Chapter 400 Fainting
Valentin gestured toward him, "Go ahead."
Benjamin raised his hand and touched the injury on his face. He didn't need to look to know his face was already swollen, and blood was still flowing from the corner of his lips.
He glanced down at his disheveled shirt and gave a mocking smile. "You came here just to test my skills?"
"What if I said yes?" Valentin looked at him meaningfully.
Benjamin stopped in his tracks, a dark and unpredictable cold glint flashing in his deep eyes. "So now you've seen what I can do? Can you leave?"
"Don't be so tense. I've always appreciated capable people, and you certainly didn't disappoint me." Valentin leaned back lazily on the sofa, the corners of his lips curling up slightly.
His gaze toward Benjamin was full of satisfaction and approval.
However, the next second, his eyes suddenly turned cold, and a storm rolled through his pupils. "But I hate people who betray me the most."
As soon as he finished speaking, another group of bodyguards in black suits rushed in, surrounding Benjamin completely.
Benjamin watched them warily, his well-defined hands clenched tightly into fists.
If he still had a chance of winning in the earlier fight, after all that struggle, his stamina was nearly exhausted.
Facing so many people now, he probably didn't even have room to resist.
"Scared?" Valentin asked.
Benjamin gritted his teeth and sneered, "Did you forget whose territory this is?"
After he spoke, Chase, who should have left, rushed in with a group of people, and the two groups started fighting.
Benjamin stood among the crowd, his sharp, hawk-like eyes fixed directly on Valentin. "I'm curious—who exactly are you? Why do you know so much about me?"
He hated this feeling of being played. He instinctively reached out to grab the mask on Valentin's face.
Valentin nimbly dodged to the side, avoiding his attack, and smoothly pressed him down onto the sofa.
Benjamin struggled hard, but the earlier fight had drained all his strength—he had been forcing himself to hold on.
And Valentin had real skills. Valentin used a clever technique to pin his arms behind his back, making him unable to move.
He closed his eyes tightly, then heard Valentin say, "Fighting me? You're still too green. Benjamin, this feeling of having your entire life destroyed—it's not pleasant, is it? I destroyed you once, and I can do it a second time."
Valentin lowered his eyes, gazing at Benjamin's back, a bloodthirsty hatred flashing in his eyes.
The next second, he suddenly released Benjamin and waved at his subordinates. "Withdraw."
Chase had been beaten black and blue, even his glasses knocked off, but after being released, he still rushed to Benjamin's side first.
"Mr. White, are you okay?"
Benjamin watched the figure leaving and slowly shook his head.
Chase clenched his fists and ordered his subordinates, "Chase them! Don't let a single one escape!"
Chase helped Benjamin up from the sofa, but before he could say anything, Benjamin felt dizzy.
He coughed violently several times, and with each cough, he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
"Mr. White, you're injured? Let me take you to the hospital."
"Don't go." Benjamin stopped his suggestion. If they went to the hospital, they'd probably run into Sophia's acquaintances.
Then she would definitely find out he was injured.
He didn't want her to worry about him.
He leaned back on the sofa, his vision darkening, injuries all over his body, yet he kept gritting his teeth and holding on.
Now that Valentin had left, his tense nerves relaxed slightly, and he passed out directly.
"Mr. White!" Chase was terrified. He had followed Benjamin for so many years, and this was the first time he'd seen him with so many wounds.
He anxiously ordered his subordinates to carry him to his car, then called Alaric.
When Alaric heard Benjamin was injured, he immediately told Chase to bring him to his private villa.
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Benjamin had specifically instructed that Sophia absolutely couldn't find out about his injury—they couldn't go to the hospital or return to the White Manor.
Fortunately, there was still Alaric.
More than ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a detached villa. Chase and Alaric worked together to carry him out.
Alaric examined his injuries, his expression grave as he frowned. "How did he get hurt so badly? What exactly happened just now?"
Chase glanced at the unconscious Benjamin, hesitating to speak.
This... Benjamin told him not to say anything.
"Do you not want next month's bonus?" Alaric narrowed his eyes slightly, a dangerous light emanating from them.
Chase: "I'll talk! I'll tell you right now..."
He told Alaric everything that had happened in the bar's private room.
This really wasn't his fault!
He still needed to save money to get married, and Alaric was currently the one controlling his financial lifeline.
Alaric's expression turned cold. "Who is this Mr. Bryant? Have you found out?"
"On the way here, I got a call saying they lost him and couldn't find anything." Mentioning this made Chase's heart sink too.
Alaric lowered his eyes, silent, seemingly lost in thought.
The spacious bedroom fell into an eerie silence.
Chase felt uncomfortable all over, wanting to ask Alaric what to do next, but not daring to.
"Have Eldon pull tonight's bar surveillance footage and send a copy to my email."
"Okay, I'll contact him right away." Chase responded and immediately took out his phone to call Eldon.
After giving these instructions, Alaric took out the medical kit to treat Benjamin's wounds.
After examining him, his expression grew even darker.
Benjamin was injured too severely—his right arm was fractured, and he had several knife wounds on his body. The wounds were deep, and at the deepest points, bone was faintly visible.
Blood had nearly soaked through his entire shirt.
His eyes were tightly closed, his face pale, his lips completely bloodless.
Even Benjamin's breathing was becoming weaker and weaker.
In short, Benjamin was seriously injured and needed hospital treatment.
Alaric told Chase about his condition. Chase's eyes widened in disbelief. "How is that possible?"
Before Benjamin passed out, aside from looking a bit pale, he showed no other signs of injury, which was why he hadn't taken him to the hospital.
To endure such serious injuries without making a sound—that was... incredibly tough.
Alaric bent down to pick up Benjamin, his face showing undisguised anxiety. "He's too seriously injured. He must go to the hospital."
Chase's face showed a troubled expression. "But Mr. Benjamin White said we can't go to the hospital. He doesn't want his wife to know he's injured."
"Ridiculous!" Alaric scolded in a low voice. "Do you think he can hide it in his current condition?"
At that moment, Chase's phone suddenly rang.
When Chase saw the name displayed on his phone, he froze, somewhat at a loss. "It's Mrs. White calling."
