andre and Leana smiled at each other happily as their daughter agreed. While Weylin who was listening to that cursed inside. The man was beyond pissed off.
How could she agree to it? Was she stupid or was she doing it on purpose? Weylin thought.
The man still didn't accept that he had been slapped by Kelsey because he felt that the girl had no right to slap him.
He was the one who should be angry but strangely it was the girl who was offended. Weylin couldn't stop thinking about the strange girl's way of thinking.
"What happened to you?" Keiran asked his brother.
"Nothing. Why is that?" Weylin asked back.
Keiran shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know. I just have a feeling you're going to do something stupid."
Weylin turned his head in exasperation, “What do you mean?”
Keiran patted his brother on the back, "Oh come on, Bro. I know you don't like Kelsey but please don't overdo it."
Weylin couldn't accept being recklessly accused by his own sister so he said, “How overreacting? I only just met her again today.”
"I mean later. After this. Don't let you do stupid things that you will regret later," Keiran said.
Weylin only muttered incoherently. Keiran entered his father's inpatient room and at that time Kelsey came out of there.
Nimbly, Weylin grabbed Kelsey and pushed her into an empty room.
"What do you want?" Kelsey asked angrily.
"I have to ask you. What do you want? Didn't I say it clearly earlier in the parking area. I will never marry you. Never, why did you even agree to our parents' request?" Weylin asked as he was no less angry than Kelsey.
Kelsey glared at the man, "You think I have other options? Use your brain, Weylin Malachy. If I refuse, what do you think will happen to your father? Aren't you worried that your father will have another heart attack?"
Weylin was silent for a few seconds but apparently the man was still stubborn.
"You're only using my father's health to make it look like you're helping my family, right, Miss Lieven? You think I don't know that your true intention is to win over my parents? You sneaky one. Are you not aware of your position? Ordinary people who expect to marry into a prominent family like us. You .…”
Again, Kelsey slapped Weylin again. Weylin turned his head in annoyance at the woman who had dared to slap him three times.
If the person in front of him had been a man, he would have engaged him in a duel. Kelsey stared at her in extreme anger,
“I didn't expect that a man from a distinguished family and also the CEO of a famous hotel could think like this. Can you really only think negatively, Mr. Malachy?"
"And you Miss Lieven, do people from your class always solve problems with violence?" Weylin replied fiercely.
Kelsey, who was provoked, finally threw her hand back but was repelled by Weylin. The man then locked the woman's hands so that she could not move.
"Let me go!" Kelsey said.
"No," Weylin replied, still holding Kelsey's wrist.
"Get off me, dammit!" Kelsey cursed, glaring at Weylin.
Kelsey did not accept being treated with such disrespect.
"Let go, BASTARDS!" Kelsey said again.
Weylin's ears immediately itched at the sound. He said, "I won't let go as long as you comply with their ridiculous demands."
"Don't be childish, Weylin!" Kelsey said annoyed.
"Childish you say? I just don't want to be arranged about my marriage and you say this is childish? Are you out of your mind?" Weylin said flatly.
“You're out of your mind, Weylin. You're selfish, you only think about yourself. What kind of child are you?" said Kelsey who couldn't stop herself from slapping her fiancé.
"Don't pretend to know, Kelsey. You don't know anything so don't try to judge me, you have no right," Weylin said.
Kelsey felt her pride hurt, "And do you have the right to accuse me of wanting to have your property? What do you know about me?"
Weylin sneered, "Of course I know, you're no different from those women out there who are willing to do anything to ensnare rich men."
Kelsey's body suddenly trembled hearing that, she was too angry, "You're too much, Weylin. You bastard.”
Weylin stiffened, “Me? Bastard? All right, I'll show you how your fiancé is acting as a scoundrel, Miss Lieven."
Kelsey even saw Weylin grin disdainfully at Kelsey. The man whispered in a breathless voice, "Uh, am I right? You're not even a virgin anymore."
Weylin stared at Kelsey's scarred face while Weylin still pushed himself deeper and deeper. Kelsey felt she couldn't take it anymore so with all her might she pushed the man so that Weylin fell backwards. Weylin was taken aback but still kept his cold face.
"You are the most accursed human I have ever known, Weylin Malachy. I was hoping you would get a more grievous payback than this. You bastard, Weylin."
The girl adjusted her clothes and then limped out of the room without looking at Weylin again.
As the girl exited the room, Weylin cursed, "Damn it. What have I done?"
