Chapter 125 Confession
In Benjamin's eyes, no one in the Brown Family was any good except Sophia.
"Now you know regret? Where were you before? If she hadn't met me, hadn't met the White Family, do you know what would have happened to Sophia?" Benjamin questioned coldly.
Flynn's body stiffened hard, his eyes full of pain.
He slowly covered his eyes, feeling them sting with sourness.
His eyes couldn't help but redden, his heart feeling like it was being violently torn apart.
The pain was extreme.
He knew.
How could he not know?
If Sophia hadn't met Benjamin, as a girl from the countryside with no family backing her up, she would have had no ability to survive in a top-tier wealthy family like the White Family.
She would have been at the mercy of others.
If by chance...
If by chance Sophia had met a beast or someone with twisted habits, it would have been even worse.
Flynn slowly closed his eyes, not daring to think further.
Every time he recalled these things, Flynn felt extremely regretful.
Sophia was his real sister.
His blood-related sister!
But he had given all his love to another girl.
He had even made things difficult for her and insulted her for Isabella's sake.
What the Brown Family owed her could never be repaid in this lifetime.
But still, he wanted to see Sophia with his own eyes.
He wanted to hear her say personally whether she was doing well at the White Family.
Benjamin didn't want to waste more words with him and prepared to drive away.
However, Flynn suddenly rushed forward, begging desperately: "Mr. White, I really know I was wrong. I owe Sophia an apology. I want to say it to her face."
"Still don't get it? If she really wanted to see you, would you be turned away again and again?"
Benjamin sneered coldly, his deep eyes full of coldness.
Don't judge others' pain when you haven't walked in their shoes.
He had never personally experienced the suffering Sophia had endured, so he had no right to make any decisions for her.
Whether Sophia was willing to forgive the Brown Family or not, he would support her.
But if the Brown Family's kindness toward Sophia was to drain her of benefits, he would never tolerate it.
"Sophia is doing very well at the White Family, you don't need to worry. As for those so-called hurts you mentioned, they only count as hurt when Sophia cares about them."
But now, Sophia no longer cared.
Because she understood that some people were destined to have no family bond.
Like her and the Brown Family.
Flynn stepped back sharply, his eyes full of disbelief.
He slowly shook his head, "No! It's not like that!"
They were her family.
How could she not care?
Benjamin impatiently tugged at his tie and said coldly: "If you want to keep waiting here, then wait. But I'm warning you, if you dare hurt Sophia again, I'll make you taste what it's like to wish you were dead."
Isabella's reputation and career were completely ruined.
The whole circle knew her true identity.
It turned out that Isabella, who had always presented herself as a socialite, was just a fake heiress adopted from an orphanage by the Brown Family.
Now, the real heiress had returned.
And Isabella, instead of being grateful for everything the Brown Family gave her, had viciously hurt and framed Sophia again and again.
Was this person really the pure, kind, and wonderful idol they had in their hearts?
Many fans began to doubt.
They unfollowed in droves and turned against her.
They even exposed many unknown scandals.
Combined with Benjamin and Matthew's operations, Isabella would never be able to make it in the entertainment industry again.
As for the Brown Family... Benjamin had plenty of ways to teach them a lesson.
"I won't hurt her again! Never again!" Flynn promised solemnly.
He had been wrong before.
He wanted to make it up to Sophia, wanted to apologize to her personally.
But now, Sophia didn't want to spare him another glance.
They were clearly blood-related siblings, yet they had become strangers.
Flynn felt like his heart was about to split open.
It hurt so much he could barely breathe.
"Better be that way."
Benjamin gave him a cold glance, then drove away.
Flynn stood there, watching Benjamin drive away, his eyes full of grief.
That Sophia could meet someone like Benjamin who wholeheartedly treated her well was heaven's blessing.
Flynn raised his hand to cover his face, hiding the pain and guilt in his eyes.
Thank goodness.
Thank goodness Sophia met Benjamin and not someone else.
Thank goodness she was happy now.
Otherwise, Flynn felt that even dying ten thousand deaths couldn't make up for it.
Flynn didn't know that at this moment, Sophia was standing upstairs watching him.
There wasn't a ripple in her eyes.
The Brown Family meant nothing more than strangers to her now.
Whatever happened before was over now.
And there would never be any connection again in the future.
Before, the Brown Family always felt that bringing her home was charity.
But without the Brown Family, she would only be better off.
"Mrs. White, Mr. Brown has been here several times these past few days. Do you want to go out and see him?"
Emma stood behind Sophia, asking with concern.
"No need. I've already gotten back what the Brown Family owed me. There's no need to meet again." Sophia's voice was cold.
Actually, she knew Flynn's purpose for coming here.
But some apologies came too late.
She no longer needed them.
Flynn stood outside waiting for a long time but never saw Sophia.
He couldn't help feeling disappointed.
Did Sophia really not want to forgive him anymore?
He looked deeply toward the villa one more time, then left reluctantly.
In the yard, Magnolia watched Flynn's gradually disappearing figure with an unreadable expression.
She asked puzzled: "Who's that young man outside? He looks somewhat familiar."
A servant behind her replied in a low voice: "He's Mrs. Sophia White's family member. That was the third young master of the Brown Family, Flynn."
"Then why not invite him in to sit?"
Magnolia felt it was strange.
The young man had stood at the White Manor gate for quite a while, his eyes constantly looking into the yard, as if waiting for something.
But he didn't say a word or try to break in.
Sophia had been at the White Manor all along but didn't go out to see Flynn.
"Mrs. Sophia White has cut ties with the Brown Family and doesn't want to see anyone from the Brown Family anymore," the servant explained.
Magnolia's eyes flickered slightly.
As if remembering something, the corners of her lips curved up slowly.
"Doesn't the Brown Family also have an adopted daughter?"
"Yes. That adopted daughter has a very vicious mind. I heard she constantly bullied Mrs. Sophia White when she was at Brown Villa. But fortunately, Mrs. Sophia White doesn't have to suffer anymore." The servant's tone was full of emotion.
Magnolia nodded knowingly and said nothing more.
She withdrew her gaze and turned to leave the courtyard.
Going upstairs, she happened to run into Sophia coming down.
She wore a simple yet charming off-shoulder dress, her shoulders full and rounded, her smooth skin seeming almost translucent.
She wore small white shoes, her whole being radiating youthful energy.
Her hair, originally draped over her shoulders, was tied in a ponytail with just two strands of loose hair casually hanging by her cheeks.
Her fair and delicate face looked tender enough to squeeze water from, her refined features like a painting, her lips glowing with an alluring sheen.
Every time, she exuded an indescribable beauty that made it impossible to look away.
Magnolia froze.
When she came to her senses, she realized she had been staring at Sophia in a daze.
