EPILOGUE
Lucas “Daddy, Daddy, come see my castle!!!”
“Coming sweetie.”
It's been two years since Marie gave birth to the best miracles yet: Lara and Kendall. We moved to Hawaii because we decided that California had been a little too mean to us.
I moved my family as well as the headquarters of my company to Hawaii. My life has been much more peaceful since then. I looked at my children playing in the sand. Brandon and Brian are becoming men now, and at ten years old, they’ve made it their life's mission to chase away boys from their sisters. Shania is becoming quite a beauty herself; she is going to look like her mother. We have our work cut out for us when she gets older to explain her mother and why she’s so close in age to her sisters.
Lara and Kendall have proven to be quite mischievous at just 2 years old, and I know it will take more than the boys to keep them in line.
Marie walked up to us as I played with the kids. I stood up to meet her and pulled her into a hug, turning her around so we were both facing the kids.
“You remember our wedding day when I promised you a fairy tale?”
“Yeah?”
“How’s this for starters?”
“This is perfect, there is nothing more I could have asked for. There is nowhere I'd rather be. This IS my fairy tale."
I pulled her closer to myself and hugged her tighter. This wasn’t just her fairy tale, it was mine too.
And there was nowhere I'd rather be or anyone I'd rather experience this with, only her...Marie.
