Chapter 115
Two bodyguards grabbed me without a word and dragged me outside.
"Mrs. Percy, where are you taking me?"
Remembering how I'd almost been shipped out of the city before, my heart pounded with fear.
Only then did Alicia look at me, her gaze contemptuous and arrogant, as if I weren't a living person but an object.
"Lucinda, I gave you a chance to leave Silverlight City. You chose not to take it."
"So now I'll handle this my way."
"Mrs. Percy! I—"
Before I could finish, a bodyguard clamped a hand over my mouth.
As they shoved me toward the car, I tried to struggle free. But these bodyguards were professionally trained—I was no match for their strength.
In the end, I was forced into the vehicle.
Even after I was inside, the two guards didn't release me. They sandwiched me between them, one on each side. Even the driver was a trained security operative.
This level of precaution meant one thing: Alicia was determined to deal with me.
I didn't dare make any sudden moves. I could only cooperate silently.
The scenery outside flew by too fast to make out any details. But I still caught sight of the road signs ahead.
This time, Alicia wasn't sending me out of the city. Instead, we followed an expressway toward another district.
The car stopped in the garage of a private club.
I knew exactly what these places were about—cesspools of scandal and corruption.
Bringing me here meant Alicia wasn't just planning to "deal with me." She was going to destroy me.
My heart plummeted into a bottomless abyss.
Because of the business relationship between the Percy Group and the Wipere Group, even though Alicia resented me, I never imagined she'd go this far.
"Get out."
The car door opened. The guard ordered me out.
I stared at that doorway—like the gaping maw of some beast—a chill running through me. Through it, I could already see my future: condemned by thousands, reviled by all.
I immediately turned to the men, feigning anger as I snapped at them.
"You're Percy family security. You should know Leopold and I aren't divorced yet."
"If he and Mr. Donovan Percy find out you helped do this—that you brought me here—you won't get off easy either!"
The three exchanged glances.
Seeing their hesitation, I pressed on. "If you let me go right now, I'll pretend none of this happened."
Worried that wasn't enough, I added, "I can even give you money so you can live comfortably after leaving the Percy family."
But the man in the front seat just gave me an inscrutable smile.
Before I could react, the two beside me grabbed me again.
Then I watched as the man in front pulled out a small sealed case. Inside was a syringe filled with clear liquid.
My pupils dilated. "What are you doing to me?"
"Hold her tight. Don't let her move."
At his command, I felt my arms nearly twisted to the breaking point.
"No! Don't..."
I shook my head frantically, trying to pull back. But they yanked me forward again.
The next second, a cold needle pierced my arm. My heart seized.
"Take her inside."
After the injection, the man ordered the others to bring me out of the car.
I tried to struggle, but my body went inexplicably weak. I couldn't summon any strength. Even my vision blurred.
An indescribable heat rose from my abdomen. As my breathing deepened, that heat spread through my chest, leaving my mouth dry.
"Right here."
Someone opened a nearby door and shoved me inside.
My body gave out completely. I collapsed to the floor.
My head felt like it weighed a thousand pounds. It took all my effort to lift it even slightly.
That's when two bare male legs appeared in my line of sight.
"The person's here, just like you asked. Remember to record everything per Mrs. Percy's instructions."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll make sure to get it all crystal clear."
After the bodyguard spoke, a familiar voice echoed above me.
The door locked.
I gasped for air, struggling to see my surroundings clearly.
"Lucinda, never thought you'd end up in my hands. You almost destroyed my ability to have children before. Today, I'm making you pay double!"
Did it destroy his ability to have children?
My foggy brain suddenly cleared for a moment. I forced my head up, my pupils contracting sharply.
"Mr. Wood!"
His upper body was bare, a towel wrapped around his waist—clearly fresh from a shower.
Pleased by my shock, he bent down and gripped my chin hard, his smile vicious and lewd.
"You used to flaunt your looks and defy me at every turn, embarrassing me. Today, I'm going to show you what it means to wish you were dead!"
I braced my hands against the floor, looking up at him. "Don't touch me, or Leopold won't let you get away with this."
A wicked smile curved Asher's lips, his eyes gleaming with greed and lust.
"That might've worked before, but not anymore."
"When Alicia Percy came to me, she made it clear—the Percy family will never let you marry in. You're nothing but used goods now."
"You should be grateful I don't mind! Stop dreaming about Mr. Percy!"
With that, he grabbed my shirt and ripped it open.
Large swaths of my skin were exposed to the air.
"Bastard! Don't touch me!"
I screamed, using every ounce of strength to break free, scrambling backward on my hands and feet.
As I retreated, I desperately tried to cover my torn clothing.
Asher watched me like prey in its death throes, advancing step by step.
I kept backing up until my spine hit the wall. Cold seeped through my entire body.
He slapped me hard across the face and snarled, "I suggest you behave! You're not getting away today. Stop wasting energy! Be good, and I'll 'train' you properly—show you the ultimate pleasure of being a woman."
"Stay back!"
The slap left my face numb, but I refused to submit, swinging my arms to keep him away.
He caught both my hands and dragged me onto the bed.
Terror flooded through me. My body trembled uncontrollably.
Asher only grew more excited, grabbing a fistful of my hair. "Struggle all you want. The more you resist, the more I enjoy it."
My scalp burned. I couldn't even speak.
Asher leaned toward my neck. A nauseating smell washed over my face.
"Lucinda, tonight I'm going to destroy you!"
The voice dripped with malice, chilling me to the bone.
I bit my lip in despair. There was truly no escape now.
Just then—
The door suddenly exploded inward with a powerful kick.
I flinched violently.
Asher was furious, whipping around to shout, "Who dares interrupt me? Do you know who I—"
Before he could finish, someone hooked him by the neck and yanked him backward.
The weight lifted from me. I finally opened my eyes, frantically pulling the blanket over myself before looking down at the floor.
