Chapter 52 Collision Course
The atmosphere in the car grew warmer due to the sudden intensity exploding between them.
Audrey, who had only intended to stop the conversation, was now in a position she never imagined. She chose not to answer.
Unexpectedly, her other hand slowly reached out and touched Elliot's jaw, making the man flinch.
With an incredibly slow movement, Audrey's fingers began tracing and playing near Elliot's ear, making the man lose more of his control.
Elliot's eyes darkened further. His desire was now impossible to hide.
"Shit..." Elliot hissed hoarsely. In one quick motion, he grabbed Audrey's face, cupping her cheeks with both hands.
His lips met Audrey's.
It started soft, but instantly turned into a deep, passionate kiss, as if all the feelings Elliot had suppressed exploded at once.
Audrey was shocked, but her body was frozen. The warm touch of Elliot's lips was intoxicating, making her unable to think clearly. In a split second, she responded to the kiss, letting herself be swept away by the intense current.
Elliot's kiss grew deeper, more fervent. He shifted position, lowering Audrey's seatback until she was almost lying down.
The movement surprised Audrey, but she didn't resist. Instead, her body followed Elliot's every movement with complete trust.
Their breaths mingled, Elliot's hand slowly trailed down Audrey's neck, his fingers brushing the soft skin beneath her blouse. The touch ignited a wilder passion inside her, making her want to get closer, more connected.
"Auds..." Elliot whispered between kisses, his voice filled with an urgent need that was hard to explain.
Audrey gasped, her reddened lips parting briefly from the kiss to take a breath.
But Elliot didn't give her long. He attacked again with a more intense kiss. He couldn't even restrain himself as he moved down to her neck and nipped it, as if to claim the woman as truly his.
"S-Sir!" Audrey clutched Elliot's hair. "N-not there!"
Unfortunately, Elliot didn't care. The man even sucked mercilessly at her white neck, while his hand busied itself exploring Audrey's back, pulling her closer until their bodies were completely pressed together.
Every touch from Elliot, from his warm fingers to his gentle pressure, brought a sensation that made Audrey feel dizzy.
A warmth spread from her skin, burning slowly but not painfully. On the contrary, the feeling was intoxicating, as if Elliot's every movement was a melody seducing her body and mind.
Audrey's chest pounded hard, not only because of the existing intensity but also because of something deeper—a desire she had tried to hide deeply, which now surged uncontrollably.
Audrey was swept away in the passionate kiss, her lips following Elliot's rhythm without hesitation, her body naturally responding to every small pull and push the man gave. She even unconsciously let out a small moan, fueling Elliot's flames of passion.
Elliot's increasingly daring hand trailed along parts of her body no one had ever touched, making her body react instinctively.
However, amidst the rising wave of desire, something inside Audrey told her this wasn't right. She gasped, as if pulled from a dream.
Her body instantly tensed. She began to realize where they were, how the situation had escalated, and the potential consequences that might follow. Her previously passion-filled heartbeat now mixed with panic.
"S-Sir... wait," Audrey whispered softly, her breath catching. But the sound was swallowed by their intensity.
Elliot seemed not to hear. His hands and kisses grew bolder, deeper, and went further until Audrey finally held his wrist.
"SIR, STOP!" Audrey nearly screamed.
Elliot instantly froze. His breathing was heavy, his face only inches from Audrey's. His dark eyes met Audrey's reddened ones, reflecting the same emotional turmoil they both felt.
They were trapped in silence for an unknown length of time before awareness finally returned to Elliot.
Audrey closed her eyes for a moment, trying to compose herself, then looked back at Elliot, trying to be firm despite the underlying sadness.
"We can't..." Audrey paused because Elliot was looking at her so intently. "This... this is too far..."
Elliot remained silent before finally letting out a long sigh, straightening his body with evident frustration.
As he moved back, his head hit the car roof with a surprisingly loud thud, followed immediately by his knee slamming into the steering wheel. The horn let out a short, sharp BEEP that echoed through the silent parking garage.
"Argh! Damn it!" Elliot winced, clutching his throbbing head with one hand while rubbing his bruised knee with the other. The double impact left him seeing stars.
Audrey jumped, instinctively wanting to help, but she was still too nervous to move.
Elliot grimaced in pain, but the mixture of embarrassment, frustration, and physical discomfort on his face made the situation even more awkward. The powerful CEO who always moved with grace now looked completely discombobulated.
The man finally leaned back in his seat, his breathing still heavy, while Audrey lay stiffly, unable to do anything but watch his uncharacteristic clumsiness.
The atmosphere in the car was filled with an even greater tension than before, with only the sound of their heavy breathing audible. The silence stretched on until Elliot finally opened the door and got out of the car without a word.
After he left, Audrey hastily raised the car seat and smoothed out her slightly disheveled blouse from her boss's actions.
She suddenly rested her head on the steering wheel, her fingers tightly gripping the circle, then cursed softly with a trembling voice, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST DO, Audrey?!"
