Maggie's POV

I do not care what anyone thinks because at this moment, I already have what I want to do in mind.

Waiting patiently, I hoped Alexander would come back home fast.

But Ama cutting me off because of this? I never expected it. Maybe she'd always wanted to cut me off and was looking for a solid reason to do so. She knows better than not telling a soul about what I told her else I'd make her the talk of the town.

I heard a car drive into the compound and with hurried footsteps, I stood up to open the door hoping it could be Alexander but unfortunately, it wasn't him.

"Good afternoon?" I greeted the woman standing at the door with a questioning aura.

"Who are you?" Eyeing me from head to toe, it was well observed she couldn't hide her irritation. Judging from her looks, I could bet she's around my age. The only difference is that I'm younger and due looks more classy.

"Maybe I should be asking you that!" The audacity... Who does she think she is?

At the thought that she might b Alexander's mistress, I got infuriated and wanted to blast at her but decided to remain as calm as possible.

"Good day ma'am." The butler greeted and bowed behind me making me wonder what was actually happening.

"Who the hell is she?" The lady blurted out angrily.

"She's Mr's Sofia's mother." The butler confirmed.

Damn!

I hope it isn't what I'm thinking?

"Sofia's mother dressed this stupid? Are you practising prostitution in my son's house?" She snapped.

Whoops! I never expected that.

I just screwed up big time. I didn't realise or even think she was anyhow gonna be Alexander's mom.

I stared at her without knowing what to say. I was really tongue tied.

"You can't dress like this, like a slot in my son's house" she bragged, eyeing me up and down.

I silently prayed to the heavens that she wouldn't be an obstacle to my plans today. Instantly the only thing I had in mind right now was to apologise. So I did apologise to her.

We got inside and she was served lunch.

"If you are Sophia's mother where have you been all this while and why didn't you come for our wedding?" she asked me.

I thought of a quick lie to give but then nothing seem to form in my brain. It's felt like my brain just went blank all of a sudden well during that.

I was having issues with a woman and I needed to resolve the issues.

"Sophia didn't even tell me she was getting married" so I was very really happy I lied of course.

"I will not be around when Sophia would come back from work else I would have asked her myself to be sure".

When Alexander's mom said that my head snapped immediately she couldn't probably ask Sophia about that.

"And for the record, remove whatever you're wearing. It looks like a piece of rag. Take it off before my son comes back. I'm sure he's doesn't don't like it!" She shouted with an irritated look on her face. In order to get her good side, I apologize and immediately ran upstairs to change the clothes.

"Is Jake around"? She asked and the butler responded to her saying no.

That reminds me Jake is actually a hot guy even more hotter than Alexander but I don't know the sparkling I get that always makes me go for him despite the fact that he's my daughter's husband.

"I'll be leaving now" Alex mom said the moment I came down with the change quotes she scanned my body another.

"This looks much better on you", she nodded and walked out.

One thing about rich people is that hide so much because they always feel on top of the world. While I disgustingly looked at the door Jake came out giving me a question look, when I asked, he looked away like he was never looking at me in the first place.

He was walking out of me when I grabbed his clothes back he turned around opening his arms in the air.

How can I help you madam? He stated like he was reprimanding me and where do you think you're going without greeting me I questioned.

I needed no soothsayer to tell me that Jake doesn't value me and he sees me as nothing.

"If you could politely let go of my shirt you're rumbling it and as you can see I'm going somewhere".

Words died down in my mouth and it feels like my vocals could not form any sound at all.

Jake kept saying incoherent words till he went outside and drove off at high speed.

I kept checking my time to know when Alexander would come back from work because today of all days it's taking eternity for him to come back.

Oh damn I almost forgot I wouldn't want him to come back with Sofia just wish he would come back before her.

After a few minutes of sitting down in the parlour waiting for them they finally came back from work and Alexander looked so exhausted.

Thank goodness I changed the clothes that I was wearing so Sofi didn't look at me in a bad manner because the clothes I wore were not so revealing.

I guess tonight's plan will work perfectly well. Sophia hasn't seen anything bad or looked at me weirdly.

Sofia and Alexander worked into the house hand in hand the look on their face could tell you that they were really exhausted from the work today.

"Welcome back!" I greeted them and they just nodded their heads.

"Go upstairs and freshen up while prepare dinner for the both of you." I said and they obliged. I could see Alexander looking at me from the corner of his eyes while Sophia scanned me thoroughly before she went upstairs we her bags.

I have already prepared the food so I made sure to warm it before 7:00.

They cook came into the kitchen to assist me but i ask her to go take a rest as that was needed.

"Ma'am, you should be the one resting and not the other way around. Sir will get angry if he sees you in the kitchen." The cook named Isabel insisted but I wouldn't want her or anyone to ruin my plan all in the name of trying to carry out their jobs.

"Go inside I will take care of the dinner." I stated firmly and she slightly bowed her head and went inside just as I commanded.

"Damn!"
