"What's going on here?" A voice cut in.
She lifted her head to see a man dressed in black. The dark brown tie matched the color of his eyes. A wireless earpiece sat on his left ear.
She didn't recognize him but she didn't need anyone to tell her he worked for Alpha Nolan. He had an impatient look in his eyes, and she could tell he was itching for a fight.
"Huh?" Stephen yelled over the music and turned around to see who was bothering him.
As soon as he caught sight of the overbearing Alpha who was significantly taller than him, he shrank and stepped to the side, smiling sheepishly before disappearing into the crowd.
"Are you Rosa?" He asked.
She narrowed her eyes. She was certain he didn't need to ask. He knew exactly who she was. "No?" she said with a small smile.
His left eyebrow twitched. He didn't like her joke. "This way."
She twisted her lips but went along with him. He was tall, almost as tall as Alpha Nolan but clearly less friendly.
She followed him up the stairs to the VVIP section. The music was booming all around them and people were crowding the DJ section.
Blue, red and warm lights flickered around the club. It was bright enough to see but low enough that people could get very comfortable in their sections.
Alpha Nolan was sitting in the middle of a couch in the VVIP. Two women clung to him from both sides. Two men stood directly behind him while three others sat down.
The three men all had omegas on their laps. The women were clinging to these men, caressing them and clearly trying to get them to be intimate.
Rosa did her best not to scrunch up her nose at the scent that permeated the space. With these many drunk Alphas and Omegas in one place, she expected nothing less.
Usually, she didn't smell the pheromones but if they were pretty intense, her nose could pick it up. Thankfully, it had no effect; it just smelled like really strong perfumes.
"Alpha Nolan," the man who brought her called.
"Luca," Nolan replied and slowly turned his head in their direction.
She stood back at the entrance of the section, clutching the coat as she watched. She hated being here and wanted nothing more than to turn around and leave.
"I brought her as requested."
"I see that," he whispered and his eyes lazily drifted to her.
She froze as their gazes met and she could feel him undressing her. She did her best to keep her expression neutral. Pleasing him was important; Franco would scold her if she did a bad job.
"Come closer," he ordered.
She gritted her teeth and did her best to ignore how sleazy he sounded. She couldn't begin to guess what he was getting at with this. She wasn't an omega; he should have no interest in her.
She walked up towards him and the women on his arms stared at her suspiciously. Rosa didn't recognize them; they must have come with him.
She stopped in front of him and his blue eyes watched her while he blew out rings of smoke. The cigar was about halfway done, held between his index and middle finger.
"Do you not know what you are here for?" He asked condescendingly.
The pay better be worth it.
She smiled and gripped the coat tighter, hiding her frame. She swayed from side to side in rhythm with the music.
He watched her with half-closed eyes as he took another whiff of the smoke. She caught the glint of the silver cross on his neck as he leaned back into the seat and spread his legs.
"Isn’t she the stripper who performed a moment ago?" one of the omegas asked the other. Her tone was insulting.
"I think so—" the second started to reply.
"Shut up!" Nolan cut in. "Get them away, Luca."
Luca moved immediately but he didn't take the women away from the section; rather, he moved them to a different seat. They glared at Rosa but kept their lips sealed.
She ignored the interruption as she kept dancing. Nolan's eyes hadn't strayed from her the entire time, not even when he dismissed the women.
She stepped forward, standing between his legs. She leaned forward and let go of the coat. It parted and as expected, his eyes fell to her body.
His eyes bulged ever so slightly. If she hadn't been looking, she would have missed it. He drew on the cigar again as he watched her place her hands on his thighs.
A private dance was inherently a lap dance. This was what he wanted and from the way he sat, he had expected as much.
She traced her fingers on his thighs, moving her hands upwards until she was hovering over him, her face a few inches away from his.
She straddled him as she leaned against his chest, moving her lips to the side of his neck but just as she would to touch him, she pulled back and slowly started to take off the coat.
