Chapter 121

Chapter 121

The smile on Zander's face froze.

"Mr. Schmidt, Ms. Hayes is extremely important to my father. Please give me this chance, or if this gets back to my father, the consequences could be disastrous."

Cressida stood nearby, anxious and restless.

Finnegan clearly liked her, but unexpectedly, Zander had found some random woman from who knew where, actually trying to replace her position as the Schmidt family's daughter. What a foolish fantasy!

If this Ophelia didn't know her place and couldn't leave on her own, then she shouldn't blame her for being ruthless.

Cressida's lips curved up slightly as she stepped back into a second-floor room.

Ophelia noticed her little move but didn't do anything.

She frowned, watching the confrontation between Blake and Zander.

"Stop arguing. Blake, actually, I've been looking for my biological parents all along, but haven't had any news. Just let me go meet his father."

"Don't worry, meeting his father won't change our relationship."

Ophelia lowered her voice, and only then did Blake reluctantly agree.

He looked at Zander. "If Ophelia gets hurt even a little bit, I definitely won't let you off."

Zander promised earnestly. "Mr. Weston, rest assured, Ms. Hayes is the Schmidt family's precious daughter."

Cressida, coming down from upstairs, heard this and her face instantly twisted.

She was supposed to be the Schmidt family's precious daughter.

She couldn't believe that in just a short time, this Ophelia had stolen everything from her.

She looked at the poison in her palm, her lips curving into a slight smile.

Zander left the venue early with Ophelia, and Cressida followed. "Zander, I want to go back too. Take me with you."

Zander hesitated, but couldn't resist Cressida's pleading and could only sigh helplessly.

"Fine, come along, but don't cause trouble. And once father meets Ophelia, you'll have to step aside."

Cressida nodded. "Zander, don't worry, I'll definitely get along well with Ms. Hayes."

Half of Cressida's face was hidden in the shadows.

Ophelia frowned uncomfortably, which Zander noticed.

"Ophelia, don't worry. Cressida's presence won't affect your position in our hearts."

Ophelia pulled at the corner of her mouth. "Zander, you may think that way, but Cressida doesn't seem to."

Zander looked at Cressida, whose originally gloomy face instantly became shocked.

Cressida quickly shook her head. "No, how could that be? Zander, I'm the one who most hopes your real sister comes back."

Ophelia watched her performance and almost laughed.

Ophelia picked up the water in the car, noticed a strange smell, turned to look at Cressida, and asked, "What about this?"

Zander was confused. What did this mean?

He looked at Cressida and found her expression had changed.

He immediately sensed something was wrong. "Cressida, are you hiding something from me?"

Cressida instinctively leaned back. "Zander, I'm not..."

"Stop the car."

The driver didn't know what was happening, but still stopped.

Zander pulled Cressida out of the car. As Cressida struggled, a packet of powder fell out.

Zander crouched down and picked up the powder. "What is this?"

Cressida reached to grab it, but Zander dodged. "Tell me, what is this!"

Cressida's body trembled. Zander had never spoken to her like this, but everything changed after Ophelia appeared!

"Why are you yelling at me! This Ophelia is nothing yet!"

Hearing Cressida talk about Ophelia like that, Zander slapped her face. "You'd better watch yourself. Next time I hear you talk like that, I'll take your life."

Now Cressida was truly scared.

She dropped to her knees. "Zander, I know I was wrong. Please don't tell your dad about this. He will really kill me."

Zander hadn't known what was in the packet at first, but hearing Cressida say this, he immediately understood.

His eyes blazed. "Cressida, you really deserve to die."

He shook off Cressida's arm. "Stay here and reflect on what you've done!"

Hearing this, Cressida looked around. This was the middle of nowhere.

Zander was going to leave her here.

"Zander, you can't do this!"

Zander sneered, "Of course I can. I told you to reflect here. If you dare leave, I'll have the wolves tear you apart."

Cressida looked as if she'd seen something terrifying.

She trembled all over. "I understand, I understand."

Ophelia sat in the car, witnessing the whole thing, very curious.

Could Zander really have wolves?

Actually, Ophelia was quite sheltered. After all, everyone in the Schmidt family had their quirks.

For example, Zander's quirk was raising wolves.

Cressida had once accidentally witnessed Zander letting his wolves devour someone who betrayed the Schmidt family.

Since then, whenever Cressida approached Zander, she felt wolves watching her hungrily.

Now Cressida was crying and laughing, looking quite deranged.

"Let's go."

Ophelia looked up at Zander, whose face wore a gentle smile.

"What's wrong, Ophelia? Let's go back now. I'll take you to meet Dad."

Ophelia pushed down her doubts and nodded.

They returned to the Schmidt Villa. As soon as the car stopped, Ophelia saw about a hundred maids emerge from the enormous castle-like villa.

They lined up in two rows at the entrance, respectfully watching the approaching car.

"These are the villa's servants. Our Schmidt family came to Silver Bay because we got news of you. This is just a temporary residence. Later, you'll come back to Eldoria with us."

Ophelia was silent for a moment and replied, "I have no plans to leave Silver Bay for now."

Zander paused slightly, then smiled. "That's okay. After meeting Dad, I believe you'll change your mind."

After hearing this, Ophelia immediately got out of the car.

Zander was shocked and quickly walked in front of Ophelia. "What's wrong?"

Ophelia pulled at her lips. "I said, no matter what, I won't leave Silver Bay. Now you're not only taking me to meet your father, but also trying to persuade me to leave Silver Bay. I won't agree."

Zander hadn't expected Ophelia to be so firm. "Wait, I promise you, no matter what, you won't have to leave here."

Ophelia pulled at her lips. "Then let's go now."

The servants nearby all bowed their heads.

They were all confused about who this woman was.

How could she make Zander compromise like this?

Outside the villa, Ophelia was already shocked by the luxury of the Schmidt Villa.

But after entering, it was even more jaw-dropping.

"Please come in. Dad is in the study. I'll take you up in a moment."

Ophelia was about to nod when she suddenly caught sight of someone coming down the stairs.
