Chapter 219
Chapter 219
Matthew walked over and stood in front of her.
She looked up at him. Matthew had driven here.
"What do you want?" Sophie's neck was getting tired from looking up. "Is there anything else you haven't taken from my place?"
Matthew suddenly bent down, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her up.
It was too fast. Sophie felt dizzy and stumbled into his arms, pressing against his chest.
She quickly steadied herself and kept her distance from him. She tried to move her wrist, but he was gripping it tightly, pulling her toward his car.
"Matthew, where are you taking me?" Sophie stumbled as he dragged her along.
He opened the car door and pushed her inside.
Sophie tried to get out, but Matthew pulled the seatbelt over and fastened it for her. He pressed down on her shoulder, his eyes as deep as the ocean—calm on the surface but hiding turbulent currents underneath. "Don't move."
They were too close. His breath brushed across her face.
Sophie's breathing became a bit tight and uneasy. "Where are you taking me?"
"To bed."
Before Sophie could react, he had already closed the door and gotten into the driver's seat.
By the time Sophie came to her senses, Matthew had already started the car.
Sophia's intoxication vanished entirely the moment the vehicle started to pull away.
"Matthew..."
"If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." He stared straight ahead.
Sophie took a deep breath and stopped talking, wanting to see where he would take her.
After about ten minutes, the car stopped, but he didn't get out.
After a while, two people came out of a jewelry store across the street. One was Victoria in a wheelchair, smiling at the person behind her.
A look of immense tenderness was visible in the eyes of the man as he guided Victoria's wheelchair. Even from the distance you could feel his affection for Victoria.
Sophie raised her eyebrows slightly and couldn't help but look at Matthew.
What did he mean by bringing her here to see this?
"That's..."
"Her boyfriend." Matthew spoke up.
Sophie's mouth fell open in surprise.
Victoria had a boyfriend?
Matthew looked at Sophie. "So, what's the point of you insisting on divorcing me?"
Sophie understood what he meant.
He thought she wanted a divorce because of Victoria.
The man pushed Victoria to the side of the street, crossed the road, and finally disappeared.
"My wanting to divorce you isn't entirely because of Victoria."
"Then why?"
"Because there's no love between us." Sophie turned to face him, looking directly into his eyes. "Matthew, whether Victoria exists or not, we wouldn't last anyway."
Matthew took a deep breath. "You don't trust me."
"I don't even trust myself." Sophie gave a self-mocking smile. "You don't love me, I don't love you. We'll get divorced sooner or later anyway."
Matthew frowned.
Sophie said, "Just take me home."
"Victoria and I will never get married." Matthew drove, now calmer.
Actually, even if he did get married, she might not even go.
Of course, if he invited her, she'd still have to give them a gift.
Matthew said nothing.
The car drove back to the residential complex. He didn't stop by the roadside but drove into the underground parking garage.
Sophie didn't care. She could get out at the elevator entrance in a moment and wouldn't have to walk far. That was fine.
They passed the elevator entrance. Sophie told him to stop, but the car kept going forward, stopping in the corner farthest from the elevator. Sophie frowned. "What are you doing?"
Matthew sat there without moving.
After shooting him a sharp look, Sophia released her safety belt and attempted to force the vehicle's door open.
"Matthew!" Sophie turned her head. "Open the door!"
Matthew suddenly leaned over, reached out and pulled her toward him, and kissed her lips hard.
Sophie's eyes widened in disbelief. Her hands beat against his shoulders, and she opened her mouth to make him let her go.
As soon as her lips parted, before she could speak, it gave him an opportunity to go further.
His kiss was full of suppression and restraint, teasing her over and over, chasing her, entangling with her.
Trapped and without a way out, Sophie found herself backed into a corner. She steeled herself and bit down on his tongue.
Finally, he stopped.
The corners of Matthew's eyes were slightly red, his eyes full of Sophie's fierceness.
Sophie bit down and wouldn't let go. Matthew didn't move either. The two of them were at a standstill.
Sophie wanted to let go, but he didn't pull back. Instead, he intensified his attack again, sweeping through.
Sophie pushed him.
Matthew reclined the seat. He flipped over completely, pressing Sophie underneath him. Now Sophie had no chance to resist at all.
Sophie pinched Matthew's waist. Matthew was unmoved.
His hand covered Sophie's eyes. His kiss carried the taste of blood, with no intention of letting her go.
The car trembled slightly with their movements.
Sophie finally realized this wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing—it was completely premeditated.
She pinched whatever parts of his body she could reach, but his flesh was firm and solid without an ounce of excess fat. She couldn't get a grip.
Matthew's hand had already slipped into her clothes, lightly teasing. Her body responded, and her eyes became covered with a layer of touching, watery mist.
The kiss also became more lingering.
This time, Sophie let him go and allowed herself to sink into it.
If she couldn't escape, she might as well enjoy it.
In a dark corner of the cold parking garage, the black Maybach shook in the corner. No one paid attention as the temperature in that spot suddenly rose...
Sophie looked at the sleeping man beside her, her hand on her forehead, thinking back to last night's madness.
She didn't even know how they got back or how many times they had done it.
She was crazy.
She had gotten entangled with him again just like that.
She felt a bit disgusted with herself.
She moved her waist—it was very sore.
She lifted the covers to get up, but an arm pressed down on her waist and pushed her back down.
"You're awake, so let me go."
Matthew said nothing, just moved his body closer. His hot chest pressed against her back, their body temperatures merging. His heartbeat transmitted through her back, heavy and fast. His warm breath was right at her neck, his intention obvious.
Sophie grabbed his hand. "I have to go to work."
Matthew didn't believe her.
She hadn't set an alarm, which meant she didn't have to work.
"Matthew!" Sophie yelled at him.
The yell that came out was neither painful nor forceful. It didn't sound like scolding but rather carried a hint of coquettishness.
Matthew held her tightly in his arms. "I'm very tired."
"Serves you right."
Sophie pried his fingers open one by one, but he gripped her hand tightly.
"Matthew..."
Before she could finish speaking, her back was covered by warmth, followed by a tingling sensation with moisture from her spine to her lower back.
She swallowed, her tailbone lifting slightly from bottom to top. She bit her lip, adrenaline suddenly surging, her mind going completely blank.
Matthew didn't continue. He gently held her from behind, feeling her body's slight trembling. He was very satisfied.
Lightly biting her ear, he said, "You obviously like it..."
