Chapter 281 This Woman Is Your Mother, Then What Am I
Meeting Benjamin's gaze, cold as an icy blade, Olivia felt an inexplicable panic rise in her heart.
Her eyes flickered, and the confidence in her bearing instantly weakened.
"Mr. White, you have no idea what Sophia is really like. She's not as simple as she appears..."
"Shut up!" Benjamin snapped harshly, cutting off Olivia's words.
He narrowed his eyes mockingly and said coldly, "Your husband is currently with another woman, about to run away with their illegitimate child. Are you sure you want to waste your time here?"
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Olivia's face turned deathly pale as she stared in disbelief.
Benjamin sneered, "If you don't leave now, they'll be boarding a flight abroad."
"No... that can't be!" Olivia shook her head frantically, her eyes instantly turning red.
She looked up at Benjamin, trying to find any trace of a lie in his eyes.
However, Benjamin's gaze was calm and still, like a deep, bottomless cold pool without a ripple.
Olivia's heart sank heavily as she turned and left in a panic.
She hailed a taxi on the roadside and told the driver to head to the airport.
On the way, she clutched her phone tightly, calling Hayden over and over again.
But still, no one answered.
The phone remained switched off.
She hadn't wanted to believe Benjamin's words, but he had no reason to lie.
Thinking back to Hayden's sudden change in attitude toward her, Olivia began to panic.
Soon, the taxi arrived at the airport.
Olivia rushed inside.
Her heart pounded wildly, as if it would burst out of her chest at any moment.
But she couldn't think about that now—she just knew she absolutely couldn't let Hayden leave.
She had loved Hayden for over twenty years, sacrificed so much for this family, even given up her own family for him...
Why was Hayden treating her this way?
Keeping a mistress behind her back was one thing, but he even had an illegitimate child!
When she reached the airport, Hayden hadn't boarded the plane yet.
He was with Seraphine and Isabella, who had already been bailed out, waiting together in the departure lounge.
Seraphine leaned against Hayden's shoulder like a delicate bird, her eyes seductive, her red lips slightly pouting as she whined coquettishly, "Hayden, why did we have to leave today? I didn't even have time to pack most of my things!"
Hayden looked around warily. Hearing Seraphine's words, his expression darkened.
After the Brown Group went bankrupt, he had withdrawn some of the money he'd transferred earlier.
For the past few days, Seraphine had been crying in Hayden's ear about how much their daughter had suffered at the police station.
She insisted he bail Isabella out no matter what.
Originally, the police station refused to release her because Benjamin and Xander had specifically instructed them not to let anyone take Isabella away.
But yesterday, for some reason, Benjamin suddenly relented.
That's why Isabella could be bailed out so smoothly.
Hayden knew nothing about what Benjamin had done. He only knew that rescuing Isabella had cost him a lot of money.
This was money he'd saved over more than twenty years, and he'd spent a third of it on Isabella in one go.
Because Isabella's situation was special, with the White family and the Smith family watching, the police station demanded a huge sum before agreeing to release her.
Thinking about that money made Hayden's heart ache.
Isabella sat beside Hayden. Life at the police station hadn't been easy—in just this short time, she'd become gaunt and haggard.
Her eyes were red as she looked at Hayden pitifully, "Dad, is it really okay for us to just leave like this? What if Mom finds out?"
Before Hayden could speak, Seraphine's face darkened. "Isabella, why are you still calling that old woman Mom? I'm your real mother! Don't forget who's most important to you."
Isabella realized she'd said the wrong thing and quickly corrected herself, "Mom, I'm sorry, it's just a habit. That woman doesn't deserve to be my mother at all!"
Olivia, who had rushed over, walked into the departure lounge just in time to hear Isabella's words.
She froze in place as if struck by lightning.
She stared in disbelief, thinking she must be seeing things.
Isabella?
It was Isabella?
When did she get out?
Why was she calling another woman Mom and calling her an old woman?
Olivia was completely stunned. Her gaze suddenly fell on the woman beside Hayden.
The woman had a curvy figure and wore revealing, sexy clothes, practically pressing her entire body against Hayden.
Although Hayden was middle-aged, his face was well-maintained.
His physique was also in good shape.
So even though he was married, many women still threw themselves at him.
But Hayden had always ignored those women.
This was what Olivia was most proud of.
No matter what tricks those women used, Hayden always remained faithful.
But she never imagined that it had all been an illusion.
The emotions Olivia had suppressed for so long exploded in that moment. She rushed forward and screamed at Seraphine, "You homewrecker! How dare you seduce my husband! How dare you seduce my husband..."
Before Seraphine could react, she saw a figure charging at her.
Then came sharp pain all over her body as Olivia's fists and slaps rained down on her.
She couldn't help but scream, jumping up and pulling Hayden, trying to hide behind him.
Hayden stared at the person before him in shock. "Olivia? How did you get here?"
Olivia suddenly stopped and looked at Hayden with a cold laugh. "How did I get here? If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have seen your true colors! Who is this woman? Why is she with you?"
The commotion was drawing a lot of attention.
People stood around watching them with gossipy or curious eyes.
But Olivia didn't care about losing face anymore. She was completely heartbroken.
She looked at Hayden, waiting for his answer.
Hayden frowned, but before he could speak, Isabella stepped forward.
Olivia looked up to see Isabella standing in front of her. "Mrs. Brown, what's there to say? You couldn't keep your man—you have no right to blame my mother."
"Your mother?" Olivia's face was full of disbelief. She pointed a trembling finger at Seraphine. "You're saying this woman is your mother? Then what am I?"
Isabella's gaze swept over Olivia, and she smiled contemptuously. "Mrs. Brown, this is my biological mother. You were just raising me on behalf of my mom."
Olivia was stunned again. She never imagined that Isabella, whom she'd raised all these years, would say such things.
Isabella suddenly stepped closer and whispered in Olivia's ear, "Don't you understand? Dad's always loved my mom the most, and I'm his favorite daughter. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been brought into the Brown family."
