Chapter 54
Chapter 54
I turned back, my heart racing with fear. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. My mother-in-law and Marco, plotting to take everything from Xavier and get rid of me? It was too much to take in.
I felt like I was in a daze as I walked back to the living room, my mind reeling with thoughts of what to do next. I couldn't let them do this to Xavier, but I also couldn't confront them alone. I needed a plan, and I needed help.
As I entered the living room, Xavier looked up at me with concern. "Babe, what's wrong?" he asked, getting up from the couch.
I hesitated, unsure of how much to tell him. But something about his kind eyes and gentle tone put me at ease. "I need to tell you something," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
Xavier nodded and took my hand, leading me to the couch. "What is it?" he asked, his eyes locked on mine.
I took a deep breath and told him everything I had just heard. Xavier's expression changed from concern to shock, and then to anger. "We need to get out of here," he said, his voice firm. "Let's go upstairs."
Xavier led me to our room, his hand firmly grasping mine. As soon as we were inside, he turned to me and asked, "Babe, where did you go? You were gone for hours." I was excited he changed the topic as I didn't know how to tell him his brother and mother were against him and trying to get rid of him.
At first, I ignored him, still trying to process everything that had just happened. But Xavier's persistent gaze eventually got to me, and I sighed, "Your mother asked me to run some errands for her."
Xavier's expression turned incredulous. "What kind of errands?"
I hesitated, not wanting to relive the humiliation. But Xavier's gentle prodding encouraged me to continue. "She asked me to deliver some packages to her friends. And when I tried to refuse, she guilt-tripped me into doing it."
Xavier's face darkened, and he growled, "I'm going to talk to her about this."
I placed a restraining hand on his arm. "Wait, Xavier. It gets worse."
He turned to me, his eyes blazing with intensity. "What do you mean?"
"I'm so sorry, babe. I had no idea she was treating you like this."
"It's fine." I said.
Xavier's face was red with anger, his jaw clenched in frustration. "No, it's not. I can't believe my mother would do this to you," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "She had no right to treat you like a servant. You are Mrs Presley. Mrs Lilith Presley."
I could see the fury in his eyes, and I knew he was ready to confront his mother. But I also knew that wouldn't solve anything. In fact, it would only make things worse.
"Xavier, don't," I said, placing a calming hand on his arm. "Confronting her won't help. It will only lead to more drama and stress."
Xavier's gaze snapped to mine, his eyes flashing with disbelief. "How can you say that? She's been taking advantage of you, my love. She's been treating you like a servant."
I sighed, trying to reason with him. "I know, Xavier. But your mother is a master manipulator. She'll just twist everything around and make it seem like I'm the one who's crazy."
Xavier's expression softened slightly, but his jaw was still clenched in anger. "What do you want me to do, then?" he asked gruffly.
I took a deep breath and suggested, "Let's just focus on getting out of here, okay? We can leave and start fresh somewhere else. Just the two of us."
Xavier's eyes searched mine, and after a moment, he nodded. "Okay, Lilith. We'll do it. We'll leave and start over."
"Xavier, what did you and my father do together?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.
Xavier just chuckled and shook his head, "Ah, babe, that's a story for another time."
But I was not to be deterred. "Come on, Xavier, tell me. What did you two get up to?"
Xavier just smiled his eyes sparkling with amusement. I could tell he was trying to avoid the question, but I was determined to get an answer.
"Xavier, seriously, what did you do?" I asked, my hands on my hips.
"Maybe someday I'll tell you, babe. But for now, let's just say it's a man to man thing."
I rolled my eyes and sighed, realizing I wasn't going to get anything out of him. But I was still curious... what had Xavier and my father done together?
Xavier removed my hand from his hip and gently pushed me away, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Babe, I need to take a shower, I'm exhausted." he said, his voice low and husky.
But I was not to be deterred. I followed him into the bathroom, my heart racing with anticipation. Xavier started to undress, his movements slow and deliberate. He pulled off his shirt, revealing his chiseled chest, and I couldn't help but gasp in admiration.
As he unzipped his pants, I felt a flutter in my chest. I had seen Xavier naked before, but it never failed to take my breath away. He was so confident, so comfortable in his own skin, and it was incredibly sexy.
Xavier caught my gaze and raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Enjoying the show?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
I felt my cheeks flush, but I couldn't look away. Xavier was beautiful, and I was captivated by his every move. He slipped off his pants and boxer briefs, revealing his toned legs and... ahem... other assets.
I swallowed hard, my mouth dry. Xavier was definitely enjoying this, and I couldn't blame him. He was stunning, and I was the luckiest woman alive to have him as my husband.
As he stepped into the shower, I couldn't help but follow. I needed to be close to him, to feel his warmth and his love. Xavier chuckled and pulled me into the shower with him, his arms wrapping around me like a vice.
"Lilith, you're insatiable," he whispered, his lips nibbling my ear.
I giggled and wrapped my arms around his waist, feeling his hardness press against me. "Can't help it," I replied, my voice husky. "You're just too delicious to resist."
"Xavier, don't try to change the topic," I said, my voice firm but my heart racing with anticipation.
But Xavier just smiled and pulled me closer, his lips inches from mine. "I'm not changing the topic, babe," he whispered, his breath tickling my skin. "I'm just showing you that there are more important things in life than arguing."
And with that, he kissed me, his lips gentle but insistent. I felt my resistance melt away as he explored my mouth, his tongue dancing with mine. It was like the whole world had come to a standstill, and all that mattered was this moment, this kiss.
Xavier's hands were everywhere, caressing my skin, pulling me closer. I felt his hardness press against me, and I couldn't help but moan in response. His lips were like magic, making me forget everything except the sensation of his touch.
As we kissed, Xavier's hands roamed my body, exploring every curve and contour. His fingers traced the outline of my breasts, sending shivers down my spine. I arched my back, pressing myself against him, wanting more.
Xavier's lips left mine, and he trailed kisses down my neck, his tongue sending shivers down my spine. I felt his teeth graze my skin, and I gasped in pleasure. His hands were still exploring my body, and I couldn't help but wonder what other magic he had in store for me.
"Xavier," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"Yes, my love?" he replied, his voice low and husky.
"I think we've forgotten about the argument," I said, my heart racing with excitement.
Xavier chuckled and pulled me closer. "I think you're right," he said, his lips inches from mine. "Let's just forget about it and enjoy each other."
"I'm worried," I whispered, my voice trembling slightly.
Xavier's lips left mine, and he looked at me with concern. "What's wrong, babe?" he asked, his eyes searching mine.
"I don't know," I admitted, feeling a sense of uncertainty. "I just feel like something's off."
Xavier pulled me closer, his arms wrapping around me like a warm embrace. "Everything's fine, Lilith," he assured me, his voice soft and calming. "We're together, and that's all that matters."
As he spoke, his lips trailed kisses down my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I felt my worries start to fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and contentment.
The shower was still on, and the warm water cascaded down our bodies, creating a sense of intimacy and closeness. I felt Xavier's hands on my skin, his fingers tracing the contours of my body, and I couldn't help but moan in pleasure.
As we continued to kiss, I felt my fears and worries melting away, replaced by a sense of trust and love for this man who held me in his arms. The water, the warmth, and Xavier's touch all combined to create a sense of bliss that I had never experienced before.
I deepened the kiss, my tongue entwining with Xavier's, as the shower continued to pour down on us. It was like the whole world had disappeared, and all that mattered was this moment, this kiss, and the love we shared.
Just as Xavier and I were getting lost in our kiss, a loud knock at the door broke us apart. We both froze, our hearts racing, as the knocking grew louder and more insistent.
"I'll get it," I said quickly, my voice husky from our interrupted kiss.
I rushed out of the bathroom, grabbing a towel to wrap around myself as I went. I quickly changed into some clothes, my heart still racing from the sudden interruption.
As I approached the door, the knocking grew louder and more urgent. I could feel my anxiety spiking, wondering who it could be and what they wanted.
I took a deep breath and opened the door, trying to compose myself. But to my surprise, it was Marco's standing in the doorway with a stern expression on her face.
"Lilith, we need to talk," he said, his voice firm and commanding.
My heart sank, wondering what I had done wrong now. I hesitated for a moment before turning around to check if Xavier was still in the bathroom. What does he want from me now?
"Who's at the door?" Xavier asked, his voice curious.
I hesitated for a moment, not wanting to reveal the truth. "It's just one of the maids," I lied, trying to sound nonchalant.
I turned my attention back Marco who was still standing in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity.
"Marco, what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"I need to talk to you," he replied, his voice firm.
I didn't want to hear it. I didn't want to know what he had to say. I just wanted him to leave.
"Come on," I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the door. "Let's go."
I dragged hum down the hall, away from our room and away from Xavier. I didn't want him to know what was going on. I didn't want him to get involved.
As we walked, Marco's hand felt heavy in mine, like a weight was pulling me down. I knew I had to get rid of him. I had to make him leave.
"Listen," I said, my voice low and urgent. "Whatever it is, I don't want to know. Just leave. We can always talk later."
Marco stopped and turned to me, his eyes flashing with anger. "You can't avoid this forever," he hissed.
I stood my ground, my heart beating fast in my chest. "I'm not avoiding anything," I lied. "I just don't want to hear it."
Marco's face twisted in disgust. "Fine," he spat. "But this isn't over. I just need something important from you urgently."
