Chapter 107

Chapter 107

Zoey was about to reach out when Blake grabbed her wrist.

Before she could react, she was already thrown to the ground.

Zoey screamed.

She looked at Blake in shock. "Mr. Weston, what are you doing?"

Her friend had told her that the server who came out of the private room said Blake had drunk a lot.

But now, those eyes looking at her didn't seem drunk at all!

"Who gave you the nerve to mess with me?" Blake slowly raised his head and took a handkerchief to wipe his hands.

Then he threw the handkerchief on the ground.

Zoey's face turned pale, hidden in the dim environment. "Mr. Weston, I was just worried about you."

"Since when is it your place to worry about me?"

The rich kids watching the show exchanged knowing smiles.

But they couldn't help feeling amazed inside.

Who would have thought Blake's double standard could be this harsh.

"I bet if Ms. Hayes were here, Mr. Weston would have a completely different attitude."

"More than that! Mr. Weston would probably deliver himself to her door. You guys don't know? I heard last time Ms. Hayes slapped Mr. Weston in front of others, and Mr. Weston acted like nothing happened."

"No way?"

This really exceeded their understanding.

"Why not? Go ask around if you don't believe me."

Everyone looked like they were enjoying the drama. Someone nosy directly called Lucas.

"Lucas, Mr. Weston is drunk. Come pick him up quickly."

"Don't say I didn't warn you—Mr. Weston's in a weird mood right now, and that woman Zoey made him angry. You'd better find someone who can handle Mr. Weston's temper."

On the other end, Lucas looked at his phone helplessly.

He pulled off his eye mask.

Earlier, because of the Oak Haven Retreat contract, he had misunderstood Blake's meaning and intimidated Sidney.

This later caused Ophelia to misunderstand, and because of this, Blake punished him with an overseas business trip.

After separating from Blake, he flew abroad directly. He had barely gotten some rest when he still had to deal with domestic matters.

He sighed.

A thought flashed through his mind, and he called Ophelia. "Ms. Hayes, I'm sorry to disturb you so late."

On the other side, Ophelia put down her apple pie and answered the call.

Seeing Lucas's name flashing on the screen, she was quite curious.

Why would Lucas be calling?

"Go ahead," Ophelia replied.

"It's about Mr. Weston. The thing is, Mr. Weston seems to be in a bad mood, and I'm currently on a business trip abroad."

Ophelia immediately understood what he meant. "Just send me the address."

Lucas was overjoyed. "Okay, I'll send it to you shortly."

After getting the address, Ophelia drove straight to Starlight Bar.

Following the server's directions, she made her way to outside the private room.

"Ms. King, Mr. Weston's in a bad mood right now, don't be upset."

"Exactly, Ms. King."

Standing outside the door, Ophelia kept tightening her grip on her purse strap.

Zoey? Why would she be here?

Didn't Lucas say Blake was drunk and asked her to come pick him up?

"Ms. King, this won't do, Mr. Weston..."

The voices behind were too noisy; Ophelia couldn't hear clearly.

Just as she was about to lean in closer to hear what was being said inside, the door suddenly opened from within.

Ophelia stood at the doorway, making eye contact with the server—extremely awkward.

"Are you Ms. Hayes? Please come with me."

Ophelia hesitated for a moment, ready to just leave, but then thought bitterly—why should she leave?

So she walked straight into the private room.

Unexpectedly, after entering, she saw Zoey sitting close to Blake, looking very shy.

"Mr. Weston, what are you doing?"

Blake took a cherry from the plate, and fed it to Zoey himself.

Zoey looked intoxicated, wishing she could nestle against Blake right then and there.  "Mr. Weston, stop it."

After watching for a moment, Ophelia felt nauseous and turned to leave, but was blocked by Blake's friends. "Ms. Hayes, since you're here, why leave in such a hurry?"

Ophelia looked at him coldly. In that instant, he seemed to sense a quality in Ophelia similar to Blake's. "Move."

The person blocking her way stepped aside consciously, but unexpectedly Zoey walked over holding a bottle of red wine. "Ophelia, today is Mr. Weston's birthday. Don't you have anything to show for it?"

A cold smile curved Ophelia's lips as the image of Blake feeding Zoey the cherry flashed through her mind.

Her stomach seemed to churn continuously. "If you want to show something, go ahead. You don't need to ask my permission."

Zoey was furious. "What do you mean by that?"

"What you heard is exactly what I mean. Do I need to explain it for you?"

A flash of hatred crossed Zoey's eyes.

She turned and walked to Blake's side. "Mr. Weston, look how she treats me. My heart hurts so much."

A flash of impatience crossed Blake's face, but he still put his arm around Zoey. "Is that so?"

Blake's casual response made Zoey think he really cared about her feelings.

"Of course, Mr. Weston, you must stand up for me."

Blake stood up, took Zoey's bottle of wine, and walked toward Ophelia.

Ophelia stepped back.

Blake pressed forward. "Why are you hiding? Are you worried about what I'll do to you?"

Ophelia lowered her eyes. "Whatever you want to do, did you ask my opinion?"

"What a sharp tongue. Ophelia, you know what day it is today, and you have nothing to show for it?"

"What do you need me to show?"

Hearing this, Blake's expression immediately darkened.

He picked up the wine and gripped Ophelia's chin. "Is that so? Then have a drink with me?"

Only then did Ophelia notice that when Blake spoke, a strong smell of alcohol spread out.

She frowned uncomfortably. "Do I have the option to refuse?"

A mocking smile curved Blake's lips. "What do you think?"

The next moment, Blake raised the bottle and poured it directly into his own mouth, then lowered his head and kissed Ophelia's lips.

The red wine kept flowing from Blake's mouth into Ophelia's.

She widened her eyes, looking at Blake in disbelief.

Everyone around was stunned too. Zoey slowly stood up from the sofa, shocked.

What did Blake mean by this?

Hadn't he already started to hate Ophelia?

Why was he kissing her again?

Could it be... Zoey realized that Blake seemed to have been using her all along to make Ophelia angry.

Her hands hanging at her sides clenched tightly.

'Damn Ophelia, I'll make you pay!' Zoey cursed in her head.

After finishing a bottle of wine between them, Ophelia was already dizzy, yet Blake still had her pinned against the wall.

"Let me go!"

"Still sharp-tongued, weren't you enjoying it just now?"
