Chapter 97 Hold Me
Caspian's hand landed on Gloria's calf, his dry palm touching her wet leg.
Very smooth, and very firm.
Gloria couldn't care less about how terrible she looked right now. Most of her body was leaning against Caspian's chest, with only a bath towel covering her.
Her damp hair stuck to her scalp, water droplets still trickling down.
One hand wrapped around Caspian's neck, the other clutching his shirt, her whole face buried in the crook of his neck, in pain and torment.
"It hurts."
It was an indescribable pain, all her senses concentrated on that one leg.
Caspian knelt on one knee on the floor, one hand supporting Gloria's waist, the other massaging her stiff leg.
Their bodies were pressed almost entirely together, the air filled with the rich fragrance from the bathroom, quite intoxicating.
After massaging for a moment, the cramping in her calf finally stopped.
The pained expression on her face gradually faded, her moans growing softer.
"Feeling better?" Caspian's gentle breath brushed against her ear, making Gloria shiver slightly.
Only then did she come to her senses—beneath the towel, she wore nothing at all.
Even though Caspian wouldn't take advantage of her, this was way too inappropriate!
Even more embarrassing was that she had been the one clinging to his neck.
Gloria was mortified!
"I, I'm fine."
Seeing her awkwardly pull away from his embrace, one hand covering her chest, the other bracing against the floor as she tried to stand: "Sorry, I, I was just dizzy."
Like a child who'd done something wrong, her pale face suddenly flushed red as she scrambled to her feet.
The leg that had just cramped gave out the moment she put weight on it, and her body collapsed again.
Caspian had anticipated this and caught her waist.
Gloria was nearly in tears, nothing like her usual playful self on set.
"Caspian, I'm really not trying to seduce you, I just, I don't know how this happened."
She even wanted to smack herself on the head.
Could it be true what they say—that pregnancy makes you stupid?
Caspian knew, of course. In fact, he'd be more than happy if she did try to seduce him.
She didn't even need to try deliberately—he'd take the bait willingly.
Caspian grasped her fluttering hands. "Don't panic, I know, I understand everything. Just calm down first."
He bent slightly, his deep eyes gazing tenderly at Gloria. "Hold onto me."
His magnetic yet seductive voice made Gloria lose her reason.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, and Caspian lifted her up horizontally.
She was very light.
Like a feather brushing gently across his heart.
Gloria's face turned bright red, not knowing what to do with her hands and feet.
Caspian had no improper thoughts, but his hand was indeed resting on her thigh.
Not like before when she wore clothes—this was almost skin to skin.
In all her years, besides James, no other man had touched her there.
Gloria tried to ignore it, but Caspian's dry yet burning hand constantly reminded her of his presence.
Forget ignoring it—she felt like she could clearly sense the lines of his palm.
In just those few steps, Gloria's heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She curled her fists obediently against her chest, not daring to move.
Caspian carefully placed her on the bed and picked up her nightgown robe from nearby, draping it over her.
Covering her bare shoulders finally gave Gloria some sense of security.
She quickly pulled back her legs, knees together and angled to the side on the bed.
"I'm fine now, you should go rest. Sorry for disturbing you."
Caspian ignored her words and went to the bathroom to get two towels—one dampened with warm water, one dry.
He wrapped the warm towel around her calf, then wrapped her wet hair in the dry towel.
Only after finishing all this did he speak: "Not drying your hair makes it easy to catch a cold. Your leg is still hurting—what if you fall again? You won't be this lucky every time. Haven't you already decided to keep the babies? Then take good care of them."
At the mention of the babies, Gloria's heart stirred.
"I've been falling a lot lately."
"That's normal. Your morning sickness is so severe, you're barely getting any nutrition. Plus you have two babies absorbing nutrients from your body, making you weak. You're probably calcium deficient too. Not to mention with everything happening with Vivienne, you've been staying up night after night, completely exhausted—that's what's causing all this."
Gloria had never seen Caspian so gentle. Like a life mentor, he gently counseled her: "You haven't done anything wrong. You're just tired and need proper rest."
The towel on her leg had already cooled. He removed it. "Stretch out your leg, let me massage it some more. It won't hurt as much tomorrow."
"But..." Gloria clutched the corner of her nightgown, finding it hard to take this step.
She bit her pink lip, looking at Caspian before her. She'd gotten part of his clothes wet.
The thin fabric clung to his skin after getting wet, outlining his abs beneath.
This version of Caspian was devastatingly sexy.
Caspian's gaze fixed on her, his voice magnetic and deeply tempting: "Be good, give it to me."
