Chapter 184 I Am Pregnant

Chapter 184 I Am Pregnant

Cameron barely slept the whole night because of what Quinn said.

Back then, unable to accept the truth behind why Olivia was good to him, he hadn't looked carefully at the evidence Jennifer and Everett sent over.

After all, at that time, Cameron had forgotten his three years with Olivia, and his memory was still stuck before the accident.

Naturally, he was more inclined to side with Jennifer and Everett.

Now, after hearing what Quinn said, he decided to thoroughly investigate everything from back then again, to carefully sort through and piece together all the existing fragmented clues.

He needed to know the whole truth about what happened back then.

Especially the truth about why Olivia married him.

After resting at home for a few days, Olivia returned to work at the Foster Group. Jared had already arranged a business trip excuse for the days Olivia was absent.

But when Olivia came back, everyone stared at her.

Olivia didn't mind. She went straight to her desk, and when she made eye contact with Andy, she naturally greeted her, "Morning."

Andy was stunned for a moment. "I heard you went on a business trip? Where did you go?"

Others also looked over, seeming very curious about where Olivia went on her business trip. After all, Olivia hadn't been here long and had already been given important tasks multiple times.

It was hard not to make people think certain things.

Of course, these thoughts had existed for a while already.

Olivia smiled. "You'll find out later. Can't say right now."

"It's work hours now, better focus on work."

Everyone knew Olivia had a good relationship with Jared, so hearing her say this, they all quickly got back to work obediently, afraid of being remembered by Olivia and having her complain to Jared.

Because of Olivia's presence, basically everyone worked diligently during office hours and didn't dare slack off.

When lunch break came, Olivia went to the company cafeteria to eat.

Andy came over on her own. "Olivia, can I sit next to you?"

"Sure." Olivia's expression was calm. She knew quite a few people around were looking this way, as if seeing her for the first time, each face showing curiosity.

After Andy sat down, she ate a little food.

"Olivia, while you were gone these past few days, many people said you quit your job to go home and be a full-time housewife, and they also said you... were going to have a baby."

Olivia's movements paused.

Actually, she knew very well that the pregnancy couldn't be hidden for much longer.

Even wearing the loosest dresses, someone would definitely notice. At first they might not be sure, but gradually, they would definitely figure it out.

"It's not time yet."

"What?" Andy froze.

Olivia said unhurriedly, "I mean, I'm not even six months pregnant yet."

Andy's eyes widened.

After a long moment, Andy finally found her voice. "You, you're really pregnant?"

Olivia asked back, "Is there anything strange about that?"

Andy wanted to ask if Olivia was already married and if the partner was Jared, but before she could speak, Olivia had already stood up. "I'm done eating. Take your time."

After Olivia left, people around immediately gathered around.

"What exactly did she say to you? Why were you so shocked?"

"Yeah, what were you two talking about? Stop keeping us in suspense!"

Andy had only said that because she'd heard from others that pregnant women walk differently from normal people, but she didn't expect to actually be right.

But should she tell everyone about this?

After all, this was Olivia's privacy.

Seeing Andy stay silent, someone got impatient. "Andy, what's wrong with you? If you're going to talk, talk. Otherwise, don't say anything in the future."

Thinking about Olivia's relationship with Jared, Andy still chose to keep quiet.

Then she thought, if Olivia told her something like this, didn't that mean Olivia actually considered her a friend?

Thinking of this, Andy felt excited.

After all, Marigold had already lost and recently disappeared, no one knew what happened to her.

When work hours came, Olivia returned to her desk, only to see Andy bring her a drink, lowering her voice. "I checked, pregnant women can drink this too."

Olivia didn't understand Andy's flattery, but still accepted it.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

This wasn't anything special to Olivia, but Andy became even more convinced that Olivia considered her a friend, which meant she now had backing at the Foster Group.

If Olivia knew what Andy was thinking, she would definitely laugh out loud.

Especially after learning that Andy would do some things she shouldn't do under her name.

Of course, this was all for later. Currently, Andy was still testing Olivia's boundaries.

Olivia knew none of this. She worked properly at the company, and after work, she went to the supermarket with Sophie to buy ingredients to cook at home.

By coincidence, they ran into Cameron.

Seeing Cameron suddenly appear, Olivia frowned slightly, pretended not to see him, and continued selecting ingredients, discussing with Sophie from time to time.

At this moment, someone came over and deliberately rammed their shopping cart into Olivia's.

It was very intentional.

As if they had been targeting Olivia all along.

Fortunately, Olivia was standing on the other side, so even though this person deliberately rammed into Olivia's cart, it didn't cause her any harm.

Still, Olivia was startled.

Before Olivia and Sophie could get angry, Cameron stepped forward first. Cameron's expression turned stern as he stared at the child pushing the cart. "Apologize!"

"Where are your parents?"

Startled by Cameron, the child immediately sat on the ground and started crying loudly.

Those who didn't know would think Cameron, an adult, was bullying a child.

Passersby stopped to watch, but they first accused Cameron. "No matter what happened, as an adult, you shouldn't yell at a child like this."

"That's right, treating a child this way, I can tell you don't have kids of your own!"

"Someone like this doesn't deserve to have kids. His kids..."

"Shut up!" Olivia suddenly got angry. She glared at the people speaking and said coldly, "Do you know what happened? And you're here making so-called moral judgments? The fact is, this child was pushing the cart recklessly. Now that they didn't hit you, you can stand here talking nonsense. But what if this child had hit you? What if they hit a pregnant woman? Who would take responsibility for that!"

Perhaps not expecting such a gentle-looking woman like Olivia to fight back so forcefully, everyone present fell silent and didn't dare speak easily.

Cameron couldn't help but look at Olivia again.

He was surprised by Olivia's counterattack.

It was like getting to know Olivia better.

But more than that, he was excited and happy, because Olivia was angry for his sake!

If Olivia knew what Cameron was thinking, she would definitely laugh. She was angry because others were talking about her unborn child, just because Cameron was the child's father.
