Chapter 73 Forced Love
Chapter 73 Forced Love
"Mr. Jones?" Willie froze.
David ignored him, swiped the room card to open the door, and strode right in.
Inside the room, Lily was sitting on the edge of the bed, head down, lost in thought. Hearing the door open, she assumed it was housekeeping and said without looking up, "No cleaning needed, thanks."
The next second, a large hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her up.
"Samuel?" Lily looked up in surprise. Before she could react, he had her pinned against the wall.
"So what if you don't want to see me? Why should I listen?"
"You..." Before Lily could finish, his lips sealed hers. The kiss came suddenly and forcefully, filled with possessiveness and aggression.
Lily's eyes widened. She instinctively tried to push him away, but David caught both her hands, trapping her entire body between the wall and himself.
Lily struggled, but he only kissed her deeper.
David's kiss carried a punishing edge, as if trying to take back every word she'd just said.
One hand pinned both of hers, while the other cradled the back of her head, giving her no chance to escape.
Lily gradually lost the strength to resist, tears streaming down uncontrollably again.
Feeling the wetness on her face, David finally softened. He released her lips, pressed his forehead against hers, his voice rough, "Don't cry."
Lily gasped for breath, "What... what are you doing..."
David cupped her face, looking seriously into her eyes, "I'm telling you, your opinion doesn't matter. But your name is on the same marriage certificate as mine. You're my wife. You have the responsibility and obligation to be with me. Don't even think about pushing me away."
Just outside the door, David had thought of many things to say, but facing Lily now, those words stuck in his throat. He couldn't get them out.
He couldn't say he cared about Lily. It was as if, as long as he didn't say it out loud, it wouldn't be real.
As if, as long as he didn't say it, he could keep a place in his heart for another girl.
That place was forbidden territory, off-limits to anyone.
He couldn't say those words, but he could say other things.
"Lily, whether you believe it or not, I've never treated you as a tool, and it's not to appease my mom."
Lily froze, "Then why did you..."
David didn't give her a chance to continue. He just lowered his head and kissed her again.
This time, the kiss wasn't as forceful as before. It became gentle and lingering, as if expressing feelings he couldn't put into words.
Lily unconsciously closed her eyes, responding to his kiss.
Her hands, freed at some point, now wrapped around his neck, actively deepening the kiss.
Sensing her response, satisfaction flashed in David's eyes. He swept her up in his arms and strode toward the sofa on the other side.
"Don't," Lily suddenly remembered something, "Olivia is still..."
"She's sound asleep." David placed her on the sofa and leaned over her, "Besides, I'll be very quiet."
Lily's face instantly turned bright red. "What... what do you think you're doing?!"
David looked at her shy expression, amusement flickering in his eyes. He lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "Solving our conflict the adult way."
"You..." Lily tried to object, but was silenced by his kiss again.
Just then, Olivia suddenly rolled over in bed and mumbled, "Lily... stop kissing... I'm still here..."
Lily and David both froze.
After a few seconds, Lily's face turned completely red. She wanted to crawl into a hole.
David remained calm, with just a hint of helplessness and amusement in his eyes.
"Is she awake?" Lily whispered.
"Probably just talking in her sleep," David said.
Sure enough, Olivia's breathing soon became steady again, clearly still fast asleep.
Lily breathed a sigh of relief, then heard David whisper in her ear, "How about we switch rooms?"
"In your dreams!" Lily immediately pushed him away and started straightening her disheveled clothes. "I told you I'm staying with Olivia tonight. And don't think acting like a jerk means I'll forgive you! You still haven't told me where you were today when I was being bullied!"
David felt frustrated. How did the topic circle back to this damn question?
He really couldn't say!
Tell her he was "David"? Tell her he'd been there all along?
David fell silent.
Seeing him like this, Lily's heart went cold again. She pushed him away forcefully and stood up. "Forget it, I don't want to hear your excuses. I'm tired. Leave. I need to rest."
David stepped forward and hugged her from behind. "Stop being angry, okay?"
"Let go of me." Lily struggled.
"No." David held her tighter. "Lily, there are some things I really can't say right now. But you have to trust me—I haven't done anything to wrong you."
"Then where were you today?" Lily remained relentless.
David was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Lily's eyes widened. She tried to push him away, but he only kissed her deeper.
While kissing her, David swept her up in his arms and strode toward the door.
"What are you doing!" Lily finally broke free and cried out, "Put me down!"
"Going home," David said curtly.
"I'm not going! I'm staying with Olivia!" Lily struggled.
"Willie will take care of her." David carried her into the elevator without discussion.
"This is kidnapping! This is...!"
Her words were blocked by his kiss again.
In the elevator, David pressed her against the wall, kissing her dominantly, giving her no chance to speak.
The elevator doors opened. He carried her toward the parking garage. Lily tried to speak several times, but he precisely silenced her with kisses each time.
"Samuel, you...!"
"I don't want...!"
"Let go...!"
Eventually, Lily didn't dare open her mouth anymore, because she knew that the moment she did, he would kiss her.
David tucked her into the car, got in himself, and started the engine.
Inside the car, Lily glared at him with a flushed face. "You're too much!"
"Yes, I am," David admitted readily.
This move caught Lily completely off guard. She wanted to question him angrily, but didn't dare ask. Her lips were already sore—she really didn't want to be kissed again.
Though his technique was actually pretty good...
'Stop, stop, stop thinking about it!'
