Chapter 395 She Pounced on Me
"How can Matthew like someone else? No way, absolutely not!"
Matthew is hers, and only hers!
No one can take him away!
"Celestia, didn't Isabella suggest before that you drug him? Once you sleep with him, he'll have no choice but to agree." Arabella whispered.
"No, if I really do that, Matthew will hate me forever!"
Celestia hung her head in defeat, her eyes full of disappointment.
Arabella patted her shoulder. "Men are all like that. When push comes to shove, he'll have no choice but to agree."
"But..."
"No buts. You're the only daughter of the White family. If Matthew doesn't agree, he's just being ungrateful."
Celestia didn't answer right away. Instead, she said, "Mom, please go out. I want to be alone for a while."
Arabella wanted to say more, but seeing Celestia's low spirits, she held back.
She let out a deep sigh and got up to leave the hospital room.
After leaving the room, Sophia had Benjamin sit in a chair in the hallway while she went to find Francis.
Benjamin let her lead him and sat down obediently.
Before Sophia left, he grabbed her wrist and said quietly, "Come back soon."
"Okay."
She laughed softly, hooking her pinky finger gently in Benjamin's warm palm before slowly letting go.
A ticklish feeling spread through his palm, and Benjamin couldn't help but smile.
Watching her figure disappear at the end of the hallway, he slowly looked away.
With his outstanding presence and refined features, passing nurses and patients' families thought some celebrity was filming a movie.
Benjamin looked like a CEO straight out of a comic book, impossible to look away from.
In just a few minutes, several people had already asked for his contact information.
Without exception, all the bold girls who approached him were rejected.
Benjamin's expression was cold, radiating an unapproachable aura.
Though his tone was calm when speaking, it gave people an inexplicable chill.
"Sorry, my wife doesn't allow it."
Brief and commanding.
Practically writing "I'm married" on his face.
Every girl who heard this blushed and left awkwardly.
After those women left, Benjamin thought he could finally have some peace, but someone else approached.
"Benjamin? Is that you?"
Benjamin turned his head to see a thin, unfamiliar woman walking toward him.
The woman looked somewhat familiar, but her eyes made him uncomfortable.
When she looked at him, there was a calculating gleam in her eyes.
Though well-hidden, he spotted it immediately.
He asked, "Who are you?"
Seeing Benjamin staring at her, Isabella's cheeks flushed as she brushed back her bangs, trying to show her best angle.
But she never expected Benjamin wouldn't remember her!
Her hand froze in mid-air. After a long pause, she forced a smile and introduced herself: "Mr. White, I'm Isabella. Don't you remember?"
"You're Hayden's illegitimate daughter."
Though Benjamin hadn't fully recovered his memory, he had investigated everything about Sophia.
Naturally, he also knew what Isabella had done to Sophia before.
His eyes grew colder. "What do you want?"
Isabella didn't expect Benjamin to be even less charming than two years ago. Any normal man would have been captivated by her by now.
How could he be so cold to her?
She bit her lip secretly but kept smiling on the surface. "Mr. White, I actually came to tell you not to be fooled by Sophia's appearance. She's actually a scheming woman."
Benjamin raised an eyebrow. "How so?"
Getting a response from Benjamin, Isabella's eyes lit up. "Mr. White, you believe me? Let me tell you secretly, Elijah actually sent me to find you."
As she spoke, Isabella playfully winked at him, her eyes sparkling with flirtation.
Isabella was confident in her looks. As long as she wanted, she could captivate anyone.
What was Sophia compared to her? How dare she compete?
Besides, what man doesn't look for women outside? Especially successful, charismatic men like Benjamin—how could he be content loving just one woman his whole life?
Benjamin frowned, disgust flashing in his eyes, but he patiently asked, "You know Elijah? What did he send you to do?"
"To help you, of course! He told me you came here to take Sophia away, but the White family tricked you!" Isabella said through gritted teeth.
"Really? How did they trick me?"
Isabella didn't notice the coldness in Benjamin's eyes, thinking her charm had won him over. She blurted out:
"They said you lost your memory. How is that possible? You should know best what you've been through!"
Benjamin crossed his legs, leaning back against the chair, his fingers tapping slightly.
So Elijah didn't know he had started treatment yet, still thinking he simply fell in love with Sophia and betrayed GeneCipher Society for her.
Isabella continued, "Mr. White, Sophia is a scheming woman. Otherwise, she couldn't have you wrapped around her finger! You absolutely can't trust her!"
"I'm in this situation today all because of Sophia! Someday I'll make that little bitch pay."
Hearing Isabella speak ill of Sophia, Benjamin's long-suppressed anger exploded.
"You're in this situation because you brought it on yourself, didn't you? Don't let me hear another word against Sophia from your mouth. Get lost!"
Isabella was frightened by his cold, oppressive presence and shrank back, her eyes full of disbelief.
"Mr. White, how can you treat me like this?"
"Get lost. Don't make me say it a third time." Benjamin glanced at her coldly, then looked away in disgust.
As if looking at something dirty.
That look deeply hurt Isabella's pride.
She bit her lip hard, clenching her fists tightly. Just as she was about to say something, she caught sight of a figure approaching from the corner of her eye.
Sophia was coming back.
Isabella had a flash of inspiration and lunged at Benjamin. "Benjamin, how can you treat me like this?"
Benjamin's eyes widened. He stood up abruptly and dodged to the side.
Isabella fell hard onto the chair, her head hitting the wall directly.
"Ow!" She gasped, pain shooting through her forehead.
She touched it and found a bump had already formed.
When Sophia walked over, this was the scene she saw.
She frowned. "Isabella? What are you doing here?"
Benjamin quickly walked to Sophia and pointed at Isabella, tattling, "Sophia, she threw herself at me."
