Chapter 451 Likes to Sleep Holding Him
Sophia was caught off guard as Benjamin swept her up and placed her on the bed. Before she could react, his tall figure loomed over her.
Then came a torrent of kisses.
Benjamin's crisp, clean scent wrapped tightly around Sophia, leaving her no chance to escape.
Sophia's attention shifted away from those psychology books and onto him.
Benjamin curled his lips in satisfaction and deepened the kiss.
Over an hour later, Sophia lay drenched in sweat, her flushed cheeks pressed against Benjamin's chest.
Her fair skin was covered with kiss marks, making her look thoroughly ravished.
Benjamin knew she'd been working hard lately, so he held back. Though he wasn't fully satisfied, he couldn't bear to wear her out.
He pulled Sophia tightly into his arms and kissed her forehead.
"Sleep now. We'll continue tomorrow."
Sophia had been getting drowsy, but at Benjamin's words, her eyes flew wide open.
What did he mean by "continue tomorrow"?
She didn't want to have sex with him tomorrow either.
Perhaps her expression was too obvious, because Benjamin laughed helplessly.
After getting married, how could they stay celibate?
After a pause, he added, "If you want to get it all done today, I can satisfy you too."
After all, he was full of energy right now—four or five more rounds would be absolutely no problem.
He just wasn't sure if Sophia's small frame could handle it.
Sophia understood the meaning behind his words better than anyone, and the blush on her cheeks deepened.
She covered her burning face, her bright eyes glaring at him fiercely. "No way! Tomorrow it is then!"
With that, she yawned, found a comfortable position in Benjamin's arms, and quickly fell asleep.
But Benjamin wasn't sleepy at all.
Actually, he hadn't lied—the restlessness in his body was still running high, and his desire hadn't subsided.
If not for the covers, Sophia would only need to glance down to notice.
In the end, all his restraint turned into a sigh.
Once Sophia's breathing gradually steadied, Benjamin slowly withdrew his arm and got up to go to the bathroom.
After a cold shower, the fire in his body finally began to cool down.
When he came out of the bathroom, cold air radiated from his body.
The weather was getting colder now. Although the air conditioning was on in the room, he still didn't dare lie back down immediately.
Sophia was sensitive to cold and liked to sleep while holding him—what if she caught a chill?
He lightened his steps, went downstairs to pour himself a glass of cold water, then went to the study to handle some documents.
It wasn't until dawn was breaking that he finally returned to the bedroom and lay down.
Alaric was right—although the Stewart Group was on the verge of bankruptcy, it wasn't completely without profit potential.
The most important thing now was to think carefully about how to maximize the Stewart Group's value.
The White Group had relied on traditional industries for the past few years, leaving plenty of room for development.
There were two directions to choose from: first, develop the Stewart Group into a subsidiary of the White Group and continue operating traditional business—the White Group had top-tier technology and equipment in this area.
Second, expand into new business ventures. Though there were risks, the returns could be substantial.
Alaric was cautious in his approach and had chosen the first option.
But Benjamin wanted to try something new.
He had a tech company in Silverlight City that focused on developing various smart products.
This industry had great prospects. If starting from scratch, the White Group would definitely fall behind.
But if they built on the foundation of his company, that would be different.
His tech company wasn't large, but it had everything it needed—top research talent and equipment.
As long as there was enough funding, development wouldn't be a problem.
After thinking it through, Benjamin immediately wrote up a proposal.
Technically, this kind of proposal shouldn't be written by him, but since he had nothing else to do, he went ahead and wrote it.
After finishing everything, Benjamin contentedly returned to the bedroom to sleep while holding his wife.
Sophia knew nothing about what he'd been doing. When she woke up, it was already noon the next day.
After a quick wash, she headed downstairs, only to find an unexpected guest at home.
"Celestia? You're out of the hospital?"
Sophia looked curiously at Celestia sitting on the sofa, wondering why she was here.
Celestia stood up from the sofa, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
"I... I came to thank you. I've been misunderstanding you all this time. I'm sorry."
Celestia's words seemed to come out of nowhere, leaving Sophia completely confused.
When did the proud Celestia learn to apologize to people?
Still, hearing this apology from Celestia felt quite satisfying.
After all, getting Celestia to lower her head was like the sun rising from the west.
Celestia noticed the doubt and confusion in her eyes and explained, "I heard from the doctor that if it weren't for you, I might have been in life-threatening danger."
The flu itself wasn't scary, but Celestia had a severe case that was highly contagious.
During that time, she saw patients wearing masks at the hospital every day.
The doctor also said her illness wasn't actually caused by getting caught in the rain, but from coming into contact with someone who had the flu.
She'd been infected by accident.
Combined with being drenched in rain all night, running a high fever, and weakened immunity, that's why it became so serious.
In any case, if it weren't for Sophia, she didn't dare imagine what the consequences might have been.
"Didn't you already thank me last time? You made a special trip here today—it can't just be for this, right?"
Sophia bluntly called out Celestia.
She hadn't eaten breakfast yet and didn't have time to listen to Celestia talk about how miserable she'd been lately.
Celestia's face suddenly flushed. "Matthew also found out about me testing the medicine for you, and he even praised me."
Sophia's eyes widened in disbelief. "Matthew? Praised you?"
"It's true! Matthew said I did very well and that he's changed his opinion of me. I believe it won't be long before I completely win his heart!"
Celestia was very confident in herself.
She was beautiful and came from a good family—people lining up to pursue her filled the streets.
Winning over Matthew would definitely be no problem!
Sophia rubbed her forehead helplessly, thought for a moment, then said, "Maybe Matthew just changed his opinion of you and didn't mean anything else by it."
That day at the Martinez family's birthday party, she'd noticed Matthew's feelings for Adelaide.
Even though Matthew hid it well, the look in someone's eyes when they're in love can't be concealed.
She believed Matthew wasn't the type to casually lead women on.
So, could it be that Celestia had misunderstood?
"Impossible! Matthew definitely likes me, he's just too shy to say it!"
Matthew had personally told her, "Ms. White, thank you for testing the medicine for Sophia. If I've offended you in any way before, I hope you'll forgive me."
On the surface, this seemed like an ordinary statement, but Celestia viewed Matthew through rose-colored glasses.
And this was the first time Matthew had spoken to her in such a gentle, warm tone.
Her heart couldn't calm down for a long time.
So when Celestia spoke, she unconsciously raised her voice, her eyes full of joy and excitement.
Celestia didn't notice at all that as she said this, someone who had been about to enter through the doorway paused slightly in their steps.
