Chapter 212 Peter Deliberately Made Things Difficult
Lily shook off Peter's hand with a sharp force.
Her tone was cold, "But you've already let me down many times."
Peter was mindful of the fans around them, so he didn't dare do anything.
But his voice turned much colder, "Lily, tell me, when have I ever let you down? When we were kids, and you got bullied, didn't I help you out every single time?"
"You helped me? But those people only bullied me because of you. All the danger came from you."
Lily's eyes were full of mockery, "Don't play the brother card with me. You don't deserve it."
After saying that, Lily turned and walked toward the team base.
Peter was furious. Didn't he deserve it?
Back then, he almost got stabbed to death, and didn't Lily just turn around and run away?
Sophie saw Lily leave, and she said to the fans with fake concern, "Everyone, please don't misunderstand. Lily's been a bit busy lately, and the issues with her family haven't been completely resolved yet, so that's why she's acting this way."
Some fans were unhappy, "But Lily shouldn't be so arrogant. She made the crew wait for so long."
"Exactly, I even saw Lily losing her temper at Peter."
Sophie deliberately sighed, "Lily's always had that kind of temper. At home, we usually just indulge her."
At that moment, Peter walked over, "Sorry, Lily has a stubborn personality. She's not as considerate as Sophie, but she's really talented. Trust me on this, and please don't hate her."
When the fans saw Peter come over, they instantly screamed in excitement.
After Peter smiled and greeted them, he took Sophie back under the sun umbrella. With his back to the fans, the smile on his face immediately faded, "Who told you to talk nonsense?"
"Peter, I was just trying to explain things for you. Otherwise, Lily's behavior just now would definitely have a negative impact on you."
"The worse Lily's attitude toward me is, the better it is for me." Peter had been in the entertainment industry for years and understood these public opinion tactics well.
He stared at Sophie, "As for you, if I catch you playing these little tricks again, deliberately smearing Lily's name, you can leave the Roberts family!"
"Peter, I really didn't."
Peter gripped Sophie's hand hard and lowered his voice, "Do you think your tricks can fool me? If there weren't people around, I would've taught you a lesson already."
Sophie endured the pain in her wrist and nodded pitifully, "I know I was wrong. I won't dare do it again."
"There won't be a next time."
Peter let go of Sophie's hand and immediately changed his expression, smiling as he greeted the crew, "My sister Lily is here. Let's go shoot inside the base."
Sophie stood there, rubbing her wrist.
She hadn't expected Peter to be so difficult to deal with. Well, when she was first brought into the Roberts family, Peter never paid much attention to her anyway.
If it hadn't been for that time when Peter got injured, and she deliberately stirred things up by saying Lily had run away, Peter probably wouldn't have even looked at her.
As long as she became famous through acting and became a big star with both fame and fortune, she'd see who would dare look down on her then.
And that Etha,n too—by then, he'd have to obediently acknowledge her as his girlfriend.
Just because of that bidding incident last time, Eric must have said something to Ethan's mother, forcing Ethan to break up with her.
Ethan was such a coward; he didn't dare resist at all. Now they could only pretend to break up and carry on a secret relationship.
Lily walked into the base and saw cameras set up inside, too.
It looked like this scene would be filmed here.
Zoey came over, "Are you okay? You look really pale."
"I'm fine. How was the afternoon training?"
"We were supposed to train, but the crew said they needed to film, and they've been teaching everyone how to act and coordinate, so we didn't get to train."
Lily's expression immediately turned cold.
Peter definitely did this on purpose. He knew full well that the team had to compete next year, and everyone was squeezing in practice time from their spare time.
Everyone's practice time was already precious.
At that moment, Peter walked in, "Is everyone ready? Just do what I taught you earlier."
Lily kept a straight face and looked at Peter, "When can we finish filming?"
"That depends on everyone's coordination and the actors' performance."
Peter's expression was calm, as if nothing had happened earlier. "If you don't act well, then it'll take longer, and we might have to continue tomorrow."
Lily felt annoyed, "I remember there are only two scenes total—this one and one outdoor scene."
"That's right. You can memorize your lines now. We'll film the male and female leads' scenes first."
Lily went back to the office to get the script. She had written scripts before, so it wasn't too difficult for her to pick it up.
When she returned to the main hall, Peter looked at her, "We're about to start. Are you ready?"
"I'm ready."
Lily walked to her position. Her role was simple—also a team captain.
But she was playing a villain character who looked down on the female lead and ended up being humiliated.
She had to PK with Sophie's game character.
But when the two of them were PKing, Sophie died very quickly.
Sophie said pitifully, "Lily, this is acting. You need to go easy on me; otherwise, how can we continue filming?"
Peter calmly said from the side, "Do it again."
Sophie's eyes showed triumph. Finally, she got to beat Lily at something.
No matter what, she was the one who won.
Even if Lily was unwilling, she could only show some weaknesses, but even so, Sophie's game character still died.
Lily was getting impatient, "Did you leave your brain at home today? Can you still lose at this? How did you compete before?"
Sophie's eyes immediately turned red again, "I didn't mean to."
Peter walked over, "Lily, since you're not willing to lose to Sophie, then we can't film today. We'll have to wait until tomorrow."
"No, we're filming today." Lily didn't want to waste time.
But Peter shook his head, "Everyone take a break. I'll go over the scene with her. After all, my sister is a newcomer, so everyone please be understanding."
The others didn't say anything.
Peter took Lily upstairs to the office.
But Lily was angry, "It's clearly because Sophie is too weak. If I show weaknesses too deliberately, everyone will see right through it. People will think that's the level of Empire Team."
This was supposed to be a youth drama promoting the Empire Team.
"I know, Sophie is too weak. It has nothing to do with you."
Peter's tone was relaxed, and he even went to get himself a glass of water.
Lily looked at him, "So you're deliberately wasting time?"
"Yes, deliberately."
Peter's expression was malicious. He knew Lily wanted the team to train hard and prepare for next year's competition.
Lily snatched the cup from his hand and threw it directly into the trash can.
She said coldly, "What exactly do you want?"
Peter wasn't angry. He took a tissue from the desk and wiped his clothes methodically.
He said calmly, "I'm teaching you a lesson. If you don't listen to your brothers at home, this is what happens!"
