Chapter 104 EPILOGUE
The pain of your absence was constant. In the garden of the house, lying in the hammock, the book rested on my lap. A lot has changed since your letter ten months ago. I took over the publishing house with praise, and we prospered increasingly. The merger with Forbs was a success, and soon Celdric became one of the active CEOs in decision-making.
Greg was my right-hand man, responsible for legal matters, security, and investigations. I couldn't believe it. Whenever I came home, I had the feeling that he would be there, waiting for me, with a glass of wine, half-naked, and his mischievous smile on his lips.
“You are missed, Patrick.” I whispered, closing my eyes as the breeze caressed my face. I hadn't been able to read the book until that moment. It seemed that reading your last words would be a farewell I was never prepared to say.
I hesitated for a while longer, then opened the book. In the dedication, my eyes filled with tears:
“For Mrs. Eva, for having raised and loved the sweetest and kindest woman I had the pleasure to love, may we, together from wherever we are, watch over and protect her. May our love for Elisabeth reach her until our next meeting.”
“I hate you for loving you so much, Patrick Morgan.” With trembling lips, I swallowed the lump in my throat and took a deep breath, beginning to read.
“Chapter 01: DISCOVERING MYSELF IN YOU. Your shyness was enchanting. I held myself back from taking you as soon as you entered my office, with your shy eyes and blushing skin. I breathed authoritatively, not because I was interested in your stories, but because I was interested in your mind, your mischiefs... Elisabeth, I longed to know you more intimately. I could no longer contain the desire I had for my secretary, who, despite being so serious, had a fascinating mind with hidden desires.”
“You were always shameless.” I smiled through my tears, remembering the day I entered his office to read the book aloud.
“And wasn't that what attracted you to me?” I heard his voice behind me. I dropped the book with trembling hands, hesitant to turn around, my eyes wide. Furthermore, I slowly turned my body, seeing Patrick standing there with a broad smile on his face. “Hello, my sweet Elisabeth.”
“Patrick?” I stammered, confused and frozen in place, as he opened his arms.
“You can come hug me. I guarantee I'm not a ghost.” He smiled even more. I stood up, running, jumping over the hammock, heading into his arms, hugging him so tightly, afraid that it was just a dream or a hallucination. “But if you keep squeezing me like this, I might become one.”
“You... You...” With wide eyes, I slowly looked up at him, tears streaming down my face. I caressed his face, sliding my fingers to his warm lips, and kissed him with a longing so deep. It was him in front of me with his hot and demanding mouth. I broke the moment, and both of us panted. “You're alive? But how?”
“Forgive me, Lis...” He stroked my hair, burying his nose in the curve of my neck and inhaling my scent. “I missed you.”
“Morgan...” I sighed, distressed. “Is this a dream?”
He laughed, amused. “No, my love, I'm back.” Patrick lifted my chin, kissing my lips sweetly, interrupting the moment.
“But the letter... The book...” I kept my confused eyes on him. “I don't understand.”
“I was on the brink of death. A friend of James is a scientist and mentioned a delicate study on cancer, an experimental treatment with a success rate of less than 1%. Honestly, the chances were higher than doing nothing. I debated the decision for a long time, but after meeting you, I couldn't give up on my life. I wanted... No, I want to be with you!” Patrick pulled my hand, leading me to the hammock and sitting next to me. “The chances of everything going wrong were high, I knew that, which is why I said goodbye... I'm sorry for making you suffer.”
“I don't understand... Why didn't you tell me?” I hit his arm hard, making him laugh even more. “Stop laughing, do you have any idea how much I suffered? What did I go through? How much does it hurt not being able to stay by your side?”
Patrick pulled me, lying down in the hammock. My light dress rode up a bit, revealing my legs and almost my pants. He eyed me up and down, wetting his lips with mischief, his hand wandering to the middle of my thighs, squeezing firmly.
“I didn't want you to see me wasting away. They used cryogenics on me, opened me up several times, and gave me various drugs I can't even remember the names of. I was more dead than alive, Elisabeth. And the only thing that kept me motivated to fight was the thought of returning to your arms.” Patrick slid his finger up, caressing over the fabric of my pants, massaging through the fabric, and awakening my intimate self, which hadn't known contact for a long time. “Always so receptive, apprentice.”
“Patrick...” I moaned as he pushed my pants aside, plunging one finger in, then another, pressing my sensitive spot with his thumb. “So, are you completely cured?”
“In a way, I still have cancer, but the tumors that could kill me were removed. I need to continue with heavy treatments, eat well, and do routine exams. Oh, and the doctor recommended a lot of sex to keep me strong.” He smiled arrogantly, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Really? Is that written on your medical prescription?” I raised an eyebrow, unable to hide the silly smile at having him back alive by my side.
“I can arrange for it.” Licking my lips, Patrick slid the dress strap off my shoulders, revealing more of my breasts, and fervently took my erect nipples into his mouth. I gasped at the warm sensation of his tongue sucking intensely and hungrily. “I missed you so much...”
I slid my hands over his chest, down his belly, to his awakened erection. I bit my lip, pushing him off and getting out from underneath. Furthermore, I got rid of my pants, throwing them in his face, making him hold them, smell them, and smile. I slowly took off my dress, stopping in front of him and pulling his shorts down along with his underwear, exposing his erect length for my bold actions.
“Now, Mr. Morgan, let me take care of you.” I ran my tongue from the base to the tip of his length, playing with kisses before provocatively sucking, licking, and stopping. “It's time for the apprentice to teach the teacher some lessons.”
