Chapter 288: Fulfill Your Wishes

Chapter 288: Fulfill Your Wishes

Jealousy and resentment instantly flooded Mandy's mind. She kept a cold expression as she looked at Harrison, who was willing to risk everything for Elena.

She couldn't accept it.

She just couldn't!

"Harrison, let go of that bitch!"

Mandy used a commanding tone, ordering Harrison to let go.

Harrison suddenly turned his head and glared at Mandy. He didn't say anything to her, but the hatred and contempt in his eyes once again provoked Mandy.

Already prepared, Mandy reached down and grabbed a stick from the ground, then rushed at Harrison.

Charlotte and Simon, standing not far away, panicked and tried to rush forward to stop her. But because they were too far away, the solid stick in Mandy's hand had already struck Harrison's body.

"Let go, let go!"

"If you don't let go today, I'll beat you to death."

"Since you want to die, I'll make it happen for you."

One strike, then another, hitting Harrison's body hard. Harrison's face turned pale with pain, but even so, he still didn't let go of the rope in his hands.

Mandy had truly lost her mind.

Seeing that beating Harrison wasn't working, she started yelling at Elena below.

"Elena, look! I'm about to beat Harrison to death."

"Don't you love him? If you love him, stop letting him suffer like this. Just jump down and drown yourself!"

Mandy coldly mocked Elena, who was hanging there.

At this moment, because of Mandy's beating, Harrison's entire body was almost leaning against the shaky railing.

"Harrison, let me go, Harrison."

Blood was flowing from Harrison's mouth, but even so, he still gripped the rope tightly.

He gave Elena a miserable smile, his eyes full of love.

Seeing them like this, Mandy couldn't take it anymore. Just as Simon and Charlotte were about to reach them, she suddenly lifted her foot and kicked Harrison's body.

The already unstable railing, under the sudden force, broke directly. Harrison's body, along with the broken railing, slowly fell.

And the rope he was gripping tightly that held Elena also broke.

Their bodies, one higher and one lower, rapidly fell from the old bridge. Below them were the turbulent, rolling river waters.

Simon and Charlotte rushed forward. Seeing the situation was bad, they panicked. One wanted to rush forward to save Harrison and Elena, while the other charged at Mandy.

Mandy stood not far from where Harrison had fallen. She stared at Harrison's falling figure and laughed wildly.

Tears kept streaming down from the corners of her eyes.

"Harrison, well done."

"Am I really that worthless? You'd rather choose to die with her than give yourself a way to live."

"Harrison, this is what they mean by killing someone by breaking their heart."

"You want to die with Elena, and even in death, you still want to be together? No, I don't agree."

Mandy muttered to herself. The next second, just as Charlotte was about to reach her, she jumped without hesitation and disappeared into the turbulent river.

Simon stared at the rolling river, completely dazed.

From such a height, if someone fell, they would surely die. Moreover, Elena's hands were tied with a rope, making her chances of drowning even higher than those of others.

"It's over, it's over. They all fell. What do we do now?"

"Call the police, save them, hurry and save them!"

Simon frantically searched for his phone. His mind was completely blank, not knowing what to do.

As an assistant, his boss had fallen into the river—this was a serious dereliction of duty.

If he had known this would be the outcome, when he received Harrison's call and rushed to Silver Willow River Bridge, he should have prepared all emergency plans in advance.

Just as Simon and Charlotte were in complete panic, dozens of boats suddenly emerged from the bushes on both banks. After entering the water, those boats quickly rowed toward where Elena and Harrison had fallen.

Seeing this scene below, Simon said to Charlotte, "They're saved! Mr. Frost is saved! Ms. Reed is saved!"

The two rushed toward the riverbank.

Half a day later, at Elena's house, Victoria and the three children saw Simon and Charlotte, both in low spirits.

They both looked terrible and seemed to be in bad shape.

Simon lifted his face and looked at Victoria. After a moment, he said to her, "Mrs. Frost, I'm sorry. After half a day of searching, we haven't found any trace of Mr. Frost or Ms. Reed in the river."

Hearing this, Victoria's body trembled. She had been in good spirits, but now she collapsed heavily onto the sofa behind her.

"Mrs. Frost."

Seeing Victoria like this, Charlotte wanted to reach out to help her, but Victoria waved her hand, telling her to keep her distance.

Victoria thought for a moment, then said to Bronte beside her, "Bronte, take the children back to their rooms first."

Bronte had already learned from Charlotte what had happened this afternoon. She knew in her heart that Harrison and Elena, falling into the river from such a height, were probably in grave danger.

Victoria asking her to take the children to their rooms was simply to prevent them from directly facing the truth that they might have already lost their biological parents.

The corners of Bronte's eyes became slightly moist.

She took the three children to their rooms. The three children were unusually quiet. They didn't say anything, but they understood everything.

Because they had clearly seen from the computer monitor how Harrison and Elena fell into the river.

After the children left, the living room fell silent.

After a long while, Victoria finally broke the silence. She ordered Simon, "Keep searching. I believe Harrison and Elena won't just die like this."

Simon nodded and said, "Yes, Mrs. Frost. Lawrence's people have been at the riverside the whole time, and Frost Industries has also sent out a professional rescue team."

"As long as there's a glimmer of hope, we won't give up."

Victoria nodded heavily.

She asked Simon again, "What about Mandy? Where is she?"

Simon glanced at Charlotte beside him and replied, "Mandy fell into the water last, so Lawrence's people encountered her first. She's already been rescued and sent to the hospital."

"However, the doctor said she has water in her lungs, and her condition is quite critical."
