Chapter 15 Do Something Interesting
Sophia thought she was being quiet enough not to wake Benjamin beside her.
But then her foot hit something solid.
Confused, she pressed her foot against it cautiously.
The warmth was irresistible.
Sophia, who was always cold, couldn't help but be surprised at the heat radiating from Benjamin.
Why was Benjamin so warm?
A second later, a warm hand wrapped around her slender ankle, and Benjamin's eyes suddenly opened. "Sophia."
"What?" Sophia blinked guiltily, trying to pull her foot back.
But Benjamin's grip was strong, and she couldn't break free.
"What are you doing?" Benjamin's voice was deep and husky, like a cello, with a hint of helplessness.
Sophia smiled and snuggled closer, wrapping her arms around his waist while he was unguarded. "Babe, I can't sleep."
"Close your eyes and relax."
Sophia added, "Still can't sleep."
Her toes curled slightly, and Sophia gave a mischievous smile. "Babe, you can't sleep either, right? How about we do something fun?"
Benjamin, hearing this, seemed to be startled, quickly releasing her ankle. His ears, hidden in the darkness, suddenly turned red.
His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and his voice was a sexy, low murmur. "What... fun thing?"
Sophia gave a mysterious smile, jumped out of bed, and grabbed Benjamin's phone from the bedside table. "Babe, can I borrow your phone?"
Benjamin frowned. "Where's your phone?"
Sophia looked puzzled. "I don't have one."
Her previous phone had been broken by Isabella, who had promised to replace it with a new one. But until Sophia left the Brown Villa, Isabella never mentioned it again.
Clearly, Isabella never intended to keep that promise.
Thinking about the Browns, Sophia pouted and cursed them silently in her heart.
Benjamin heard this and couldn't help but frown, his tone icy. "The Browns didn't even get you a phone?"
He knew Sophia had a hard time with the Browns, but didn't expect them to be so indifferent to their own daughter.
Looking at Sophia, Benjamin felt a pang of pity.
He reached out and gently stroked her hair, whispering, "It's okay, I'll get you a new one tomorrow."
Sophia's eyes lit up. "I want one just like yours, with the same specs!"
Benjamin's phone was the latest top-of-the-line model this year.
Sophia had heard about the IQ brand from Matthew; it was the premier phone brand in the country.
Benjamin's model was a limited pre-sale edition, fully equipped with top specs and enhanced security features.
Benjamin managed the entire White Group, and his phone held many confidential documents and important information.
If these were leaked, it would be devastating for the White Group.
Sophia quickly navigated through the phone's screen.
Soon, the sound of a game starting came from the phone.
Benjamin leaned back against the soft pillows, the game sound effects filling the room.
Benjamin was speechless. "This is the fun thing you mentioned?"
Sophia didn't pause her rapid tapping, glancing at Benjamin. "Yep, wanna try? It's really fun. If you don't like this one, I've got other games. Take your pick."
Benjamin was speechless and a bit helpless.
He hadn't expected the seemingly delicate Sophia to be so fierce in gaming.
She was completely different from the Sophia who clung to his arm, acting coy during the day.
Benjamin didn't play games much, but the White Group had a gaming company.
He had participated in a beta test once.
Although the game seemed easy, it actually required significant skill and speed.
For Sophia, this game was a piece of cake.
Benjamin watched Sophia, his eyes filled with curiosity.
It was as if a mist surrounded Sophia, hiding her true self from prying eyes.
He couldn't help but smile slightly.
This was getting more interesting.
Sophia contentedly finished two rounds of the game. When she turned around, she saw Benjamin leaning against the bed, staring at her with deep eyes, lost in thought.
Looking into Benjamin's deep gaze, Sophia suddenly remembered she had forgotten something important.
The next second, a teasing voice reached her ears. "Did you have fun?"
Sophia replied, "Babe, let me explain."
"Not listening!" Benjamin huffed, pulling the blanket over himself and turning his back to Sophia, looking like he was sulking.
That back, with an unspoken sense of grievance.
Sophia scratched her head in confusion and quickly moved closer, carefully tugging at the blanket. "Babe, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ignored you!"
"Babe, are you mad?"
"Babe, babe, don't be mad at me..."
Benjamin, with his back to Sophia, had a slight smile on his tightly pressed lips.
Seeing she had suffered enough, Benjamin slowly turned around.
He had intended to ignore Sophia for a while for neglecting him for a game, but he hadn't expected her to be so amusing.
Sophia's eyes were red, as if she would cry at any moment.
Benjamin panicked and quickly moved closer. "I'm not mad, really."
"Don't cry."
Sophia sniffed, and the tears in her eyes vanished instantly, surprising him.
She looked up, blinking her beautiful eyes, showing no trace of sadness. "Really? You're the best, babe."
Benjamin was stunned for a moment before realizing he'd been tricked.
He shook his head helplessly, muttering "liar," then pulled the blanket over Sophia, covering her from head to toe. "Sleep."
Caught off guard, Sophia's vision was blocked. She slowly peeked out from under the blanket, her big eyes darting around. "Babe, goodnight."
The only response was Benjamin's steady breathing.
She didn't mind, just stared at Benjamin's handsome profile for a long while.
