Chapter 169 Global Footprint
Anabelle’s name had begun to echo far beyond her home country. Her company had grown, and now her work was being noticed across continents.
She sat inside a private jet one morning, watching the clouds roll by through the small window. Her assistant, Clara, sat beside her, holding a tablet filled with schedules and meeting notes.
“We’ll be landing in Paris in an hour,” Clara said softly.
Anabelle nodded without looking away from the window. “Good. Do we have everything ready for the conference?”
“Yes. The presentation has been checked twice. The contracts are printed. The hotel has already prepared your suite.”
Anabelle smiled faintly. “Perfect. After Paris, we head straight to Dubai. I don’t want any delays.”
Clara tapped on her tablet quickly. “Already arranged, ma’am. The Dubai team confirmed your visit.”
The hum of the jet was steady. Anabelle closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. The weight of her growing empire was heavy, but she carried it with calm determination. She had built everything from nothing, and now the world wanted to see her.
When they landed in Paris, flashes from cameras greeted her at the airport. Journalists called out her name. “Ms. Anabelle! Over here!” one shouted. “What do you think of your company’s rise to international fame?”
Anabelle smiled politely, lifting her sunglasses slightly. “We’re just getting started,” she replied before walking briskly toward her car.
Her convoy moved through the busy Paris streets. She looked out at the Eiffel Tower in the distance, then turned to Clara. “Paris never changes. Always beautiful.”
Clara nodded. “Yes, ma’am. The city suits you.”
Later that evening, Anabelle attended a dinner meeting with three investors from France. They sat in a private room of a luxury restaurant, with gold chandeliers and soft music playing in the background.
“Your company has taken Europe by surprise,” said Mr. Laurent, one of the investors. He had gray hair and a sharp suit. “We’ve never seen such rapid growth in such a short time.”
Anabelle smiled calmly. “When you believe in what you’re doing, speed follows naturally. We plan to open a branch here in Paris soon.”
“That is excellent news,” another investor said, leaning forward. “France could benefit greatly from your innovation.”
The meeting went on for hours, filled with talks of expansion, partnerships, and new opportunities. By the end, Anabelle had secured another contract—one that would open her company to the European market fully.
When she returned to her hotel suite later that night, she dropped her handbag on the table and stood by the large glass window. The lights of Paris glittered below her like stars.
Clara entered quietly. “That went perfectly, ma’am.”
Anabelle turned slightly. “It did. But this is just one step. Tomorrow, we fly to Dubai. There’s more to do.”
Clara smiled. “You never rest, do you?”
Anabelle chuckled softly. “Not when there’s a world to conquer.”
The next morning, they boarded another jet, heading to Dubai. The heat hit them as soon as they stepped off the plane. The air smelled of spice and sand. Outside, luxury cars waited for them.
The Dubai office team welcomed Anabelle warmly. “Welcome to Dubai, Ms. Anabelle,” said Karim, the regional manager. “Everything is ready for your presentation at the global business summit.”
“Good,” Anabelle said, shaking his hand firmly. “Let’s make sure we stand out. I want every company in that hall to remember us.”
Karim nodded eagerly. “They will.”
The following day, the grand hall buzzed with people from every corner of the world—CEOs, diplomats, and investors. Cameras flashed as Anabelle took the stage. Her black suit gleamed under the lights, her hair pulled back neatly.
She looked at the crowd and began, “When I started my company, I had nothing but an idea. Today, we are not just growing—we are changing how business connects people across borders.”
Her voice was strong, clear, and confident. The audience listened closely. She spoke about technology, sustainability, and women in leadership. She showed charts of progress, photos of her factories, and testimonies from workers.
When she finished, the room filled with applause. Some stood to their feet, clapping harder than others.
Later, as she stepped off the stage, Clara rushed to her. “That was amazing! Everyone was watching you.”
Anabelle smiled faintly. “Good. Let them watch.”
Reporters crowded around again, asking questions, snapping pictures. She answered a few before being guided to a private car waiting outside.
Inside, she removed her heels and sighed. “It never ends, does it?”
Clara shook her head with a laugh. “Success never sleeps.”
From Dubai, they flew to New York. The city was loud and fast, but Anabelle fit right in. Meetings filled her days, interviews filled her evenings. She appeared on TV, sitting confidently beside other famous CEOs.
A host asked her on a talk show, “What drives you, Ms. Anabelle? You’ve built a global empire in less than five years.”
Anabelle smiled slightly. “What drives me? The belief that limits only exist if you accept them.”
The audience clapped loudly. Cameras flashed again.
After the show, she returned to her hotel room, exhausted. She sat by the window, looking at the skyline. Clara entered quietly, placing a cup of tea beside her.
“You did great today,” Clara said softly.
Anabelle nodded. “I’m proud, Clara. But sometimes, I wonder if I’ve lost something along the way.”
“Like what?”
Anabelle looked thoughtful. “Peace. Simplicity. Maybe even myself.”
Clara sat beside her. “You’ve come too far to doubt yourself now.”
Anabelle gave a small smile. “Maybe you’re right. Still, success feels lonely sometimes.”
The night stretched on. The city lights below looked like sparks floating in the dark.
The next morning, her phone buzzed non-stop with new deals and invitations. Japan wanted her for a partnership. London wanted her to speak at a summit. Africa wanted to collaborate on development projects.
She stared at the messages quietly, then said, “The world really is opening up.”
Clara smiled. “You’ve built something the world respects.”
Anabelle nodded slowly. “Yes… but now I must make sure it lasts.”
She stood and looked at the rising sun outside the window, her reflection faint against the glass. Her eyes burned with quiet determination.
From Paris to Dubai, from New York to Tokyo—her name was now everywhere. But deep inside, she knew the journey wasn’t over. It was only the beginning.
And somewhere in her heart, she sensed that the higher she climbed, the more the world would test her strength.
She smiled faintly to herself. “Let it come,” she whispered. “I’m ready.”
The city roared to life below her as the day began—another day for Anabelle to leave her mark on the world.
