Chapter 215: Peter, You're Dead This Time
Lily glanced at the door, suddenly lost in thought. Maybe it was time to end all this.
She knew Peter's personality well. If she kept refusing to apologize, this would never end.
Since she'd already gotten the clues from David, there was no need to hold back anymore.
That evening, they were shooting the night scenes.
The location was an abandoned building, filming a scene where the supporting actress deliberately lures the female lead there, putting her in danger, only for the male lead to rescue her.
After filming, Lily waited to remove her makeup, but the makeup artist ignored her.
She could tell that the crew had a big problem with her.
Sophie had definitely been adding fuel to the fire and bad-mouthing her, but she didn't care, she had no interest in staying in the entertainment industry anyway.
After everyone gradually left, Lily had no choice but to squeeze out some makeup remover herself, clean off her makeup, and leave on her own.
"Lily, stop right there!" Peter's face was dark as he stared at her, his eyes cold and threatening. "I heard you've been collecting dirt on me, planning to expose it and destroy my reputation?"
Lily saw the electric baton in Peter's hand and cautiously stepped back a few paces.
She asked, "Who told you that?"
"Who told me doesn't matter, but today I'm going to teach you a lesson. You better not run, or you're dead."
Lily turned and ran.
Peter wasn't alone, there were ten tattooed men with him.
By now, most of the crew had left. No one would come to this abandoned building.
"Lily, you can't escape. Just come back and apologize to me, and I'll go easy on you."
Peter walked while talking. "But if you insist on running, don't blame me for what happens next."
After running for a while, Lily found herself surrounded by tattooed men coming from all directions.
She looked back at Peter approaching. "Looks like after all these years, Peter, you haven't changed. Whenever things don't go your way, you like to hit people."
"When you didn't listen as a kid, I hit you for your own good," Peter said, walking slowly toward Lily with his baton.
He smiled coldly. "Run. Why did you stop running?"
Lily's voice changed noticeably. "You're a big star now. Aren't you afraid of losing your reputation if you hit me?"
"As long as what you have doesn't get exposed, I'll never lose my reputation."
Peter came up to Lily. "I'm hitting you now to set you straight. While I've been away, you've made such a mess at home. Tell me, were you wrong or not?"
"I wasn't wrong." The moment Lily finished speaking, Peter swung the baton at her.
Lily clutched her arm and fell to the ground. Looking at Peter approaching, she said, "They're the ones who broke the law. What does it have to do with me?"
"Lily, you always thought the family played favorites, but look at what you've done."
"All I know is I got excellent college entrance exam scores, but you made me stay local and go to an ordinary university. Is this what you call 'for my own good'?" Lily stared at Peter. "Well, if this kind of 'good' is so great, do you want it?"
"Lily, you dare talk back? Family doesn't work like that. I see you still need to be taught a lesson."
Peter didn't hesitate to strike.
He'd been waiting for this moment for too long.
Lily raised her hands to protect herself, her voice breaking. "Peter, stop hitting me, it hurts so much."
"Now you know it hurts? Too late. Weren't you so cocky before, Lily?"
"Peter, I'll listen, okay? I'll do whatever you say. I can drop out of Quest University and go back home. I'll listen to you from now on."
Lily lay on the ground, her hands covering her head, looking like she was begging for mercy.
Hearing Lily's pleading voice, Peter felt a rush of excitement.
See, there's no sister who can't be taught - just like when they were kids, one beating and she'd behave.
Peter stopped and crouched in front of Lily. "See? I warned you so many times not to mess with me. But you wouldn't believe me. Now you know it hurts, right?"
Lily covered her face, still crying.
Peter's lips curved slightly, his voice gentle. "Stop crying. I'm just teaching you a lesson; I won't actually kill you. You're my only sister."
Lily suddenly moved her hands away - there were no tears on her face.
She looked at Peter in front of her and broke into a bright smile.
When Peter saw the smile on Lily's face, he suddenly had a bad feeling.
He frowned. "What are you smiling about? Haven't had enough?"
At that moment, Sophie scrambled up the stairs, out of breath. "Peter, video - she recorded a video."
Peter's face changed dramatically when he heard this.
He looked down at Lily, pulled out the camera hidden in her collar, and stomped on it.
Peter's eyes were bloodshot. "You dare set me up! Lily, do you have a death wish?"
Lily pushed Peter's hand away. "The one who's finished now is you, not me."
"The video you just recorded, I've destroyed it. What are you going to threaten me with?"
Peter calmed down, stomped on the camera again, and bent down to look for the memory card.
Sophie beside him was crying anxiously. "Peter, she was livestreaming. Lots of people already saw it."
Destroying the camera now was useless.
"What? Livestreaming?"
Peter's face went pale with fear. How was this possible?
Only then did he take out his phone - countless missed calls from his agent, and messages warning him that Lily was livestreaming.
But earlier, wanting to properly teach Lily a lesson, he'd put his phone on silent.
He hadn't received any warnings.
Peter's hands began to shake, a huge wave of panic washing over him.
If it were a livestream, given Lily's follower count, it had probably spread across the entire internet already.
Peter broke out in a cold sweat. He'd never been this scared in his life.
He was done for. Completely done for.
He knew the rules of this industry better than anyone - this kind of negative news was basically a death sentence.
Lily slowly got up from the ground, accidentally pulling at her injuries. She sucked in a breath.
To make the act look real, she'd actually taken a few real hits.
But Dennis had taught her self-defense before - how to protect herself in situations like this and minimize the damage.
Lily looked up at the sweating Peter. "How was my acting just now?"
"Lily, are you crazy? How does destroying me benefit you!" Peter's voice had changed, trembling slightly.
Sophie also rushed over to accuse her. "Lily, Peter's been so good to you, protecting you since childhood, and you want to destroy him?"
If Peter really lost his reputation, all the resources he'd promised her would be gone.
That bitch Lily actually dared to livestream and expose everything.
Lily looked at them and laughed out loud. "Sophie, since you think he's so good to me, why don't you try taking a few hits yourself?"
Sophie immediately shrank back. "I've always listened to Peter."
Peter walked toward Lily in disbelief, his eyes red. "Lily, this is the second time. That time when we were kids, you almost got me killed, and now you want to destroy me again?"
"Second time? Then tell me what the first time was!" Lily didn't want to be wrongly accused.
