Lily looked up at him. Those words had just slipped out.
Dennis's calm heart suddenly skipped a beat.
His throat moved slightly: "Lily, don't just casually tell men you'll take responsibility. That's something men should say."
Lily also realized her words were a bit inappropriate, as if she were hinting at something.
She nervously lowered her eyelids: "Don't get me wrong, I didn't mean anything by what I just said. You're my friend, and I definitely can't let you get dragged into this because of me."
"I understand."
Dennis looked up at the hospital: "So what are you planning to do?"
"I want to talk to Ethan myself."
"Let's go."
Lily looked at his back in surprise and jogged to catch up: "You don't need to come. I'll go by myself."
If Dennis went, he would definitely be put in a difficult position.
She didn't want him to be hassled.
"Lily, wait for me."
Michael caught up. He hadn't expected Lily to just take a taxi and leave on her own. Her stubborn temper had him chasing after her all this way.

She walked into the elevator with a stern face.
Dennis followed beside Lily, feeling a bit soft-hearted: "This isn't that difficult. Don't get so worked up."

Michael really looked down on this school doctor. Maybe he had some skills and talked big.

Michael thought this was a good opportunity to let Lily see that this school doctor was nothing, just full of empty promises and sweet talk.

Dennis saw Lily's expression: "I can go in with you."
Ethan knew him.

Michael disagreed: "Lily, can you be rational?"
Lily ignored Michael and walked angrily toward the hospital room.
She pushed open the door, and Sophie's surprised voice came from inside: "What? Ethan, you're not going to pursue this matter anymore?"
"That's right. I was the one who threw the first punch at the bar that day. I was in the wrong. Besides, they compensated me with some money, so let's just drop it."
Ethan's expression was somewhat unnatural: "Besides, isn't Lily from the Roberts family? Pursuing this won't do you any good either."

You didn't say that before. Why did you change your mind after meeting that person?
Ethan looked up: "Sophie, I'm only letting this go out of respect for you."

Sophie deliberately said, "Lily, you need to have a good talk with that school doctor when you get back. Tell him not to be so impulsive in the future. Not everyone is as generous and forgiving as Ethan."
Michael nodded: "Sophie, I knew you were sensible. Thanks to you this time."
Austin looked at Lily: "Stop hanging around with that school doctor. Move back home. The family won't treat you like before anymore. Stop being stubborn, okay?"
Lily laughed coldly.
She looked at Austin: "Stop daydreaming. I have nothing to do with you people. Don't try to control me."
Austin was about to lose his temper when Michael stopped him and said, "Lily, let's just leave this matter as it is. You did so well on the exam this time. The family is planning to throw you a grand celebration party. Whatever ideas or requests you have, just say them. Michael will make it happen for you."
Sophie, beside them, was so jealous that she was twisting her fingers, feeling extremely bitter.
She wouldn't let Lily be so smug. What, first place—Richard and Lily must have cheated together.
Lily's eyes were full of mockery, making Michael's heart suddenly sink.
She took two steps back: "My celebration party? Where do you get the nerve to throw one? Based on how you held me back before and forced me to skip classes to play games?"
"Lily, your words are too harsh."
"There are even harsher ones. Who are you? What right do you have to throw me a celebration party!"
Austin answered loudly: "Because I'm your brother!"
