Chapter 56 The Line Crossed (Again)
Audrey swallowed hard. Her body trembled lightly. And Elliot didn't stop. His kisses deepened, even turning into a soft lick of the man's tongue on Audrey's sensitive skin.
"S-Sir…" The sensation made Audrey let out a soft moan, her voice almost uncontrollable. Her face flushed instantly, realizing the sound that came from her own lips.
"Don't call me that," Elliot whispered hoarsely, his hand gently tracing the woman's back.
The touch was both electrifying and scorching, making it harder for Audrey to fight the surging feelings.
Instinctively, Audrey's arms wrapped tighter around Elliot's body, she had even gripped the man's shirt so hard that it came slightly untucked from his pants.
His secretary's increasingly unexpected reaction made Elliot's hands more active, now resting on the woman's slender waist. He pulled Audrey's body closer until there was no distance left between them.
"Sir, w-wait…" Audrey said, her voice barely audible.
However, Audrey's body betrayed her will, especially as her senses were pampered by Elliot's heavy, warm breath mingled with his intoxicating scent, making it increasingly difficult for the woman to restrain herself.
But amidst the dominating passion, Audrey suddenly became aware. Her mind screamed, urging her to stop everything before they crossed the line. Trembling, she tried to push Elliot's chest away.
Of course, Elliot wouldn't back down. The man only paused for a moment to look into Audrey's eyes. In a matter of seconds, his strong arms moved, easily lifting Audrey's body.
"Sir! What are you—"
Before she could continue, Audrey was already in Elliot's arms.
Startled, Audrey spontaneously hugged the man's neck tightly, burying her flushed face in Elliot's broad chest. Her heart pounded fiercely, as if mercilessly hitting her ribcage.
"You're so light…" Elliot said in a low voice that sounded like a whisper, right into Audrey's ear, almost kissing it. The woman groaned softly again.
"It seems it won't be a problem if you're on top of me later," the man continued, making Audrey's head immediately lift, her eyes wide.
"Sir!"
The vulgar sentence uttered by Elliot brought forth shame, annoyance, but also something else—something Audrey couldn't explain—that made her feel hot again.
Elliot only looked at her with a faint smile, followed by a sharp glint in his eyes that made Audrey even more flustered.
The woman just bit her lip, not knowing what else to say. Her heart was racing. Undeniably, she felt safe in Elliot's embrace.
"Put me down," Audrey whispered, even though her arms were still tightly wrapped around Elliot.
Instead of putting her down, Elliot stared deeply at her. "If I put you down, will you run away from me again?" the man asked, challenging and demanding an honest answer.
Audrey couldn't answer. Her body remained still in the man's embrace, while her brain screamed for her to break free.
But did she really want to leave?
Slowly, Elliot walked toward his desk with Audrey still in his arms. The man carefully seated Audrey on the desk, as if the woman was something very fragile and precious.
Audrey tried to look away, her eyes refusing to meet Elliot's gaze, which felt too intense.
"Look at me," Elliot's voice was firm, full of authority.
Audrey, hesitantly, finally complied. Their gazes met, and in an instant, the world felt completely silent.
With a slow motion, Elliot took off Audrey's glasses and placed them on the table, his movements full of care. He remained fixated on the woman's slightly watery eyes, indicating the mixed feelings she still harbored.
Slowly, Elliot lowered his face, gently kissing both of Audrey's eyes alternately. His lips barely touched her skin as he whispered softly, "I apologize for my behavior last night…"
Audrey didn't answer. Her feelings were a mess. Her heart was racing, but she also felt tied by the warmth the man was giving her. Her hands reflexively squeezed Elliot's shirt, as if searching for a foothold to withstand the storm of emotions raging inside her.
Her initially hesitant fingers began to move, stroking Elliot's back, the small movement startling the man for a moment, but also making him increasingly lost in feelings he could no longer control.
Elliot's gaze returned to the reddish mark on Audrey's neck. He moved closer again, until his warm breath grazed the woman's skin.
"But I truly couldn't control myself…" his voice trembled softly, before he kissed the area again, this time deeper, as if wanting to reclaim it.
A small gasp escaped Audrey's lips, which she couldn't hold back. Her face was flushed deeply, but her body responded in an increasingly tempting way.
Her fingers again pulled Elliot's shirt, touching the slightly exposed skin of the man's back, creating a sensation that made Elliot jump, further igniting his passion.
"Shit, Auds! Don't do that…" Elliot hissed, his face flushed, restraining himself from exploding.
Unfortunately, Audrey's mind wasn't working properly. The woman instead stroked Elliot's increasingly exposed back.
Unable to hold himself any longer, Elliot impatiently cleared all the items on the table and pushed his secretary down.
Elliot looked at Audrey, who was now lying on the desk. Her hair was slightly messy, and her breathing was still irregular.
The woman's eyes radiated doubt mixed with feelings she couldn't hide. Her face was flushed, creating a beauty Elliot had never imagined before.
The man paused for a moment, gazing at the figure in front of him, as if to make sure all this was real.
"I always imagined your beautiful self in a state like this…" The words hung in the air, full of unspoken meaning. Elliot slowly brought his face closer, the distance between them almost disappearing. "But it turns out you are much more beautiful than my imagination all this time."
Without another word, Elliot moved closer, pushing away any doubt between them. His dark eyes met Audrey's gaze, which was still clouded with uncertain feelings, but clearly no longer resistant.
Their lips met again, this time more deeply. The kiss not only carried passion but also the tension that had been suppressed all this time, now released in every touch.
Audrey, who was initially hesitant, slowly responded. Her trembling hands rose, touching Elliot's arm, then moved to loop around the man's back.
The touch, although light, brought a warmth that spread to every nerve ending in Elliot's body, making the man lose even more control.
The man deepened his kiss, as if wanting to convey something he couldn't put into words. Their lips moved in sync, as if there were no tomorrow.
Audrey felt Elliot's fingers touching her back, giving a gentle sensation that made her body tense and groan simultaneously, before she finally allowed herself to sink into the moment.
Their breaths grew more irregular, small moans began to sound, beautifully mixing with the warm air around them.
When they separated for a moment, Elliot looked at Audrey's increasingly flushed face. Her long hair was more dishevelled, adding to her irresistible charm. The man held his breath, trying to regain control of himself, which was increasingly swept away.
However, before Elliot could take any further action, a sudden knock was heard at the door.
"Mr. Harrington, I apologize for the interruption, a guest would like to see you," Stu’s voice sounded from behind the door.
