Chapter 99 Let Go of Personal Qualities, Enjoy a Crazy Life
When David heard Lily's rebuttal, he felt his authority as a parent had been offended.
He couldn't help but speak up: "Lily, after all, this is a family matter. How can you handle it like this?"
Besides, Sophie's father had once saved Lily's life!
Had Lily forgotten all of that?
Even the investigators couldn't stand it and said, "Mr. Roberts, aren't you being a bit too biased? Sophie was the one who cheated. What does this have to do with Lily?"
"Exactly. How could Lily cheat? She's already in first place."
"Usually, it's the poor students who cheat. Good students don't need to, let alone someone who's first in the entire city. That's not something you can copy your way to."
David was speechless for a moment, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
He still couldn't accept this fact.
How did Sophie become the one who cheated?
David stubbornly replied: "But Sophie has always been well-behaved and sensible. On the other hand, Lily was reported first. Have you investigated that thoroughly?"
Deep down, he still felt that no matter how much Lily improved, she couldn't possibly jump straight to first place in the city!
It seemed too far-fetched, no matter how he thought about it!
"We've heard about Lily being in first place. Her grades are fine."
"I'm telling you, Mr. Roberts, your family is really strange. You have a daughter who's first in the city, and instead of being happy and treasuring her, you're hoping she cheated. What are you thinking?"
"Right? Instead of protecting the sister who's first in the city, you believe a girl with such poor grades who lies constantly. Rich people's world, I really don't get it!"
David's face turned red with anger, unable to say a word in response.
He looked at Lily in disbelief, never expecting her grades to improve so much!
And the investigation found no problems!
But when she was little, he never noticed Lily was good at studying!
Lily looked at Sophie sitting on the ground: "Stop acting innocent. Just admit you cheated. The evidence is right here anyway. Maybe you can plead for mercy and get a lighter punishment?"
"Lily, aren't you going too far?"
Lily sneered: "David, those are the exact words Sophie said to me just now. I'm just repeating them. Now you think it's too much? But when Sophie was targeting me earlier, you didn't think it was too much?"
David was instantly silenced.
He really hadn't noticed that just now.
Because Sophie had always been the vulnerable one, he naturally protected her more.
David still thought Lily was too aggressive: "Sophie is much more sensible than you. Why are you being so petty with her?"
"Sophie is such an idiot, she can't even get into a regular college, even with cheating. I really don't need to be petty with her. But I'm warning her to stop messing with me! She's weak and loves to play games. She's not worthy of being my opponent!"
After Lily finished speaking, Sophie seemed triggered.
Sophie rushed straight at her, eyes red: "Lily, what gives you the right to say that about me? What gives you the right, you bitch!"
Lily grabbed Sophie's hair and slapped her several times across the face, making Sophie dizzy.
Lily used all her strength, showing no mercy.
Things had come to this point, and she was about to go crazy from being pushed around.
Since the Roberts family couldn't understand what she was saying, they might as well all go crazy together!
After being hit, Sophie lost all reason and fought back viciously against Lily.
But Lily pinned Sophie to the ground and beat her. Sophie was very thin from maintaining her figure.
She couldn't match Lily in weight.
At this moment, all old and new grudges were being settled.
Everyone was still processing what was happening when they saw Lily and Sophie fighting.
Michael was the first to speak: "David, what are you looking at? Stop them!"
Only then did David react. He stepped forward and grabbed Lily's shoulder: "Lily, stop right now."
Lily didn't move and continued beating Sophie.
David simply picked Lily up.
Lily turned around and bit his wrist, not letting go until she tasted blood.
David grimaced in pain: "Lily, have you lost your mind?"
Lily wiped the corner of her mouth. Her hair was messy, and her eyes were cold.
She said calmly, "You people drove me to this!"
Austin helped Sophie up, but her face was beaten to a pulp, and her hair was a mess.
Sophie burst into tears: "David, you have to stand up for me. She hit me!"
David immediately had a headache. He looked at Lily: "Aren't you going to apologize?"
"Apologize?"
Lily turned and grabbed the vase from the table, throwing it at David: "Sophie was the one who attacked first. Why should I apologize? Why? Screw you!"
Lily's head was hot, and she threw whatever she could grab.
She cursed: "It's been like this since childhood. Every time Sophie cries, I have to apologize. What the hell am I apologizing for? Tell me, what do I owe you people?"
Lily smashed everything in the room that could be smashed in one breath.
Finally, Lily grabbed the IV stand nearby and glared viciously at David, Sophie, and the others standing there: "Say it again if you dare! Apologize for what? I didn't hear you clearly just now!"
Refuse moral blackmail, just go crazy when things happen!
So satisfying.
The hospital room was a complete mess.
No one dared to speak.
David looked at the things smashed all over the floor and couldn't help but say: "Michael, look what you've spoiled her into!"
Going crazy and smashing things at the drop of a hat!
What kind of behavior is this?
Michael looked helpless. Lily had been pushed to this point—it was thei fault as her brothers.
No wonder Lily went crazy!
Michael looked up at Lily, his tone filled with guilt: "Can you put that down first, and then we'll talk?"
"No!"
Lily simply climbed onto the table. If she were going crazy, she'd go all the way!
Originally, she planned to stay away from the Roberts family and keep to herself.
But they insisted on pushing her to the edge, so she wouldn't be polite anymore.
Austin instinctively said, "Lily, I think you're holding Michael's IV stand!"
Only then did Lily look down. It really was!
Sophie immediately cried: "Lily, if you have a problem with me, come at me. Don't take Michael's IV stand. He'll get hurt."
After hearing this, Michael frowned at Sophie.
How had he never noticed before that Sophie's words were off? She seemed to be looking out for him, but was actually blaming Lily.
This made it seem like everything was Lily's fault!
Michael directly pulled out his IV needle: "It's fine. I'm not going to die."
He didn't want this IV stand to become a reason for Lily to be blamed.
He owed Lily, his sister, so much. He could even give his life for Lily!
Seeing Michael pull out the needle, Lily felt uncomfortable.
She said coldly: "I don't need you to do this!"
Lily put the IV stand back, then pointed at Sophie: "Cry, cry, cry. All you know how to do is cry. Every time you cry and play the victim, it's like everything is my fault. So annoying!"
Sophie's crying rhythm was disrupted by Lily.
She really hadn't expected Lily to just go crazy!
Sophie whimpered in a high-pitched voice: "David, it hurts so much."
Playing the victim was such a useful trick—why wouldn't she use it?
