Chapter 101 Scarlett Surrounded by a Group of Handsome Men
"Grandma, this afternoon I also..."
As Daniel left and Scarlett was about to get up and leave too, Magnolia held her back.
"Scarlett, don't rush. I still have something to discuss."
Magnolia looked at Tyne standing nearby, and Tyne nodded and left.
Scarlett was a bit puzzled, but soon she saw Tyne dragging Juno over. Juno kept struggling, her face looking terrible.
"Tyne, let go! I can walk by myself!"
When Juno was brought over and saw Scarlett sitting next to Magnolia, her face looked even worse, and she glared hard at Scarlett.
This was all Scarlett's fault.
Juno had originally come to the Wilson Mansion to hang out today. Who knew that just because she was on the phone with friends mocking and laughing at Scarlett, Magnolia happened to overhear.
Magnolia was very angry. Juno was supposed to go shopping with friends, but Magnolia confined her, confiscated her phone, and ordered Juno to reflect on her behavior all morning.
"I let you reflect for half a day, and it was all for nothing, wasn't it? Hurry up and apologize to Scarlett!"
Magnolia said sternly to Juno.
Scarlett hadn't expected that Magnolia asked her to stay so that Juno could apologize in person. A warm feeling flowed through Scarlett's heart.
But Juno was furious, her eyes reddening with grievance as she complained.
"Grandma, I'm your real granddaughter! How can you do this?"
Magnolia said firmly, "Scarlett is also my grandson's wife. You're both family to me, so stop making a scene. I'm fair and just, I only care about right and wrong!"
Juno wasn't willing to easily apologize and humble herself before Scarlett. She stubbornly kept her mouth shut.
Magnolia got angry. "If you won't apologize, go back to your room and keep reflecting! I'll freeze your card too, so you won't go out causing trouble all day long!"
When Juno heard that Magnolia would freeze her card, she immediately swallowed her resentment and said to Scarlett.
"I'm sorry, okay?"
Scarlett didn't let her off easy and smiled. "What did you say? Sorry to whom? I didn't hear clearly."
"Scarlett, I'm sorry!" Juno said through gritted teeth, then ran off crying.
Scarlett chatted with Magnolia for a few more minutes before also taking her leave.
As Scarlett came out of the villa, Juno caught up from behind, saying angrily.
"Scarlett, you're really something! All these years, besides running to Grandma to tattle, what else can you do? Grandma is just kind-hearted and feels sorry for you, that's why she's nice to you. Don't really think you're some important character!"
Scarlett ignored Juno and didn't even turn her head.
Juno grabbed Scarlett's arm. "A family like the Wilson family would take good care of even a stray dog picked up from the street. No matter how well we treat it, it's still just a pet for entertainment! Let me tell you, Alice is already pregnant with Daniel's child. You'll be dumped soon! Let's see how cocky you are then!"
Scarlett shook off Juno's hand. "Done barking?"
Scarlett walked away quickly. Her attitude made it seem like Juno really was a barking dog, not worth Scarlett's time to argue with an animal.
Juno stamped her feet in anger. "Who's barking? Don't think I can't tell you're calling me a dog, you bitch, you damn whore!"
In the distance, Tyne watched them leave separately and returned to the villa.
Magnolia was in a bad mood after all this commotion and went back to her room to lie down.
Tyne brought over some food and tried to persuade her.
Magnolia ate a few bites then pushed it away, sighing. "I won't live to see Daniel's child born. I can't eat."
Tyne then said, "Mrs. Magnolia Wilson, I just seemed to hear Ms. Juno Wilson say..."
"What now? Stop stammering, speak!"
"It seems Ms. Brown is pregnant with Mr. Wilson's child..."
"What?" Magnolia was shocked and frowned, instructing Tyne, "Quickly have someone check if this is true. Fast!"
Tyne left, and Magnolia sat lost in thought.
This was probably the real reason Scarlett insisted on divorce. Magnolia still didn't believe Daniel could do something so ridiculous.
She needed to find out the truth quickly and couldn't let Scarlett and Daniel actually get divorced.
A couple days later, Scarlett completed her last job before going abroad, finishing her choreography guidance for the SV boy band.
"Girl, let's go out tonight to celebrate our new album's smooth release!"
"Yeah, I want to buy Scarlett a drink too."
"Get lost! Is it your turn to buy Scarlett a drink? Get in line!"
"Why should I be behind you? I don't accept this!"
As Scarlett left the dance studio, several boy band members chased after her.
The youngest was only seventeen, and the oldest was just twenty-one. These boy band members who debuted through talent shows were all handsome and good-looking, with the talent and charm to attract lots of fans, as well as the pride and energy of their age.
When Scarlett first became their choreography instructor, she faced all kinds of doubts and criticism.
But after more than twenty days together, she had completely won them over with her abilities. They became friends and got quite close.
Bruce was the last to come out of the dance studio. Seeing Scarlett surrounded by a group of handsome guys, he walked up with a cold face, pulled aside two younger boys, stood protectively in front of Scarlett and said.
"Alright, the official recording is tomorrow. Is now a good time to drink? Everyone stay in shape and keep rehearsing tonight!"
Bruce was the team leader, and he had a natural leadership quality about him.
The team members finally settled down. After saying goodbye to Scarlett and agreeing to stay in touch on Facebook, they left, arms around each other's shoulders, chatting and joking.
Once they left, Bruce tilted his head to look at Scarlett, looking unhappy.
"They're just kids with no focus. They love to make a fuss and are good at sweet-talking girls, but nothing they say is really true! If you find them annoying, just block them on Facebook later. The work is done anyway, right, girl?"
Scarlett raised an eyebrow at him and nodded. "You're right, so I'll block you too."
"That won't work. How can I be the same as them!" Bruce immediately disagreed.
Scarlett laughed. "How are you different?"
"I'm your loyal fan! We didn't meet through work either, so of course I'm different from them! Girl, if you block me, I'll go cry on Instagram and ask my fans to judge."
Scarlett was amused by his pretend-aggrieved look. "Alright, I'm going to accounting to settle my payment, then I'm leaving."
She'd been pretty tired lately and just wanted to quickly get her payment from accounting.
Then she could go home and get a good sleep.
"I'll take you," Bruce said.
Scarlett refused. "You said yourself this isn't the time to relax. As the leader, you should set an example even more. I'm leaving, good luck Bruce!"
Scarlett waved at Bruce and left without looking back.
Bruce watched her carefree departing figure and clicked his tongue. "Really heartless, my idol."
After all, he'd been quietly pursuing her for almost a month without any results.
He was starting to doubt himself.
Scarlett didn't know about Bruce's frustration. In her eyes, Bruce was just a playful young boy with no focus.
After settling her payment with accounting, she checked her bank account on the way back and felt incredibly relieved.
Thirty million dollars. Through her own abilities, she'd finally saved up enough.
Exhaustion washed over her like a tide. Scarlett hugged her phone, tilted her head against the car window, and fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, she woke up feeling refreshed. After breakfast, Scarlett grabbed her bag and headed out.
In the car, she sent Daniel a message on Facebook.
