Chapter 162 New House

Chapter 163 Adorable

"Want to sit on it and try?" Benjamin took in every bit of Sophia's expression, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.

Sophia immediately sat down. The rocking chair was specially covered with soft cushions, and the moment she leaned back, Sophia felt incredibly comfortable.

She squinted her eyes contentedly, her little feet swinging with excitement.

Sophia's fair little feet with a hint of pink looked even more crystal clear under the sunlight, white as jade and very delicate.

Benjamin stood behind her, his eyes deepening slightly. His gaze swept over casually, then withdrew without a trace.

Sophia slowly opened her eyes, looked up at Benjamin, and tugged at his hand. "Sit with me."

The rocking chair was big enough for two people. Plus, Sophia was already slim and petite, so adding another person was no problem at all.

Benjamin let her hold his hand and sat down on the rocking chair. Their bodies pressed tightly together, fitting perfectly.

Benjamin could clearly smell the faint fragrance coming from Sophia. Her unique sweet scent mixed with a hint of medicinal fragrance, creating a special aroma.

It had a calming effect on one's mind.

Benjamin leaned back on the rocking chair, slowly closing his eyes. His cheek nestled into Sophia's graceful and delicate neck, taking a gentle sniff, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curve up.

Sophia boldly raised her fair, slender arm and wrapped it around Benjamin's neck. "Mr. White, I really love this place. Thank you."

"I should be the one thanking you. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. Sophia, promise me that if the poison acts up again, you won't hide it from me, okay?"

Just thinking about how Sophia might be suffering from the poison's effects somewhere he couldn't see, Benjamin felt like an invisible hand was tearing a gash in his heart. It hurt so much.

Sophia tilted her head and pondered for a while, then slowly nodded. "I promise what happened at the banquet won't happen again."

"I'll trust you one more time." Benjamin curled his finger and gently tapped Sophia's nose. His eyes overflowed with tenderness and affection.

Sophia smiled and rubbed her nose, burying her face in Benjamin's chest.

"Sophia, I have another gift for you."

Benjamin patted her shoulder, then got up and walked to the bedside table. He opened the second drawer and took out a very elegant sapphire blue gift box.

From the size of the box, it looked like a jewelry box.

Soon, Sophia's guess was confirmed.

Benjamin walked over with the gift box and slowly knelt down in front of Sophia, handing the box to her.

The gift box was opened, revealing a set of blue diamond jewelry lying inside.

The dazzling sapphire reflected brilliant light under the sun, so beautiful that one couldn't look away. It was surrounded by a circle of small diamonds arranged in a heart shape, giving off a feeling of being the center of attention without overshadowing the main gem.

More than that, they complemented each other perfectly.

Sophia gasped, a hint of amazement showing in her eyes.

"It's gorgeous!"

Sophia had seen countless gems and jewelry. Her master and three senior brothers would buy anything beautiful they saw and give it to her without hesitation.

But this sapphire before her was clearly the best of the best, breathtakingly beautiful, impossible to look away from.

Benjamin looked up at the charming smile on her lips and smiled too.

"Do you like it?"

"Is this for me?" Sophia came back from her surprise, her cheeks gradually flushing.

If Matthew knew she was so easily impressed that she stared at a sapphire for so long, he would definitely laugh at her.

But Benjamin seemed not to notice the blush on Sophia's face. His slender fingers picked up the necklace, lifting it from the jewelry box. "Want me to put it on for you?"

"Okay."

Benjamin's dark eyes seemed to have infinite magic. Sophia nodded without thinking.

Benjamin slowly stood up, walked behind her, and put the necklace on Sophia's neck.

Sophia's fair, slender neck had graceful lines, seeming almost translucent under the sunlight, incredibly beautiful.

Benjamin unconsciously held his breath, his movements becoming even gentler, afraid he might startle her.

The metal chain felt slightly cool as it unexpectedly settled on Sophia's collarbone. The cold sensation spread to her skin, making Sophia shiver slightly, though she quickly recovered.

Soon, Benjamin finished putting on the necklace and walked around to the front.

He lowered his eyes, his gaze as deep as a cold pool under moonlight, full of amazement.

"Does it look good?"

Sophia blinked her clear eyes, asking with anticipation.

Benjamin leaned down, his warm fingertips gently brushing over her collarbone. His eyes deepened, and his sexy Adam's apple rolled almost imperceptibly.

"Beautiful." His low voice carried a hint of huskiness.

"This color suits you very well."

The sapphire blue complemented her skin tone, making Sophia's fair, delicate skin look even more smooth like cream.

Sophia could totally pull off this necklace.

Hearing Benjamin's praise, Sophia's lips curved up slightly, her misty eyes sparkling with joy.

"Of course! Don't you know who I am!"

Sophia lifted her chin, her small face full of pride.

So cute.

Benjamin's hands at his sides curled slightly. His hands were itching, wanting to pinch her cheeks.

But in the end, he held back.

Some things needed to be taken slowly.

He couldn't upset Sophia.

Sophia didn't notice the change in Benjamin's expression at all. She looked down at the necklace around her neck, unable to let it go.

After a long while, she reluctantly looked up. "Honey, did you kick Amelia and Magnolia out of the White Manor?"

"Matthew told you?" He knew this couldn't be hidden from Sophia, and he didn't plan to hide it from her either.

"Yes. They won't hurt you anymore. And Celestia, I've already told Chase to cut off her bank card starting next month."

Mentioning Celestia, a cold glint flashed in Benjamin's eyes.

Celestia was spending his money while scheming against his wife, and still thought she could get away with it?

Did she think Benjamin was a fool?

"I hope she learns her lesson. If there's a next time, I won't be polite to her anymore."

Before, she kept giving in to Celestia only out of respect for Preston. That didn't mean she was afraid of Celestia.

From the beginning, her marriage to Benjamin was just a transaction.

Preston needed a woman to bring Benjamin new luck, and she needed an excuse to completely leave the Brown family.
