Chapter 177 His Chest Is Reserved for Sophia
Cillian had been spoiled since childhood and had a very innocent personality.
He never hid his likes and dislikes - his eyes let people see right through to what he was thinking.
Looking at the obvious admiration and envy in Cillian's eyes, Sophia felt a bit helpless for a moment.
But mostly, she was pleased.
She took out some food from her bag and handed it to Cillian. "You probably haven't eaten in days. Eat up."
The moment he saw the food, Cillian's eyes lit up.
"You're amazing! You must be heaven-sent to save me. No wonder Grandpa says you're the White family's lucky star!"
Cillian wolfed down the food while showering her with praise.
Sophia's lips curved slightly. "Eat slowly, don't choke. I have more in my bag."
Cillian was deeply moved, looking at Sophia with teary eyes, gratitude practically overflowing. "Sophia, you're so good to me! I declare, from now on, you're my family - even if we're not blood-related!"
Sophia: "..."
That statement seemed fine, she supposed.
Sophia glanced at him, thinking to herself: I should be your boss.
You're my cash cow - if something happened to you, who would make me money?
But on the surface, Sophia maintained her calm, composed expression.
Watching the interaction between Sophia and Cillian, Sawyer was stunned.
What... was going on?
Could it be that what Sophia said was true?
Had Sophia really married Benjamin?
His gaze fell on Cillian, full of shock and disbelief.
Was this constantly whining Cillian really the same cold, heartless male celebrity with countless fans?
Cillian's bad temper was famous in the industry - even senior veterans could get cursed out if he didn't like them.
But now, he was acting cute toward Sophia for some food?
Was he hearing this right?
His gaze shifted to Sophia's face, his heart sinking. "Sophia, this... how can this be? Tell me this isn't real, right? You're lying to me, aren't you?"
Cillian paused slightly in his eating, then looked at Sawyer with cold eyes, his voice full of mockery. "Sawyer, Sophia suffered so much in the Brown family, and now you still think she's deceiving you? It's one thing for you Browns to be blind, but how are you also so good at twisting the truth?"
Sawyer was left speechless.
Just then, footsteps echoed from the cave entrance again.
Cillian instinctively shut his mouth, spreading his arms to shield Sophia behind him, staring alertly toward the entrance.
Sawyer and Sophia also looked over.
Soon, a tall figure slowly walked in.
By the flashlight's beam, Sophia could make out the figure at the entrance and the face.
"Honey!" Sophia stood up and ran toward the entrance.
The tall figure paused slightly, then opened his arms and pulled Sophia into his embrace.
His strong, powerful arms gradually tightened, holding Sophia close as if wanting to merge her into his own body, his deep eyes showing fear and tension.
"You worried me to death. I thought you..."
Benjamin buried his face in Sophia's shoulder, his chin gently rubbing against it.
Sophia pressed her cheek against Benjamin's chest, hearing the tension and tremor in his voice, and hugged him back. "Honey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Don't do this again." Benjamin's arms around Sophia loosened slightly, but he still wouldn't let go.
He lowered his eyes, which flickered with deep, dark light.
Sophia nodded obediently and pulled him into the cave.
"Honey, how did you get here? Didn't I say I'd be back soon?"
Benjamin let Sophia lead him, his gaze falling on their clasped hands, tightening his grip on her fingers.
"I was worried about you. With such heavy rain here, I couldn't rest easy." Benjamin sat down next to Sophia, his eyes following her movements as she opened her backpack, unable to see anything else.
Sophia was wearing a waterproof jacket that wrapped her petite body tightly, the zipper pulled up to her chin, revealing only her delicate, fair face.
There was a smudge of mud on her cheek from somewhere, but it didn't make her look disheveled at all - instead, it added a kind of messy beauty.
If not for the others present, Benjamin would have wanted to pull her into his arms and kiss her thoroughly, properly punishing this disobedient Sophia.
"Benjamin, you came to save me? I knew you wouldn't abandon me!"
Cillian suddenly stood up and lunged toward Benjamin.
The usually stubborn Cillian now had red-rimmed eyes, looking extremely wronged.
When he had the fever, his head was dizzy and heavy, and he had no strength in his body.
For a moment, he really thought he was going to die.
Fortunately, Sophia appeared.
She gave him medicine, and now he felt like he had endless energy.
Hearing Cillian's voice, Benjamin instinctively shifted to the side, dodging his embrace.
Cillian missed and nearly fell to the ground, turning to look at Benjamin with a resentful expression.
"Look at you being so pathetic. When we get out, don't tell anyone you're my brother."
Embarrassing.
Benjamin looked disgusted. His chest was reserved for Sophia.
His brother?
Forget it.
Cillian was dumbfounded, unable to believe that Benjamin, who shared his blood, could be so heartless.
He pouted and turned his gaze to Sophia, complaining quietly: "Sophia, look at Benjamin - isn't he too cold? I'm his real brother!"
Sophia raised an eyebrow, without a trace of sympathy in her eyes, finding it rather amusing instead.
"Benjamin has a cleanliness obsession. Try to understand."
Cillian: "What?"
Cillian looked down at his jacket. While it wasn't exactly clean, it didn't have much mud on it either.
At least less mud than what was on Sophia.
Benjamin just found him disgusting.
Could this world get any worse?
Benjamin's cold gaze swept over him once, and he agreed: "You really are too dirty. Go home and wash up properly. If your fans saw you like this, they'd probably unfollow you in droves."
As he spoke, he took out his phone from his pocket, opened the camera, aimed it at Cillian, and snapped several photos.
Don't think he hadn't noticed.
When he first arrived, he happened to see Cillian pulling on Sophia's sleeve, his face full of joy, saying something.
Thinking about this, Benjamin suddenly felt a twinge of jealousy.
He pulled out a wet wipe from his pocket and wiped the mud from Sophia's hands and face, then wiped the spot where Cillian had pulled on her clothes.
He didn't even spare the spaces between Sophia's fingers.
