Chapter 90 Suspicions

Chapter 90 Suspicions

Victoria noticed the hickey on Harrison's neck and cautiously asked, "Harrison, tell me honestly, do you have another woman in your life?"

Harrison had been lost in thought about Lily's condition when his mother's unexpected question caught him off guard, disrupting his usual composure.

"Mom, what do you mean by that?"

Victoria laughed awkwardly and waved her hand dismissively. "Nothing, I don't mean anything by it. I'm just... concerned about your marriage prospects."

Hearing this explanation, Harrison exhaled with relief.

"Mom, I'm an adult," he reassured her. "I can handle my own personal relationships, don't worry."

"Lily just had major surgery and is still recovering in the hospital. Once I get through this busy period, I'll seriously consider my marriage situation."

"You don't need to try and figure out if I have other women in my life. Rest assured, if I find someone I care about, I'll definitely bring her to meet you so you can see for yourself."

Victoria nodded, seemingly satisfied with his response.

"Alright then. You should spend some time getting to know Maeve. I really think she's a good match for you."

Victoria was once again promoting Maeve as a potential partner.

Harrison nodded. "I understand."

"By the way, Mom, Dr. Parker mentioned that Lily should be out of the ICU in the next few days. We need to prepare some soft, comfortable clothes for her. If you're free tomorrow, could you pick up a few items for her?"

Victoria nodded in agreement. "Of course, I'll go tomorrow. God bless my little Lily and help her recover quickly."

The next day, Elena enjoyed a rare opportunity to sleep in. Charlotte had left early with Connor and Mia to visit Pinewood City's largest shopping mall.

They headed straight for the children's clothing section, where Charlotte selected many fashionable outfits. She had an excellent eye for style, choosing the most trendy pieces currently available. When Mia tried them on, she looked like a perfect little doll, immediately showcasing how well the clothes fit her.

Victoria, who had come to buy clothes for Lily, arrived at the same store. She was describing Lily's height to a sales assistant, trying to find suitable clothes for her granddaughter. However, she couldn't remember Lily's exact size after not seeing her for some time.

Just then, Mia emerged from the fitting room, and the sales assistant had an idea.

"Ma'am, would your granddaughter be about the same height as that little girl?" the assistant asked, pointing toward Mia. "That child looks to be around four or five years old."

Following the assistant's gesture, Victoria spotted Mia wearing a comfortable white dress, standing in front of a mirror. For a moment, Victoria experienced a strange sensation—this little girl looked exactly like her Lily.

Victoria was about to approach Mia when Charlotte reached the child first.

She took Mia's hand and said gently, "Mia, this dress seems a bit small on you. Should we try another one?"

"Okay," Mia responded sweetly.

Charlotte affectionately patted Mia's head. "Good girl."

After praising Mia, Charlotte turned to urge Connor. "Connor, can you please hurry up? Mia has already chosen five outfits, and you haven't picked even one."

Connor grumbled with obvious reluctance. "Shopping for clothes is something girls enjoy. I'm not really into shopping for clothes. I told you the outfit I'm wearing now is fine, but you said it doesn't look good."

Connor's and Mia's intimate interactions with Charlotte convinced Victoria that she must be the mother of these two children.

Seeing that Charlotte was attractive and had a pleasant demeanor, Victoria immediately felt drawn to her. After all, a woman who raised such wonderful children couldn't be anything but exceptional.

After Charlotte finished shopping with the children and left the store, Victoria asked the sales assistant to bring her the dress Mia had just tried on.

"I think this dress would fit my granddaughter perfectly. I'll take it," she told the assistant.

"Of course, I'll wrap it up for you right away," the assistant replied.

As the assistant was preparing to package the dress, Victoria suddenly noticed one of Mia's hairs on the white fabric. She had been suspicious that those two children might be Harrison's secret children, though he had consistently denied this.

With this strand of hair, she could arrange for a DNA test. If these children weren't Harrison's, she would dismiss the whole thing as a beautiful misunderstanding. But if the DNA test proved they were Harrison's children, she, as their grandmother, would absolutely not allow Frost family children to be raised elsewhere.

Her mind made up, Victoria found a small plastic bag and carefully removed the hair from the dress, sealing it inside.

Over the next few days, Elena enjoyed some rare time off as she had no surgeries scheduled. Meanwhile, under Nathan's personal care, Lily was moved out of the ICU and into a regular hospital room.

To prevent any further complications with Lily's condition, Harrison dedicated most of his time to staying by her side. Thanks to his attentive care, Lily's post-operative recovery progressed well, though she still showed some signs of swelling.

During this period, Harrison had been too busy to answer Mandy's calls. Unwilling to lose her chance at becoming Mrs. Frost, Mandy came to Lily's hospital room, planning to use the child once again to strengthen her connection with Harrison.

The security guards Harrison had stationed outside immediately blocked her path.

"Ms. Reed, I'm sorry, but Mr. Frost has instructed that no one is allowed near Lily's room," one of the guards informed her.

This treatment was too much for Mandy, who was accustomed to throwing her weight around at the Frost residence.

She pointed at the security guard and began shouting. "How dare you block me! I am Lily's mother. I want to see my daughter. Move aside!"

When Mandy tried to push past the guards, they showed no special consideration for her gender. In the scuffle, they pushed her to the floor.

Mandy sat on the ground crying angrily just as Simon arrived. Seeing Mandy in such a disheveled state, Simon couldn't help but show a hint of disgust.

Harrison certainly had good judgment. A woman with such a temperament would naturally never capture Harrison's interest. No wonder in all the years Simon had known Harrison, he had never seen him show any romantic interest in Mandy.

Noticing Simon, Mandy continued crying and complained, "Simon, I need to see Harrison. Tell him I want to see him."

Simon gave Mandy a cold look and refused firmly. "Ms. Reed, I'm sorry, but Mr. Frost said he's busy taking care of Lily and doesn't have time. He can't see you today."
